Backstage Update on Sin Cara's WWE Status

At least one WWE source believes Sin Cara is done with the company but that hasn't been confirmed yet. The decision was made at RAW on Monday to move forward with Hunico under the mask.

There has been unhappiness internally since Cara debuted with the feeling that he underachieved upon arrival, got hurt too often and sometimes carried himself backstage as if he was a bigger star than he actually was. Because Cara was the first signing under Triple H, there has been pressure for him to break-through as a top star.

Not gonna lie, I thought it was the normal Sin Cara under the mask last night and figured he just got some new ink. They may aswell just move forward with Hunico seen as though he can't get a look in on the main roster and has substituted nicely as Sin Cara whenever he's been needed to fill the duty. I believe he also speaks decent English so that will give the character another platform to move forward with and help to get over.

I say let Hunico keep it, kharma and just desserts you know. Hunico was the first Mistico and had his gimmick stolen by the other guy. So its all fitting that Hunico takes the Sin Cara gimmick on to make the big money selling merch, for a mania match vs Rey, and maybe even headlining the rumored CW show. Hunico is getting what he deserves now, and unlike Mistico 2, Hunico paid all his dues and did everything right in developmental like learning English and how to work a wwe style.

Camacho should just be given a new partner to keep up the thug tag gimmick. He's a relatively big guy that can move, so someone like a JTG helping him along wouldn't hurt either guy.

Would love if WWE creative just mocked the shit out of the Sin Cara character, He was WWE's version of JT Smith, all he needed was a "You fucked up" chant every match.

I totally didn't notice, nor did I care. Hunico has outclassed Sin Cara every chance he could, he deserves this.

Haven't seen Raw yet so I don't know what the deal is there, I do know from the past that Hunico is better and everything. But does this mean Hunico is now doing double duty? If so I'd prefer they just drop one of the personas completely to focus on the other, in which case hopefully Sin Cara disappears.

I know internally people want him to succeed and so much hype has gone into him that dropping him now would feel like a big waste. Basically I prefer the roguish appeal of Hunico's character, his ability to speak and Camacho's presence makes him a more flexible act.

When has anyone other than Hunico worn the Sin Cara uniform? And that was when Cara was suspended before they did the Cara vs NEGRO Cara angle.
