The 08 feud is the peak of his career and where he was the biggest star and I'd be baffled to find anybody who finds that an egregious opinion. Helped that he had Michaels who is the greatest in ring performer as a dance partner. All other stuff like The List shtick, the New Japan stuff, the AEW belt is like running over people or doing vigilante missions in GTA. Fun little time. Doesn't progress the main story . Hence side quest.
