Cerbs you are being a blueberry. Blaze is on a legends deal. She is ona. Deal like Nash, Waltman, DDP, and the like all of who flip merch, toys, games, DVDs, and all with their likeness and are compensated for it

Austin was on an active roster deal. Austin said out of his own mouth Punk was going to learn first hand about these lil gimmicks that come in the mail every month called bills because the money doesn't come when "you take your ball and go home"

Warrior sued them and it was ruled wwe didnt have to pay him by the courts while he say out his active contract.

Kurt has said in a shoot he gave up all his royalty rights to be released years ago when he went to TNA.

Stop being silly, whether you fn think she is a legend or not, doesn't matter, she is a legend because she is on a Legends deal and they get compensated for that. Punk is an active wrestler on an active wrestlers contract and he walked out on them while still contracted like Austin and like Austin he was a merch King, like Austin they will flip his merch and aren't obligated to give him a dime.

" A legends contract is a sort of special contract between a wrestler who is either a hall of famer, someone who most likely will be, or a retired but still - or once was - very popular wrestler. They are then, instead of being called a wrestler, or superstar, are titled Legends.

Under a legends contract, these "Legends" can make recurring appearances on WWE programming and have new merchandise created in their likeness. Which included a book made in 2006 titled:WWE Legends, which has profile of all Legends.

The type of contract was created in 2005 after Raws homecoming. "

It's not freaking rocket science Cerbs to know they are two different types of deals

Regardless of all that, if WWE is making a play to get Punk back then i'd hedge my bets that they'd be paying him all this money.

For what it is worth, WWE released new gear at the stands at Mania XXX, but didn't put ALL of the stuff they had printed up out, so obviously holding out hope for the future. WWE is still paying Punk royalties for his merchandise, and he's still second in the company in sales behind Cena.

Yeah I read about that pretty interesting that he is still making money from that and still doing that good in sales despite not being around.

I think that's why Vince refuses to punish him for his exit (also, it wouldn't look good of Vince to punish Punk for something he's burying the hatchet with a lot of past stars for). It's also proof-positive to Vince that a guy can sell when he isn't around... it also makes it look like Vince panics about Cena STRICTLY for ratings.

The Independent

After CM Punk quit the WWE in January there has been no shortage of rumours and predictions of a return for the wrestler in 2014, with a purported leaked Monday Night Raw script suggesting he hasn't severed ties with the company just yet.

CM Punk is listed as 'INJ' (injured) on the talent roster sheet, presumably the kayfabe reason for his absence at weekly shows, events and PPVs the past couple of months, while the qualifying 'TBD' perhaps alludes to negotiations still taking place with the star.

So what can we really glean from this? Well, not a huge amount.

Punk is under contract with the WWE until June so it makes sense for him to still appear on the roster, or he could still be being named as a precaution in case scripts leak as they apparently did in this case.

roster2.jpg

Whatever the case, one Redditor summed up the situation pretty accurately: "It would take a lot more letters than INJ to describe what's up with CM Punk."

The wrestler was in the crowd for the latest batch of Hall of Fame inductions in New Orleans earlier this month, but during anappearance on AMC show Talking Dead chose to go under his real name of Phil Brooks.

Commenting on the situation, Punk's former 'manager' Paul Heyman recently said: "I talk to him all the time. I don’t really talk to him about the industry all that much because it’s obviously a sore spot with him.

"I think when you talk about CM Punk/Phil Brooks, there were three people in the room the night that he quit: Vince McMahon, Triple H, and CM Punk. I don’t know what went on in that room. I know certain perspectives, but none of those three have talked in public about it. If one, two, or three of them decide to go public, then we’ll get a perspective on what happened that day. Until one of the three of them speak about it, it’s only rumor and speculation and gossip. How’s he doing? He’s fine. Does he miss the business? I don’t think so."

Interesting not much new in this

So basically "We'll sell his shit, because a few guys want to take the piss out of us"

LOL still only making them money.

He's been gone since January, and honestly, nothings missing with his absence. Aside from some chants that died down and morphed into an arbitrary chant that has nothing to do with him anymore, there isn't this big gap like When Flair left WCW, or Raven left ECW.

Agreed with Deezy really, it's not meant as an insult to the guy but he's just not missed at all.

Because Evolution and Kane being against Bryan and the Shield means that's change? Also, Phil Brooks didn't give a fuck about change, only change he wanted was to be a maineventer tbh. Why else run off when he wasn't going to mainevent Mania?

You know that's the reason he left? Forreal? I'm sure it contributed... but the only reason? C'mon bro. He said himself for months that he was sick of how they kept dodging Daniel Bryan. He also voiced his displeasure with WWE not telling anyone how they planned on paying the superstars for the PPV events now that they had the Network.

Everything about this is mere speculation......Forreal. Notice I used a question mark to finish my sentence? Obviously stating that as opinion and not fact....Learn the difference and I don't care about someone who isn't being missed at the moment. Hasn't been all that great when he was around and quite frankly had his best years when no one cared.
