I do struggle to see where they go with McIntyre after this. Del Rio has shown how you get heat from the fans... and shows that WWE still know how to build someone well if they can be bothered. Poor McIntyre failed/has been failed across the board.

Agreed. McIntyre has ZERO depth to his character. He doesn't even have a character. He looks like he's about 16 years old and just doesn't convince me that he's as bad as he's made out to be. I think in wrestling a certain "look" is needed for fans to buy a character. When you look like a kid selling tickets for a summer job to vacationers at Disney World's Pirates of the Caribbean ride, it's just not going to work that we're going to buy you as a badass heel. Del Rio is the embodiment of a heel. He's so cocky and into his own character, that he sells it completely.

Because whether or not a person or group of people makes a noise is a subjective matter, right?

Dear lord.

Edit - Did I just make this post or not? Possibly not. I guess that's down to your opinion, eh?

Sometimes people appear better at the beginning than they eventually turn out to be is what i was saying. Truth was awesome at the beginning but now hes well.... yeah....

^McIntyre was good at the beginning, coming out of the crowd, attacking Truth, crashing the 10th anniversary SD celebration, even beating Truth in his PPV debut. After that, he won the IC title, after losing it, he went down hill.

What? If Truth is well... yeah? If he's so bad, how is it good that McIntyre attacked him and beat him in his ppv debut?

He didn't get a reaction through that whole time. He didn't go down hill after losing the title. He had failed all along.

FINALLY!! Someone agrees with me.

I wasn't saying Truth is bad, im just saying he gets a little repetitive in both his moves and entrance. He's a mid-card wrestler who ONCE HAD main event potential, but he's a little to old now i'd say. The peak of his career was winning the NWA title in TNA.

You are speaking in terms of smarky IWC wrestling fans. For the casual target audience (kids mainly) Truth is perfect where he is at, no reason to change it. The main event scene is more than good enough, without Truth (who btw never... And I mean NEVER had main event potential in the WWE)

Hahaha, I'm so glad I wasn't the only one that caught this. I was gonna post on it a few weeks back but I forgot. And that is how even more blatantly apparent it is how bad the gay Swashbuckler is with the recent addition and debut of Del Rio. THAT is how a good, new heel gets over, it highlights even more so of a failure that McIntyre is when he was completely overshadowed and bypassed by this newcomer. Gates pretty much summed up the rest. Time for a release.

Also, the only bad thing I see with Del Rio is how he's going to ever play a face. Honestly can't see how he'd be bought as a face when he has an annoying accent and looks like a douche. But other than that, he'll make a good heel regardless.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to point out that R-Truth is a jive ass smurf who can't rap nor wrestle.

^Truth has so much more talent then WWE are using. When was the last time he actually won a match? He was eliminated at SS, lost a tag match with JoMo to Nexus, and who did he lose to on RAW a few weeks ago? The last match I can remember him winning was his US Title match back before Fatal 4 Way..

WWE is known for having guys go on LONG losing streaks...change their mind, and go on a big win streak... Most Recently Jack Swagger....ECW he was unstoppable.....Raw basically a jobber...wins MITB goes to SD and is the champ.

R - Truth is a great mid carder, but i can't see him moving up to main event. I think he has the talent/goods, but probably not going to happen.

Alberto Del Rio..... As someone mentioned depth to their character...this guy has it. Part of the credit goes ot creative. I like how he only wants to fight Christian on his terms...reminds me a bit of Scarface or Carlito's Way, meets Eddie Guerrero. Good Stuff.
