Like Jason, Frankenstein's Monster and Michael Myers, Freddy is an icon for horror, but he's also someone who hasn't given up his lack of sympathy as the series went on. Like Chucky, he was a sick human being before his death and now dying has somehow made him even more messed up. Helena's the easy runner up over Pinhead though.

Jumping in late here, but it's Freddy. His character brought in a new wave of slasher films as the genre was dying in the mid 80's.

to agree with the majority and it's not surprising in the slightest, it has to be Freddy. I love his joking style as he's ready to kill you but him being reborn in New Nightmare shows he can also play the simple scary as hell villain too and you shouldn't be fooled by his jokes.

As much as I love Pinhead and Markos, I do believe that Freddy is to powerful for both of them to overcome this time.

Helena Markos has been my favourite underdog in this entire tournament but its time for me to vote against her here. There's just no beating Freddy and I still feel that he may just have this thing in the bag.
