He was injured i think he's okay now but unsure. I never remember if some of the guys like him ever got the official contract or if they were paid per appearance either

Maybe he finally joins Dark Order

If he was injured he might’ve get the frozen contract treatment

Bound to happen really. I'll echo the fact that when I watched Pillman in MLW I did think he had some ability to be at least decent in the industry. But in AEW he just was, not good. He didn't seem to get better at any point in the ring or any attribute outside of it.

I wanna say someone pushed back on that recently and got signed to a new one instead? Brian Cage maybe? He was working without a contract for a bit and I thought I remembered something like that

I thought that was what was the case with FTR. Could have been cage as well.

Pretty sure it was revealed FTR re-signed back in November or something around the time they were like "oh our contracts are actually up in March 2023 we didn't know" bc they were just working lmao

Only thing I remember of The Varsity Blondes is that they had Juila Hart and then she became evil

I can't say I've seen too much from either man to feel like AEW should really put the time and resources into developing them. They're levels behind so many of their peers.

He never really recovered from the MJF mini feud. It came out of nowhere MJF buried his family the announcers told us how heinous it was yet his sister & aunt are laughing. MJF beats him when Pillman is defending his family & then back to Dark. Then when Julia Hart turned on the varsity blondes in a match that didn’t involve them & they never feuded with the house of black or even mention that she existed afterwards.
