As noted earlier, former WWE Superstar Daivari saved passengers on a train in Minneapolis, Minnesota last week. Daivari detailed the incident during an interview with WWE.com.

"I was just on the train and I was heading to the airport," said Daivari. "I'm from Minneapolis, so I was just visiting family. I got on the train and there was this guy saying racial and anti-Semitic stuff really loud, specifically at a few passengers, and you could tell they were really uncomfortable. One guy had actually pushed the emergency call button on the train. And this guy kept going on and on, and nobody was showing up to help.

"There was one older guy sitting in a chair and he told the guy, Hey, sit down, you're making the train ride really uncomfortable for everybody. At that point, the guy just got right in front of the older guy and physically threatened him, even threatened to kill him. That's when everybody started running for the emergency call buttons. They were all hitting the buttons, and we went another stop after that, which was another two minutes. When the doors opened, nobody got on the train, so we knew there were no cops waiting to get on and help.

"I didn't know if this guy had a knife in his pocket or a gun in his backpack, so I just went up to him, turned him around, grabbed him in a rear naked choke/sleeper hold and held until I felt his body go limp. I dropped him, locked on a body scissors and held him down until the next stop, which was about 45 seconds down the road. Then I just grabbed him by the seat of his pants and his collar and I threw him off the train. And mind you, from when this started, we probably went half the length of the trip, which was about 20 minutes. It was one thing when he was saying all that racial stuff, but when he started threatening passengers, I didn't know if it was just a big guy talking tough like he's at a bar or if he's got a weapon. By the time I got to the airport, there were still no cops at the train station."

First off shows the kinda of man Davari truly is which is kinda nice since he's always been a heel. I'm a bit curious as to why he told this to WWE thought he was with TNA? Wouldn't hurt to have him back in the WWE just do what you always do and put him with Jinder.

He hasn't been contracted with TNA since 2009. He's just doing independent stuff now.

I love when stories like this come out so people can see the real side of some professional wrestlers.

Awesome story and great to hear about this. I've heard Davari on a few of Cabana's podcasts and he's very cool. Great stuff.

One thing I find weird is: why'd he turn the guy around to apply a rear naked choke? The move is locked from behind, and if the guy was facing down a passenger on a seat, Daivari would have had to come either from behind or from the side, which means he wouldn't have had to turn the guy around to lock in the move.

Oh well. maybe it's just the writing. Kudos to him for intervening, however. Many wouldn't have.

I met Davari in 09, he was pretty cool. Good for him standing up for the passengers.

Not if Davari was sitting behind the guy being attacked then he would be walking up to the guys front and have to spin him around.

It's wrestling! It doesn't have to make sense! Just sit back and enjoy!

Would be awesome if WWE did an exclusive interview and brought Davari back.

After something like this, Davari is the perfect example that Linda would want in the company. It would atleast give her something to defend herself with about WWE.

I am happy as a pig in shit to hear about this, as it is one of those rare news stories that is good natured, and not intended to spread fear or hate, something that is exceptionally rare from TMZ at that. Davari should be honored as a fucking hero.

If anybody uses a wrestling move to take down a dude in real life, it's obviously fake. But enjoy dat shit! I'm joking by the way. It's pretty awesome how Davari handled it.

Did that to some neo-nazi guy in Van-city except it was a frontface lock. Not a big deal, good for him though.

Can't call him a hero, he was stifling free speech. hateful speech is still free speech.
