I knew Munich would be on the list. Most overrated movie ever IMO.

Definitely among the most overrated of all time, though at least it didn't win any Oscars.

True. Critics never say anything bad about Spielberg. Hell, they even fawned all over War of the Worlds, which was just a horrible film in every aspect. Munich marked the second film in Spielberg's "shit trilogy", the one that started with War of the Worlds and was followed later by Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

However, he has also made one other piece of filth that's been beloved for far too long, and we'll be looking at it a little bit later in this list.

Yes, not to mention I really had no emotional connection to Tom Cruise or his son, so when he "came back" I couldn't have cared less. Amazingly enough though, War of the Worlds is not on this list, since I figured I'd have more than enough time to insult it while trashing Munich..which is what just happened! :

I just think Sword of Gideon did a way better job telling the same story, and didn't use people who don't come across as believable in the roles.

As for those three movies, no, they aren't on the list, but I could easily do an entire thread about how much I think they suck.

Overall, those 3 aren't great movies, but they had moments of goodness. When the 3rd movie was released, a theater nearby was showing the first 2 beforehand. I, unfortunately, made the mistake of seeing them at that theater back-to-back-to-back. Really, a terrible idea.

War of the Worlds, what an obnoxiously loud movie.

As for Munich, I've never seen it and now I doubt I will :

14. Babel

Alejandro González Iñárritu is an impressive filmmaker, having helmed such gems as Amores Perros, 21 Grams and Biutiful. Unfortunately, they can't all be winners, as Babel seeks to prove at every turn. Featuring a star-studded cast which includes Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett and Gael Garcia Bernal and the interesting premise of an interlocking story, there really is no reason why it should have failed. Yet it manages to do so from the very beginning all the way through to the drab conclusion, and along the way its less exciting than watching paint dry. I think the main problem with this one is that I couldn't care less about any of the characters in it. I get that their lives are supposed to be important to me, but since most of them are caricatures of real people, they're way too over the top to get into. There's also some Asian schoolgirl softcore porn if you're into that sort of thing....

Yep, that's going on here as well, as if the film wasn't outrageous enough already. Anyhow, as Iñárritu is a well known art-house director, this film was showered with praise when it was released and managed to garner 7 Academy Award nominations (including Best Picture, ugh) and won the Oscar for Best Original Score. The Academy even managed to get THAT wrong, as I fel the scores for both Pan's Labyrinth and The Queen were way better, but hey, at least it didn't win anything else. Some say this film was powerful...I say they're lying, or just spending too much time force feeding themselves pretentious crap that has the nerve to call itself art. Either way, you would do best to avoid this film at all costs, because the only Babel going on in it is the babbling of an incessantly annoying cast and a story that never manages to go anywhere.

I think you put it perfect, it just seems like one of those movies that are supposed to be very "arty" and so people pretend that they believe it's really deep to seem more intelligent or something. My sister in fact bought this movie and said it was amazing, it just never appealed to me.

There's a lot of movies out there that people pass off as good because they're "artistic" when in reality, they just suck.
