If that is indeed what he decides to do, then I can't say I blame him.

The guy has played a full career, just surprised he didn't win more than 1 x Super Bowl.

It's not like he would have played for a good team anyways if the Colts didn't bring him back next season.

Was looking like if he did get released the team who was gonna be first in line after him would be the cards. I think that would have been a great move believe it or not because that team has the running back in Wells got the WR in Fitz who would be imo the most skilled WR he's ever played with and got other solid 2nd and 3rd options at WR that he could make look great. Would basically be like the Colts with a better defense so that would have probably worked out well for him but if the neck issue he has is the same as his older brother then yeah he's done for sure which is very very sad.

He could always just pull a Brett Favre and FAKE retirement just so the Colts don't trade him to a team he doesn't want to go to. So he can pick a stronger team per say.

It all depends on how well he can be protected, which I'm sure will be the first thing on his mind. If he does play, he's not going to go somewhere where QB's have been getting killed lately.

Don't know if that would work since he's still under contract with them even after he is retired. Was the reason Brett had to be traded to to the Jets rather than go to the team he wanted at the time in the Vikings. So if Peyton came out they still retain his rights and can trade him.

Shit think it's like 3-4 more years it's basically the same deal as Brady just more cap friendly. The contract he signed was just last year while they thought he'd still play.

lmao, yeah okay, then he's a Colt for life.

I really can't see them trading him to a team with a good O line, because the Colts will want draft picks for sure, and no team with a great O line has high draft picks.

Yeah that basically was what they wanted for the deal to be the last one for Peyton and for him to end his career there. Isn't exactly looking like it's gonna work out like that. I still think the Cardinals would be his best spot or maybe just maybe Dallas since they have an owner who has no problem spending money to get Peyton whatever he needed and they should have decent draft picks I think? I just would hope and pray if I was him to not get traded to the Skins.

I'm not certain what our pick is, but I'm guessing it's in the mid teens.

A year ago I would have said there was no way in hell Jerry would spend a lot on Peyton because of how in love he was with Romo, but lately Jerry's fallen in love with Peyton's brother, so I wouldn't rule it out of the question.

I would have mixed feelings about it personally, heh.

Peyton made slot WR's look like they could be starters so it's scary to imagine what he could do with a Miles Austin, Jason Witten and Dez Bryant if he was healthy. Only thing is I don't know if I see them just dumping Romo that easily to make it work but I think they should try and sell teams on Romo while there is still hope for him.

Frankly, trading Romo wouldn't bother me at this point just as long as we had an alternative... which we don't. :/

It's become pretty clear that Romo just doesn't have the clutch ability to perform at a high level in the playoffs. He panics WAY too easily and that's a big deal for me.

Its funny though, because barring Peyton's SB-winning season, his playoff record isn't amazing either. I would still trust him more than Romo though.

If Peyton can get cleared and played at close to the same level he was at any team that needs a QB would be stupid to not pick him up. Sadly I think he's done though, neck injuries are nothing to mess around with and all reports make it seem like he's not any better than before the initial surgery. No sense in coming back and getting hurt and risking his standard of life post football.
