Day 10 was a super good show! Every match was enjoyable in its own way.
There wasn't a single bad thing on the show.

- Elgin vs Takahashi was a good show opener. ***
Elgin just made me like a Yujiro match, WTF?!
I loathe Yujiro, and while I'm not a fan of Elgin's, he dragged a good match out of Yujiro.
Thank you, Elgin! And I couldn't be more happier that Yujiro lost.
Also, Elgin needs to ditch that ugly ass robe... Just set it on fire, dude.

- Kojima vs Honma was really good. ***½
Why'd you have to win, Kojima? You're a dick.
All joking aside, this was a typical Honma match, not in a bad way by any means.
HonmaMania worked hard, the crowd was invested as always, and his opponent looked good in the win.
The finishing stretch was fun, also.
Aaand, Honma did not win. Again. I am sad.
But, I still have hopes of this bastard winning one day and when it happens, it'll be grand.

- Ishii vs Nagata was great! ****
I'm a big fan of both guys, so this was an extremely enjoyable match for me. MOTN, for sure.
Oh, and I totally marked out for that finishing sequence!
They just started slapping the hell out of each other, then Ishii headbutted Nagata and put him away with a Brainbustaaaah!

- Okada vs Machine Gun was a stellar and an enjoyable co-ME. ***¾

- Nakamura vs Goto was a pretty good ME. ***½
I'm glad Nakamura picked up a win here and him winning with a Rolling Juji-Gatame was just too sweet!

Day 11 was good for what it was.
The first two matches were definitely skip-worthy, while the rest of the card was much better and saved the show.

- Fale vs Tenzan was a DUD. Worst show opener of the tourney thus far, definitely.
Watching this match felt like an eternity, it looked like two septuagenarians squaring off. Hell, I could've wrestled a better match with a mannequin.

- Toru Yano vs Shibata was decent for the time given. **
Shibata, the guy who's been constantly putting on great performances and is one of the best of the tourney, loses to Yano. Bad booking, Gedo and Jado, bad!

- Tanahashi vs Doc was good, thanks to Ace Tana being a carryjob machine. ***

- AJ Styles vs Makabe was MOTN. ****

- El Ingobernable Naito vs Kota Ibushi was a stellar ME. ***¾

I really just have the energy to agree rather than rate. I've been extraordinarily busy this week and I got a little behind. Just got caught up.

Honestly I can't even begin to speculate on how this tournament is going to end. In order for anyone other than Okada to win the B Block, Okada is going to have to lose 2 out of his remaining 3 matches. While that's not impossible, having the IWGP champion lose like that seems a bit unlikely... not unheard of.

But we'll see. I'm waaaaaay too exhausted to put any real thought into it. Been a spectacular tournament so far.

Oh, and Red Shoes had a better day today than yesterday. No attacks that I could recall.

- Oh, I see... Well, I was wondering why Mr. Rainmaker wouldn't post his G1 review before I did, usually I'm the one that has to catch up with the tourney.

- The tourney could end either way. Shibata, Naito or Nakamura winning would really float my boat!
As we've discussed before, in order for Naka to win, Okada has to eat two more losses. That's if Naka's really scheduled to win this thing.

Yeah it's just been a busy week. In addition to the tournament, it was Jon Stewart's last episode of the Daily Show, Ultima Lucha, I've been working on a YouTube video for a creepypasta channel I'm working on, my regular gym workouts, catching up on my novel, and just being my all around sexy and amazing self (which takes up a TON of energy) and working on my wrestling column. I'm planning on not getting behind again though.

I honestly don't know what to think about the tournament. If Okada wins his next match, I think he'll take b block. I don't think he'll lose 2 in a row.

As far as A block, my money is on Naito. He's too hot as a heel right now and would be a good contrast to any b block face.

Okada doesn't have to lose 2 more, at least not if the B block winner is supposed to be Nakamura (which would be my pick). If Nakamura wins every match (including vs Okada) they will tie (assuming Okada wins the 2 other matches) and since Shinsuke will have the head to head win he'll advance.

Yeah the tie breaker, that had slipped my mind. I dunno, I thought Nakamura was going to win but I've been underwhelmed by his matches. My assumption is the elbow injury is hindering him. Doesn't mean he won't win, but I'm just not as sure of it as I was.

In that case, if he does win, it'll be a nice little surprise since I'm moderately doubtful now.

I really can't get over how great of a heel Naito is. Everything is being done right with him: the look, the attitude, the costume... the extremely upbeat music that has grandeur yet he walks very very slowly and apathetically to the ring while it's playing. This is what a heel should be like. Whoever is responsible for this idea is a genius.

Day 13

Bad Luck Fale vs Ibushi *** Not good but not bad. Ibushi got some amazing offense, but that is to be expected.

Tetsuya Naito vs. Toru Yano *** This match was really good for what it was. It was basically Naito continuing his jackass behavior and Yano not being phased by it. Although I love Naito, I think Yano had some really good moments in this match. I loved how he turned his back on Naito several times but was still able to dodge Naito's offense. Naito has just become so extremely despicable, attacking referees after the match, spitting at fans, inviting the dumb ref back in to raise his hand, only to attack the idiot again. He has got to be the most effective heel in wrestling right now. I love the guy and even I kind of want to see him get his ass kicked by the block B winner, be it Nakamura or Okada (assuming Naito wins his block too... it's all up in the air at the moment).

AJ Styles vs Tenzan *** a decent match. AJ was in super douche mode tonight, picking on poor Red Shoes. I tell you though, Red Shoes is the most resilient ref in history. You hit him and he always gets back up right away. AJ was selling Tenzan's offense wonderfully.

Togi Makabe vs. Doc Gallows **1/2 This match did nothing for me. Gallows is just a dreadful seller... He always reacts to the move way too long before it actually ever hits. He was almost all the way flipped over the rope from a clothesline before Makabe even touched him.

Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Katsuyori Shibata **** Excellent match. Tanahashi could wrestle a paper bag and put on a good match... wait, no. I'll go even further. Tanahshi could wrestle Hulk Hogan and put on a good match. This was just an excellent main event. If any wrestler today is to wrestling what Ric Flair was in the 80s, it's Tanahashi. Great match.

Day 13 was good!

- Fale vs Ibushi was a decent show opener. **¼
Ibushi was on fire here and was taking the fight to the big man, till BLF took over and turned the match into a slow, painful death.
Ibushi tried to make BLF look like a capable wrestler, but it didn't really work out well. It's not on Ibushi, though.
Also, BLF having so many points in this tourney is a bloody shame.

- Tetsuya 'Zero Fucks Given' Naito vs Toru Yano was good and quite fun to watch! ***
I love El Ingobernable Naito, he was born to be a heel.
Naito dominated the match, bullied the ref, while Yano had his moments, as well.
YTR dodging Naito's offense with his back turned and doing the Naito pose was hilarious!
Highlight of this match would be Yano getting (out) Yano'd, Naito hit a low blow, followed by Destino and it's all over!

- AJ Styles vs Tenzan was pretty good, thanks to AJ being a carryjob machine. ***½

- Makabe vs Doc was solid. **½

- Tanahashi vs Shibata was incredible and MOTN! ****¾
