    Agreed. Except for a few years (the AE actually which I went back and watched), I have watched wrestling since I was ten years old. Even when it sucks, it will still be a part of my life just because it always has been. I couldn't imagine not watching it.

    Oh 1999. This was the first Royal Rumble since 1993 that I didn't watch live. I took a hiatus from wrestling for a few years due to the Attitude Era and ECW and WCW treating my favorite wrestler like garbage. So, the first time I saw this was years later. The match itself was a decent match...

    I guess that 98 Rumble was Austin trying out to be in the next Hellraiser movie... This was the last Rumble I watched live until I started watching wrestling again in 2003. I took a hiatus from it because I really didn't care for a lot of the things that were going on in both major promotions...

    There is nothing inherently wrong with either approach. I was simply suggesting alternatives, not that one was better than the other.

    Basically I am saying, there doesn't need to be a formula to follow all the time, just do what works best for that particular episode.

    Usual isn't always, which is why I suggested it like that. I am saying do one or the other based off what the stories are and which they feel is more or less important to address right away.,

    Or base whether you start off with a match or a promo on what storylines are occuring and if they feel fans will want a promo dealing with the story before a match. If the promo isn't that necessary, than go match.
