Watched this movie tonight, and I gotta' say I was definitely impressed. It was way better than I expected, I'd recommend it to all of you for sure.

Not a fan of the cast, I like spaghetti westerns but not when its full of Hollywood prettyboys.

Pretty boy cast? Who? Leonardo? He's a great actor and changed his look and character roles to avoid the pretty boy stereotype.

Christoph Waltz? One of the best newer actors.

Jaime Foxx? Not really. I actually haven't seen many of his films but never considered him a pretty boy.

Samuel Jackson? Hell no!

Wasn't John Travolta a pretty boy once? Well, I believe our opinion changed when he appeared in Pulp Fiction.

DiCaprio and Waltz outdid themselves in this movie, both were amazing. Samuel Jackson was hilarious and played his character so great. Another AWESOME surprise was that Jonah Hill had a scene and it was so hilarious. Was a completely unneeded scene, but it's one of the funniest I've seen in a movie that isn't a comedy, and I loved it. It was almost like a skit Family Guy or some show would have done if the scene had been serious to make fun of it. Great stuff.

I was not referring to whether you like or dislike the director. I really couldn't care less how you waste your life in front of a television screen.

I was referring to your dimwitted assertion that his movies strive for an "indy" ambiance. The fact his movies are always casted with the likes of Samuel L. Jackson, Brad Pitt, John Travolta, Bruce Willis, Uma Thurman, Christoph Waltz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kurt Russel, Rose McGowan, and Michael Madsen (basically a fuck ton of the biggest actors in Hollywood) automatically dismisses your idiotic claim. And if you still don't understand, try indexing the budget his movies typically work with to accomplish the mass amounts of violence, particularly Kill Bill... tens of millions of dollars, far beyond the capabilities of any indy film.

There are only two possibilities your post conveys, either that you haven't watched Tarantino's movies (besides the one about OMG NAZIS) or you've never watched an indy film, but you want us to believe you have because maybe it will fool us into thinking "wow this guy really knows his shit!". Or both. However it's clear you don't understand the comparison you just made, blatantly demonstrated by your abominable description of his movies. I've heard many criticisms of Tarantino's style, most of which revolved around them being the complete polar opposite of how you described them and that they're too violent. I suggest before you compare two things next time, you should really know something about BOTH items. Or either.

Having big names doesn't mean a whole lot now does it? Ryan Reynolds was in Buried and wasn't that considered an indy film? I don't like Tarantino's style. Simply put. Pulp Fiction in my opinion tried too hard to be something different. I'll admit I don't typically watch many indy films, doesn't mean you have to call me an idiot. You're not a genius pal, get over yourself.

Everyone was great! I don't think Quentin is wrong for casting guys like Leonardo Di Caprio and Brad Pitt. These guys are actors that people want to see and honestly, they aren't bad actors!! I didn't think that John Travolta would impress me in Pulp Fiction because I was used to his character in Grease but boy was I wrong. Quentin chooses actors that are worth watching and brings out the best in them.

That was great! There were so many funny lines throughout the entire film! I have never laughed so much during Quentin's films!

She appeared when Django was going back to Candyland. If only I could find a video!!

I think I know what you're talking about. I'm pretty sure it was just for effect because if I'm not mistaken she gave him a kind of "you disgust me" look. Probably did it to show that the other slaves really didn't like Django. I could be completely wrong though.

I think you're right. Did you watch Death Proof? Apparently, the girl in the bandanna is Zoe from Death Proof. He could have just been pointing her out.

Also want to point out that the music all throughout the movie was great, lots of different tracks, really added to the experience I thought.

Lost interest in QT a long time ago. His post Jackie Brown work has shown him to be a one trick pony who struggles to write fresh characters or construct a clear narractive. Worse of all his films have become smug and too focused on rehashing older films, rather than come up with new ideas. He has just become lazy and not that entertaining.

Fantastic movie, far from an indy film you fucking idiot. None of Tarrantino's movies should be labeled as such because it is the farthest thing from it. Tarrantino despises CGI which is why the films look the way they do. They look like they have in the past, before movie companies became obsessed with the digital production relying on computer animations. Tarrantino relies on the actors, on the dialogue of the film. The reason he is so successful is because he thinks outside of the box. When you see his films, you are not watching the ordinary. His action films aren't for the dimwitted (I'm talking about Transformers and Battleship movie watchers) and require a presence of mind and a knowledge of basic historical aspects (slavery, holocaust, samurai customs). Django Unchained is a stroke of brilliance, peppered with the little things that make a film director a legend. I admire Quentin's talent and I urge you all to see this movie. I'm purposely not discussing the lengths of the film so that you all can go into this movie fresh and with an open mind. I daresay you will wake up the next morning and go about your day thinking of this movie as you complete your daily activities. I know I did.

Seriously, you should probably never critique a movie ever again. Just awful.

But please enlighten me as to which of Tarantino's films were "rehashing old films". Oh and please note the movies they rehashed too because I would seriously love to hear this.
