DTA is a real thing. I don’t care how trustworthy Moxley is, you don’t keep your belt on a guy that’s no longer under contract. It’s really that simple and I can’t understand why anyone is defending Tony’s actions there. As much as I love Tony for his completely awkward behaviour (the guy can’t even drink water without it being funny) he’s in way over his head with the running of the business and should really hire people that know what they’re doing. Those people should also not be sycophants that line up to praise him every chance they get on Twitter, or anywhere else for that matter.
I deal with multi-millionaire trust fund goofs like him on a near daily basis, and they’re all the same. It’s both hilarious and sad at the same time.
Again, nothing against the guy himself, because he seems like an alright dude, but the businessman sucks and he’s a detriment to the long term growth potential of his company.

I really do wonder how that match will go and if this is finally gonna be the Okada heel turn I've been craving
id say he definitely at least a bit of a dick (Okada) but still teetering on overly cocky face and not full on heel. def big timing mofos for sureThis acts like AEW hasn't grown under him. It has. I also think he shouldn't trust anyone in this situation too but acting like one bad decision means everything he does is massive hyperbold.
isn't he sort of a heel now?
This is about time start a million extra conversations as all paragraph posts do so I don't want it to get lost that the only thing I took issue with was saying the decision to keep the belt on Moxley resulted in business declining for the generic reason of "don't have your belt on an unsigned talent" which duh everyone should agree with but I'm clearly saying this was a unique situation and I don't understand how this specific one when looking at all the facts could be criticized. I even brought up another example that I did believe was a fuck up and to show how the situations were different
That's why I didn't quote tweet you btw cause I agree with your take.
We're not on Twitter ya fuckin' jobber
went from just having ppvs - to having a weekly show - to having two weekly show - to adding a 5th cross over ppv that did over a million gate - to now adding a 3rd show soon - after adding All Access - another property
on the talent side : pretty fucking obvious they have grown - and bought a whole ass other company.
they literally went from tv shirt company to 2nd biggest promotion in the world that keeps getting new products on tv. how have they NOT grown is a better question.
With all due respect, if all you are looking at is tv ratings and making assumptions, you are not exactly arguing in good faith anymore.
how could I prove anything about the earning of a private company ? I just showed you reasons for growth on why they are likely doing well. I have just as much information as you regarding profits. Which is why it's stupid to worry or speculate about it unless you have any sort of data to back up your point. Which you have admitted yourself you don't know.Growth implies financial growth. Again, prove to me that they’re making more (or any) money and I’ll gladly defer to it. Unfortunately, you can’t, and neither can Tony or he’d be blasting it all over Twitter about 10 times a day, or 30 if Bolivia made a delivery that morning.
Also, I literally said I wasn’t using television ratings as a metric. You can’t just use the “bad faith” argument whenever someone asks real questions instead of just blowing smoke up Tony’s ass.
