This might sound cold, but I sure hope this means that Jerry Lawler is off TV for good. He brings the show down for me every week. Replace him with Regal or Josh Matthews.

Why would Josh Matthews be any better than Lawler at the broadcast role? Matthews isn't exactly an amazing broadcaster, and has mostly lacked for any sense of personality.

He has as much personality as King has had the last year or so. I think Josh is a very underrated announcer actually.

I don't give a fuck if he has a personality or not, the guy can call a show and not be a hindrance to it with outdated material and jokes.

Josh doesn't have the personality of Cole, but yes, that's what I'd like, they've been damn good on Smackdown together for the past few weeks.

They just need to take the storylines off the announce table and let them call the action and plug shit as themselves not as characters.

In what way is Matthews, Cole light? He actually calls the fucking show without trying to get himself over as if he's the star. That's all I want from my announcers.

Josh Matthews is pretty witty when they let him be. Michael Cole is great with his prickish character.

Really I'd take anyone over Jerry Lawler though. I can't believe it's 2012 and I have to complain about Jerry Lawler still being on Raw every week. Every time a woman comes out, it's just a 5 second countdown until he says something either terrible or creepy or both. Then of course he has to make his tired ass jokes about Vickie every week. Just fuck off already Lawler, pleeease. The thrill was gone back in... well the thrill was never there frankly.

I'm genuinely happy Lawler is okay. I want to make sure it's understood I don't wish ill health on him, that would be some terrible karma. I'll talk a lot of stuff about Lawler, but man that freaked me out a bit on Raw as soon as I realized that the "Owen voice" was for real this time.

I was watching the PPV live when Owen died, it still sticks with me. It really has messed with me since when they insist on using that "this is serious tone" for angles, so I wasn't sure what was going on the first time Cole said something about it.

Now that Lawler is OK, can I make a quick caption of that photo?? Lemme know if this isn't cool and I'll edit my post.

Amazing that he is up and walking already. That video also shows what a company guy he is since it was posted on Tout rather than Youtube. Good to hear him again and other than all the wires sticking out of him he looks quite good.

This is one situation where Tout actually comes in pretty useful. Allows King to make a short video, which shows that he's in a relatively good condition.
