Ah, CWF. Calling it 100% garbage is a bit insulting considering my time head writing for their second brand produced some good shows and I had a successful run with my characters but whatever, it is what it is. The nightmare of trying to book an unbiased product when you're surrounded by needy, demanding, favoritism-Nazis is over.

My stance on long TT's is I think they should only be done when they make sense. Like, don't go super-long with your trash talks just to spite your opponents or because you think it's expected of you or the situation demands it. If you can't write long trash talks successfully, don't do it. There was a long time that I couldn't, as time went on I got better at it and that's why you see the Stone Cold rants that you currently see. lol

Memories outside of that, man, I could go on all day. Great trash talking sessions(Austin/Batista, Austin/Punk, Austin/Christian), awesome feuds(Mankind/Sting, Austin/Del Rio), fun characters(R.E.M.E.D.Y., Joker Sting), I even have fond memories from my days of writing(Chosen Destiny vs. The New Age Outlaws vs. Beer Money vs. The Great Hassan in a Tag Team Turmoil match, Jimmy Jacobs vs. Tyson Tomko in a Lake of Fire match, Undertaker vs. Abyss vs. Raven vs. Lance Storm in a Monster's Ball match).

Since The Rock vs. Del Rio came up, I still remember something Rock said in one of his trash talks about going to Taco Bell and ordering the XXL Burrito and receiving a regular sized one, telling Alberto he screwed up "The Great One"'s order. Classic Slim. There are a lot of things I remember, but this is what I'll cover for now.

I remember in ETW, HBK Fan was talking months before Wrestlemania that he wanted to have Shawn Michaels face Randy Orton for the title. He said he wanted to have Shawn win the Rumble, and face the long time champion Orton in that exact fashion. Sure enough, when the Rumble came... Shawn Michaels won the Rumble and Randy Orton was still the champion. Except DOD played Orton so he deserved it, but it was very questionable who should have won that Rumble match. Anyway, we all knew it was bullshit what was going on... but since HBK Fan was all like IM THE BOSS THIS IS MY REGIME AND WHAT I SAYS GOES... everyone stuck with it. Lot of complaining, lot of behind the scenes complaining... you just knew that the ETW wouldn't last long at all after that one. When Justin quit, since he did the best amazing shows EVER, a lot of people followed him out the door. It just wasn't worth it... being a part of an ETW without it's rightful leaders in Vita and Justin. HBK Fan was left without just 2gangster (who played Shawn Michaels, of course) and a bunch of other guys who didn't give a shit about what was right or wrong... or hell, even saw it as an opportunity to get themselves higher in the card. The place didn't last long, it eventually imploded thanks to Troy.

If I knew what I know now I would have changed a lot of the things I've done while trying to have fun. Really, I was just trying to win... and I was a dick about it. Prodigy deserved a big win too, he worked hard for it... but I was selfish. I apologize for that one. There's a lot of stuff I was a dick about. I remember knowing full well that Vita was burnt out... so I just posted 4,000 words anyway as Undertaker at Wrestlemania 2, thinking that there was no way he would catch up to it. I felt real bad after I started talking to Vita on the regular on MSN after that, but I guess the hard work made him respect me a little more... even though it was obvious to anyone I was an immature little prick with way too much time on my hands.

What else? Oh, yea... MSN was probably where all the shit would go down. We would all talk and complain about this and that, and I remember being pretty obsessed about the e-feds... UCW in particular, we all got pretty caught up in it. But I did help UCW I thought, when I picked up RAW and tried to make it a kick ass show. I had a lot of help, it was SBS (god bless his soul for putting up with my shit)... there was my long time friend Slim (who to this day is wayyyyy better than I ever was)... DOM and Justin (much love) and of course, Itchweed (2 chainzzzzz). Most importantly to the formula was Legendkiller. He really was such a workhorse. He was definitely my favorite partner to work with on RAW. I know I'm forgetting people but it was a long time ago.

After a while I started cheating, and UCW was becoming more like work than it was fun. It was nobody else's fault but mine... I didn't want to quit, but I didn't want to put all the time and effort in... so I started copying matches and stuff, changing the names but keeping it relatively the same match. Shane was the one who picked up on it good, he was so spot on with that stuff. I remember telling Justin about it, he was a proud motherfucker... I always respected that. But he told EOR who was a dick about it ever since... I was just trying to save some time, I don't think a lot of people then ever really read the matches... they just skimmed to the pinfalls and kickouts and stuff... I know that's what I did when I read my matches. Shit, I always thought it was boring reading the damn matches. But that's just my personal pet peeve. The creativity was always there, no matter what.

There's a lot of memories from fedding... and I know that I always tried hard when it came to handling Undertaker and Edge... even when I brought the Army, I gave it my best. It's why I've been planning to come back for one more shot, knowing that winning isn't everything... with the only intention to have fun playing a character I've always wanted to play. I mean, with school and work... it's all I'll be able to do.

You got banned as Derrick, then signed up as an alt (which in PWM you could have kissed it all goodbye, don't see why the rules aren't the same here) and then you no-showed as Macabre. You might say maturity is coming but are we supposed to believe you've totally matured in what... a month and a bit?! Andrew is a good example where all power has gone, and he is better for it. He's an active member of the roster with a character that he's had for possibly the longest he's ever had, and it's good to see he's doing well with it and enjoying it.

I'm going to make this post relevant to it's title now... memory lane.... still waiting for you to drop your two cents on our saga Slim! haha

Hey, man. To finally conclude this little drama that I've accidentally caused, I don't expect you to suddenly start thinking I'm gonna be more mature when all I've been acting during the past few months was immature. Extremely immature. I think I've noticed that far too late. Anyways, I'll get to this in a few weeks time, just wait, if you wanna. Not only you Lewb, but all of you. Again, I'm sorry, and back to the topic.

As for you Dres, well, yeah CWF was what it was, but sometimes it was fun. I'm glad that I've had the opportunity to play, let's say, Beer Money, and I remember that you told me they were good, so that was atleast one positive thing from CWF, to say the least.

Yeah my memory isn't the sharpest but I remember that the downfall of ETW really began when Justin left. Everyone seemed to split after that and it was the right idea to split after all.

Ah, I guess I might have picked something up after 7 years, you know. It's crazy, it feels like just yesterday we were trolling on proboards in an irish fed... and I was losing to Dwarrior easily. Holy shit... 7 years.

Who is this Jay Leznar?

Yeah that's him.

I, for one, would love to see this happen. Honestly I had forgotten about the Army until it came up in this thread, I mostly remember Edge when he was on his own. Anyhoo, never would've guessed that you are who you are without this particular post.

e-feds don't work. at the end of the day any e-fed is going to come down to a top match with people getting upset because some third party judge decided so and so won. I hate to say it, because I think a lot of people would either freak out or hate it, but hbk fan wasn't that far off from what i feel is the real formula.

If you didn't win or lose your match because of posting, if you won or lost because of dynamic storylines, and championships were viewed as rewards due to high calibre posting and earned respect, people wouldn't feel the need to post crazy length TT's and would just have FUN. Remember Fun? What E-feds were supposed to be about? If title's weren't some measuring stick on who has the biggest e-penis, but were just a thing to help TT for a feud, and posts were smaller and more frequent, and you could develop a character with a staff that not only listened, but seeked you out to hear what your thoughts were, wouldn't that have been more fun?

But nobody wanted to run that, least of all me.

You paint a pretty nice picture there, even though it sounds like hypocrisy for me of all people to say... I'd love to join something like that. Especially if you want to down the road, if you ever feel like doing it.

This is what we're trying to do with ACW, but nope - we're running into the old "Staff are pushing themselves!" "Why isn't there a measurable rating system?" "Why did I lose to this guy!" bullshit. This was also what was attempted at our old fed, but failed because of an overbearing GM who left no space whatsoever for even mildly creative angles. In fact, most fedheads seem to hate creativity, which leads to the majority of e-fed characters being "generic heel #38654", with no personality and no growth potential. Which is why, in turn, their handlers drop them after two weeks, and e-feds eventually die out from lack of characters.

I don't believe TOTAL creative control by the handlers works (it's somewhat anarchic - there HAS to be someone to push them all in one direction), but allowing them to decide where to take THEIR PEOPLE that THEY CREATED should, in theory, be an ideal course of action. But this petty e-penis comparison bullshit (great analogy BTW) kind of makes that a pipe dream, sadly.
