Kid has potential but is generic as all get out. Like Deezy said, being Brian Pullman’s son isn’t a personality trait.

Work the indies, see the world and come back better.

I don't really find it that sad, people complain when they keep people under contract they don't use and complain when they don't renew so what are you gonna do

Not sign in the first place is an option but then you're just cheering for wrestlers you like (assuming that's why you'd be upset they aren't used) not getting paid well

Agree with Chris, it's never fun to not have your contract not renewed but not inherently scummy. AEW also doesn't really slander people on the way out either (with the one exception of Big Swole which was a bad look for everyone involved). AEW was cool to hire a lot of people and keep them through the pandemic, the gravy train was always going to run out for some people that weren't producing results or backstage or fan favorites.

I do think the vast majority of people not re-signing with AEW will land on their feet, and the ones who don't, harshly or not, are probably simply not good enough to be in the business at this level

I will never understand why people get mad, sad, or whatever word you want to use when an obvious company with too many people starts releasing people to slim down their roster to something more manageable. If you have too many chiefs in the kitchen you have to get rid of some. There are plenty of options for them anywhere from the Indies, Canada, Mexico, Europe, Japan, and so on.

Also, before anyone says anything yes, I do get the outrage of when WWE released a whole lot of people during the height of the pandemic.

totally agree and def a big difference between not renewing someone at the end of their deal than a mass release of people (some of which had JUST been hired).

But yeah I agree on the roster bloat and options. This was always coming for AEW regardless if they got extra TV, especially with people exactly like BPJ who brought pretty much little value and wasn't really progressing for a good while (whether that's on booking or not, different discussion)

Yeah I can tell you for a fact, people on twitter were not begging for a Pillman push until this news came out. Also yeah they paid Brian for the time agreed. They do not owe him a job for life. WWE fired people part way through an agreed contract for stuff that was not gross misconduct.

I've seen a bit of that as well but at least it is from people who always did it

Hasn't BPJ done some cringey shit that made some fans not support him?

Once stars come in, people were bound to fall through the cracks. Even with extra TV time

Is Garrison still under contract? He’s probably next to not get renewed if he is.

Yeah worth noting his 2021 wins were mostly Varsity Blondes on the YouTube shows too

He was injured i think he's okay now but unsure. I never remember if some of the guys like him ever got the official contract or if they were paid per appearance either
