I really doubt Carmelo's dumb enough to make himself the villain by dominating the ball like he did the first month of the season. PGs have always gotten plenty of assists on Carmelo-led teams, and Lin's the only PG option for the next month at least.

I don't see them being dumb enough to fuck up a winning formula thus far taking the ball out of Lin's hands. Melo was already starting to buy into the idea of the ball not always being in his hands anyways. That said obviously Lin's days of getting 20 plus points a night will be over should be good for assist though with the pick and roll with Amare.
