Everyone has their specific tastes...I think a Beautiful Mind is a great movie, but I know a lot of people that can't bear to sit and watch a movie that long, especially when it is all dialogue, no action.

A Beautiful Mind was pretty good for what it was. I think one factor in determining great films is how long they feel vs. how long they actually are. For example, The Godfather is a three hour movie that feels like two, while Scarface is a three hour movie that feels like five. The longer it feels, the worse it gets. Just my thoughts on the matter.

Good point, I never looked at it that way. It makes perfect sense, because when I feel a movie is dragging I tend to find other things to occupy my time and I become uninterested.

Though at the same time its important to remember that there is a certain type of film that exists solely so you can do other stuff while they're on and not miss anything. I feel this way about every Adam Sandler film except Punch Drunk Love.

As I am sitting here watching Rio with my daughter, I feel this should be added to the list. It was a pretty good movie albeit predictable. I think it had the greatness of any Disney movie with some funny comedy mixed in.

Off the top of my head, Super 8 & Rise of the Planet of the Apes, although I'm probably forgetting something really obvious.

Yes, you're forgetting The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1. How you could forget that one is beyond me.

Haven't seen it yet, for some bizarre reason.

A fun throwback to Speilberg's early films. Bad Robot can do no wrong.

Let's be honest, robots are simply awesome so anything with them is automatically good. I'm pretty sure that's how it works, right? I mean the movie Robots was pretty sweet. Speaking of animated films, I still haven't seen Rango but want to, someone must've seen it around here! Good?

I kind of disliked Super 8 a good amount.

I think my expectations were really high and that movie did not meet them at all. I left feeling disappointed. Oh well. Can't wait for Cloverfield 2 in like 5 years.
