Depending on who’s trying to walk if I was Tony I might call their bluffs. It’s all about risk analysis. The benefit of having the final two years CM punks career versus honestly a pretty large roster I’ll probably survive a couple younger guys leaving but this is where my bias is absolutely shining through and honestly I think Tony is.

Also depends which young talent. There is also and this might be unfair, what shape is Punk's body in? Another injury shortly after coming back and a long term one too.

I honestly think the advice thing is actually pretty right on because it does sound pretty conceded if you’re a young guy and you don’t wanna take any advice from the veterans but it sounds to me like that’s changed because the three biggest veterans and the lock room just had a meeting and people said it was positive so that’s good.

I mean you could counter that MJF and Eddie said very similar things to Punk so it makes no sense for him to be mad at Page solely for that. I feel his issue with Page is other stuff aka Page turning down his advice and Punk most likely reading a transcript of a Page interview . If it is that, Punk needs to accept not everyone accepts advice from you.

I think so as he got arrested again shortly after leaving MLW and it was pre-covid as he just feuded with Austin Aries before randomly losing his title Myron Reed
I mean it’s probably more that Eddie and MJF cleared their shit with him and Page didn’t hence the feeling of “going into business for himself”.

I'd say Punk hijacking that promo to call out Hangman is still the dumbest part of this to me lol it just made the company look so fucking bad that someone would do that

Ya i cant agree n imo its pure stats for me. U dont lose 3 guys in theirs 30s who are also all draws over a 43 year old off two major surgeries. Any sports team cuts punk here. I wouldnt even so kenny over punk. Young bucks or punk is the only equivalent thats fair imo. Adding kenny n possibly hangman punk would be insane imo

Yeah I agree depends on who is asking to leave but I also think if you called the bluff they might not go anyway and then if they still want to go then maybe you can reconsider after that and yeah his body is definitely breaking down which is why I think it’s only gonna be another year or two and then he’s gonna be done.

That said, a legit 8 months off might rejuvenate him. Nash had two back to back injuries due to not taking the proper time off and then had 10-12 more years working full time.

Oh for sure. It sounded lame too.

But I don’t think that’ll happen again.

Deflated everything, the crowd, the chat, lol your favorite Moxley had to come out and save it (and then Punk delivered like he does very well too)

If you watch the interview it doesn't remotely come off that way. Seems like he learns from experience better than listening to advice. And I'd counter with people learn in different ways which a former teacher like Hangman probs knows fairly well. Plus from what I heard per SRS, Page was told to be less stiff by Arn and listened to him. It could also be the way Punk is saying it to him cause Punk isn't exactly the most welcoming person sometimes

Learning, sure. But not taking advice? I don’t vibe with it.

Especially with wrestling. They’ve grumpy about tradition.

Yes but the difference is mox danielson n jericho dont get mad if ppl dont want their advice n act negatively on it. Also we have no idea how punk us approaching ppl. Hes known to be rude as u said
