Remember last year how Punk's contract expired at MITB and he was planning on walking out with the wwe title? Remember his shoot promo? Remember the 5 star match that him and Cena put on? Remember how awesome the angle was? Good so do I. The angle was awesome... Then MITB was over. In just two weeks, Rey mysterio became the new wwe champion. Then the wwe decides its fair to make Rey defend his title against Cena the same night he won it. Of course Cena becomes wwe champion and... OH MY FUCKING GOD PUNK IS BACK. wait a minute you didn't mark like a little girl because it was ONLY two weeks. After all the shit about Punk quitting (and basically attacking everything about WWE) and bam he decides to come back in two weeks. Yeah Punk some threat you gave us.

So did WWE completely screw up the angle? Could they have done something different and if so what?

Yes they could have done alot different. They could have let Punk retain the title, signed him behind the scenes and let him fake walked out with the title. And do something with that idea from there.

Yeah, I think they could have waited it out at least a month longer. Would have loved to see a Cena/Rey rematch at Summerslam and then have Punk return at the end of the show or at the next Raw. But nowadays, they have such a short attention span and they wanted to strike while the iron was hot, that they pretty much screwed up the whole thing.

Oh well. It was amazing while it lasted (all of 3 weeks).

I'm tired of WWE screwing up angles. That shit was great but they had to drop the ball. That's no better than Show being in this triple threat match.

They should have had Punk show up on different shows like ROH or NJPW and some talk shows like Jimmy Fallon. That would get Punk some major exposure before returning. That would let Cena cut his "I'm not gonna let this get me down" promos and have a legit match against Rey at Summerslam. Punk could have returned and promo saying he was only gone for a month and already WWE went to shit. But no of course that didn't happen. All it led to was Kevin Nash returning which was totally unnecessary. Punk basically became a third wheel in a feud between Kevin and Triple H.

And if Nash has it his way, he's wanting to bring the nWo back with CM Punk as the leader.

Well I'd be ok with that. It's just the first time, it didn't do anything

CM Punk is 6'2

Not small as in height. Small as in just size in general. I'm referring to Nash's tweets about hating "small" guys winning the Word Title and you can tell he was sort of aiming that at Punk and Bryan (and maybe others).

But thanks for checking Wikipedia for me....

.....and that's why Nash thought him and Benoit "killed" the business when they won the titles. Because they're "small". Which is ridiculous since Nash's best bud, Shawn, isn't so huge himself.

But this another story for another time.
