1HW - One Hour Wrestling

[Hoss]

One Hour Wrestling is a promotion which calls Las Vegas home. It has been founded by Palmer Canon, (best known for his stint on WWE’s Smackdown programming as a network executive from 2005 to 2006). He pioneered One Hour Wrestling as a Las Vegas attraction that would feature wrestling in a short form. In his opinion, wrestling that lasts longer than an hour gets too meticulous. He believes you don’t need more than a hour to put on a great show, and it allows for more fast-paced action and less breaks. He carefully devised a roster out of the best he could get and the ending result was the following:

What happens when two boss playas who made their name in SoCal come head to head with two beasts from the far east? I couldn’t tell you because I am yet to see it, but after this match, I’ll let you know! Though mostly inactive for the past while, Arrogance collectively have revived their team tot take part in 1HW but will their coming out party be rained on two members of the lethal Real Hazard stable? We shall see!

Six-Man Rumble Madness
Icarus vs. Johnny Devine vs. Gran Akuma vs. Ruffy Silverstein vs. Cyber Kong vs. BxB Hulk

While there are three teams involved in this match, there are no holds barred. All will be legal when these six men clash in the ring, when it’s every man for himself. Alliances exist but at the end of the day, there can be but one winner in this single-elimination extreme rules battle royal. Pretty rocking start EC, I'm definitely intrigued by all three announced matches. Arrogance vs. Real Hazard is going to be a nice and rough affair while the six man sounds great on paper. It would be hard not to rule with those guys involved and I'm hoping BxB Hulk gets a real chance to shine. Oh and Singlet Wars FTW! That's a great concept and I can't see a clear cut winner there, though I know who I'd be rooting for if it was happening for real.

Known as Team F.I.S.T, the initially christened Friends In Similar Tights has been a constantly evolving monster since their first seeds were planted long ago around 2002. The original incarnation of F.I.S.T consisted of Gran Akuma and Icarus, who graduated from the same wrestling school and combined their talents to wreak havoc. Since then, both Johnny Gargano and Chuck Taylor have joined F.I.S.T while Akuma defected from the group at times. The constant in many embodiments of the group was Icarus, until a few months ago when Johnny G and Chucky T got drafted to an unsuccessful WAW, while both Akuma and Icarus immediately joined 1HW.

However, fate has brought all four men together. Upon the closing of WAW, 1HW owner and operator, the impeccable Palmer Canon, snatched up these two remarkable talents to slap them with the dastardly duo of Akuma and Icarus, bringing all four members of the F.I.S.T stable together for the first time ever! Now the four men, each with their own remarkable traits will have to gel inside the squared circle in order to oppose such formidable opponents as Team Canada, Real Hazard, and Arrogance.

1HW wrestlers were also asked to weigh in on their thoughts regarding the catatonic quartet.

Mike Quackenbush - “Friends In Similar Tights, huh? Are they dangerous? I trained half of them, of course they are! Gran Akuma is a certifiable striking specialist, with kicks and knees to boot, and believe you me, they hurt! As for Icarus… well, you know how guys like him are. Small stature, big attitude. Icarus is a mean kid and will take an opponent from all angles. I’ve known him for about 10 years, and I haven’t met a more sour kid in all my life!â€

SHINGO (translation provided by Hiroko Suzuki) - “I fought Johnny Gargano many times. He fights with no honor, no respect. What he lacks in skills, he makes up for in dirty, dishonorable tactics. His methods are dirty, and his attitude is filthy, but he has the ability to win matches. Unlike Real Hazard however, this team will stumble, and fall, and it will be because of the egos of men like Johnny Gargano.â€

Chris Bosh - “I haven’t been in the ring with these kids yet, but I’ve seen them firsthand. I’ve watched Akuma kick the life out of his opponents, and I’ve seen Chuck Taylor blow more than one dude’s head off with that Awful Waffle. It’s no laughing matter. There’s nothing to joke about when it comes to F.I.S.T… except for Icarus’ hairdo a couple of years ago. That was quite laughable. Quite laughable indeed.â€

Eddie Kingston - “Oh man. You talk about a tenacious little bastard, you’re talking about Chuck Taylor! He’s called Raccoon City’s Favorite Son, but he should be called Memorial Hospital’s Favorite Son, because I can’t count the number of jacks he’s put on the shelf with the Awful Waffle. I’ve received that move, and as soon as your head smacks that canvas, you’re seeing stars, son!â€

Now the fearsome faction promises punishment for all who inhabit 1HW. Is there a reason for men like Jack Swagger and Ken Patera to be on high alert? Should Tony Atlas and Team Canada be afraid? It’s hard to say when you’ve got so many combustable elements, but the truth is that Team F.I.S.T has a track record to back their claims. They’ve shown throughout the last decade that fear is a driving factor in ruling a promotion, and though all the members of Team F.I.S.T are scrawny by most wrestlers’ standards, the doggedness shown by each component of the group speaks for itself. When it comes to ruffians, these boys are the cream of the crop, and don’t think they won’t make it their mission to prove it. At the end of the day, the wrestling world is a crazy place, but one thing you can rely on is F.I.S.T always coming to raise hell each and every night.
