Yeah, our soldiers were officially removed from their duty of raping and killing innocent villagers.
I'm gonna get heat for this, but its kinda hard to tell the difference between innocent villagers and the enemy when an innocent villager slits your commanders throat over night after pretending he needed medical attention (true story from my father when he was still alive).
We left Vietnam, and things went to hell, and Vietnam is still considered one of the most dangerous places to be in. The country didn't fix its own problem after we left, it fell apart into chaos.
My point is, their is already huge amount of animosity now between us and the middle east. Leaving Iraq is not going to fix that animosity. If anything its just gonna allow the insurgency to take over Iraq in a bloody civil war and the rest of the middle east to try and rise up against the West and cause a big ass World War 3. We either finish the job in Iraq and show that Democracy can work outside of the states, or we send a message to the rest of the terrorists that their "Jihad" will not be tolerated any longer and blow the crap out of the damn place.
Innocents will die, but like i said, how do we even know they are innocents? They could be part of the insurgency just like how that Vietnamese villager was actually apart of the Viet Cong. Think about it.
