Thought it was a long term angle leading to heel Punk, meanwhile Tony was booking desperate attempts to keep him babyface in his hometown two weeks before the PPV lmao

I'd say Punk hijacking that promo to call out Hangman is still the dumbest part of this to me lol it just made the company look so fucking bad that someone would do that

Yeah it was fucking stupid of him to do this and he should know better.

Yes but the difference is mox danielson n jericho dont get mad if ppl dont want their advice n act negatively on it. Also we have no idea how punk us approaching ppl. Hes known to be rude as u said

Punk took it the most personal, but it’s definitely not just him. Jericho, Regal and Billy Gunn all off the top of my head have said stuff about the kids not listening to them.

And I heard rumors Danielson didn’t like it, either.

That’s not direct from his mouth, though.

Learning, sure. But not taking advice? I don’t vibe with it.

Especially with wrestling. They’ve grumpy about tradition.
I mean screams of ego n boomer energy to me. Why cant he just let ppl b, dude paved his own way his whole career. Why cant others wanna ride solo

Just because someone gives advice doesn't mean you need to follow it. Like to quote the Bucks, they became successful when they ignored veterans. You don't innovate if you only follow the past. I've had "veterans" at the casino give me advice which is terrible (obviously different than punk who is talented). Should I follow it because they are veterans? Also wrestling needs to stop caring so much about traditions but that's a whole other subject.

I'd say find the interview because Page didn't come off as remotely disrespectful to Punk or Sting in it, just said how he learns and prefers to learn. Also Regal said on his podcast best: Why waste time of people who don't want your advice. Give it to the people who want it.

Tbh. I wish Hangman was the type to go out there just to see what would’ve went down, but that also could’ve been horrible and went south fast. So it’s probably good he didn’t.

Did any of them randomly bury the superstars in question tho? Also Regal was very chill about it compared to Punk. Tone of voice is a very key thing in these interviews and podcasts

Oh for sure wrestling is pure ego but I think it makes sense that there are these people that were here and they’ve done it all and you can you just listen to them a little bit as they can just sit there and go OK OK OK and I just do my own thing anyway you know what I mean.

Surely if he tried someone would have stopped him before he actually made it on screen lol

No. I’m having two conversations about this.

I’m just saying the advice thing makes sense and it’s not just Punk that feels that way. He just handled it poorer.

Again tho just leave ppl b . Surely u see how hes doing the same shit he bitched about ppl doimg to him? As in, let ppl get over how they got over originally n dont force ur advice on ppl. Like i dont wanna b rude but does he think so highly of himself hes unhappy if ppl are not lining up for lessons?
