I'm pretty bummed out actually, I was looking forward to a spirited defense of Avatar. Oh well, I'll go back to watching Donald Sutherland fuck Julie Christie in Don't Look Now (coincidentally being reviewed tomorrow in The Wing Kong Exchange, plug plug).

I already gave my argument and got insulted for it.

Not by me. I argued the points you brought up and then you went away.

I thought the only redeeming quality that Avatar had was that it was aesthetically pleasing. I guess I'll have to watch it again.

Yeah, see Avatar on TV without 3D or HD and it falls apart right in front of your eyes. 2 and a half hours of the same movie everyone's seen before.

I saw District 9 in the cinema, that film is the bomb.

And yes Apex, we do call it G & T.

It's certainly nice to look at, but so are boobies, and porn usually has a better story too.

And it tells a better story than Avatar even though there's major similarities. Just another example of how a little TLC in the writing department can work wonders.

I think I'll review it soon, was probably my favourite movie of 2009.

I thought District 9 was terrible too. To me, it had the predictable ending and the acting was blah by everyone. I will have to watch it again since it has been awhile, but that was what I got out of it the first time I watched it.

Really? I thought Sharlto Copley was awesome, considering I'd never heard of him before. Sure the ending was predictable, but the way they got there was not, at least in my opinion.

Ok so your complaining about how advanced they were. Who gives a shit? It's a movie. Unless you have a time machine and can go into the future, you can't say that they won't have such advanced technology. And you say the special effects were bad. How? The effects were amazing. It captured your imagination and made you say holy shit. Yeah it was predictable so what. Most movies are.

It's a fucking movie. Stop questioning little things like not being in a wheelchair due to advanced technology. And of course it wasn't realistic. Once again it's a movie

I already gave my argument and got insulted for it.

Please decipher where there is a good argument in there. Oh, you can't? There isn't one. Falling back on "it's a movie" is not an argument. Agreeing that it is visually pleasing isn't an argument. So please, tell me where your argument is. And if that is all you got out of 24 hours of preparing, you shouldn't be here.

It has been a couple of years, but I walked away with a bad taste in my mouth because of it. I do remember not liking the acting and I could remember guessing what was going to happen next. I'm going to go back and watch it just to be on the safe side so I can validate what I said.
