I'd agree the heel turn was a tad rushed...but I've been saying she was one bad day away from burning everything since like season 4 so I wouldn't say it was exactly out of nowhere :ortonout

Also I think she was really hoping the bells wouldn't ring so she could burn everything and was pissed when they did...also since she was on the outs with Tyrion and Jon at that point she wanted to make them fear her as she thought they were a bigger threat to the throne than Cersei at this point and she's been saying a ruler needs to inspire fear. The attack was a direct message to Tyrion and Jon to not fuck with her (now nonexistent, unless it's the powerful usurper way) claim

I didn't even think about her needing to be feared if she couldn't be loved. I guess a good fuck could have saved the day.

I can only hope they do fear her now. Show would be so anticlimactic if some random Stark got the Iron Throne, even Snow.

I like Snow but most of his arc had to do with the Night's Watch and the Night King. Should have just let him kill the Night King.

I do agree she wanted to burn the city down regardless. She wasn't a fan of the bell when Tyrion mentioned it.

Her and Grey Worm stormed the city with every intention of making the city pay for Misseinda.

It was them standing with Cersei that caused her death.

Personally think it'd be way too predictable for nice Dany to get the Iron Throne mainly bc everyone been wanting that since season 1, mad Dany would be fine and go with the bittersweet ending but Jon would easily be the best ruler...can't say I expected a good ruler to get it either tho but personally I don't think its gonna he any sort of happy ending, one of them dying and my money's on Dany but I'd love if that happened and Jon still just said FUCK this throne I'm going home :lmao

I have zero problem with the Mad Queen getting the throne if that's how they're going. I'm just mad at this turn because usually that means they're gonna lose. Hollywood typically goes for happy endings. Though I can't see a happy ending for me if anyone but Dany gets it. Dany is the only character who's entire arc was leading her to the throne. Now that Dany has gone heel, my dream ending would be if the writers threw another twist out and Jon turns heel too and joins Day on the throne as the Mad Kingdom. I'd be fine if he said fuck this and went back to Winterfell, though.

Everyone been saying the ending wouldn't be happy and I never interpreted that as "everyone dies" so everything happening so far seems to fit, whoever ends up on the throne gonna be broken and make us question if they should be king/queen bc they'll probably suck tbh this ain't no lord of the rings storybook ending, game of thrones always been more realistic with the ruthless and morally corrupt characters usually winning

Part me thinks the ending is gonna suck.

I didn't want to let the negativity in, but both Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke have shit on the finale in interviews.

That said, I agree. GOT has always been more brutal with the reality of death and war.

If Dany somehow wins, I think she's gonna kill all the remaining Starks.

Long story short Westeros gonna be worse off than they were when my boy Bobby B was fucking and drinking on the throne

Also them not liking it actually makes me more excited bc I wanna see how terrible the outcome is for Westeros, Robb and Cat's actor's also hated the red wedding for obvious reasons. Plus the online meltdowns have been amazingly entertaining bc a lot of these new age fans really thought they were getting a happy ending :TI:
