Where we're at, coming out of Bound For Glory
-For the first half of 2009, the Main Event Mafia did a good job in dominating the company. Sting held onto the belt using the rest of the Mafia to back him up.
-Christian Cage came back at Slammiversary and won the TNA Championship from Sting. He survived his reign by taking advantage of the Mafia/Frontline heat, refusing to take either side.
-When Sting lost the belt, he found himself on a big losing streak. As a result, the Mafia turned on him and named Kurt Angle their de facto leader. The Mafia explained that their "real leader" made the call, and they're just following it. Sting called BS on their claims, but whatever. He hasn't been seen since he lost to Christian last month.
-Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle have specifically targeted each other over the past few months while going after the belt.
-Styles spent the entire year fighting against the Frontline, and it finally paid off when he earned the spot against Christian at BFG, and he won the title.
-The tag team division has been very consistent. AMW reunited and won the straps. Lethal and Creed (the 2 Crazy Negroes) have been on a losing streak recently. Los Infernales debuted earlier this year, and recently got a high-profile win over The Axis Powers (a stable of German Patrick Schulz, Japanese Kiyoshi, Russian Alex Koslov, and Italian Brutus Magnus). Booker T and Scott Steiner tried their luck in the tag team division, and they both held the belts for a while and retired Team 3D. Petey Williams and Eric Young reformed Team Canada, but they've recently dipped back into singles. MCMG have been going after the belts for a while now, and it finally paid off at BFG when their three-year-long journey became successful.
-Speaking of MCMG, they kind of took fellow Michiganian Jimmy Jacobs under their wing. When Robert Roode returned to help AMW retain against MCMG, Jacobs proved to be a helpful ally. After Roode took out Jacobs with a steel chair, Jacobs eventually returned and challenged Roode at BFG. On another note, Robert Roode has recently begun to loosely align himself with the Main Event Mafia.
-Chris Daniels became high-and-mighty when he saw Alex Shelley displaying a cocky attitude, and he said he was tarnishing the X-Division. He won the belt, but then lost it to Japanese Ace Hiroshi Tanahashi. Over in Japan, Homicide beat Tanahashi. He brought the title back to TNA (and subsequently returned), and he, Daniels, Low Ki, and a debuting Mafia member, Sean Waltman feuded over it. Low Ki finally won it by beating Daniels at BFG.
-Jimmy Rave and Frankie Kazarian teamed up in a weird, quasi-emo tag team, and Raven returned to be their counselor. They targeted Abyss, so Abyss brought in Sabu to help even the odds. Matt Morgan also returned to help Abyss, and they ended up kicking Sabu to the curb. With nobody to help Sabu, ROB VAN DAM~ came in, and the feud grew even further. Rave also started to doubt Raven after he didn't accomplish much, and he brought back Lance Rock. That set up the big RVD/Sabu vs Abyss/Morgan vs Rock/Rave vs Kaz/Raven match last month, and the Monster's Ball at BFG.

A video package played, going over every thing that happened at Bound For Glory.
Match 1: Christopher Daniels vs Jimmy Jacobs
Daniels was really pissed here, so Jacobs took advantage of that by making him over-commit, and then striking with various kicks and chops. Daniels went to the eyes and then just tackled Jacobs to the mat and started laying into him with mounted punches, but the ref pulled him off. He turned back and Jacobs exploded with an arched big boot! He went up top, but Daniels crotched him and then hit a big superplex! ONE! TWO! THRE – Jacobs kicked out! Daniels went after Jacobs’ neck like crazy, exaggerating the work that Roode did to it on Sunday. Jacobs came back with a Spear off the ropes out of nowhere! ONE! TWO! THR – Daniels kicked out! He tried for the Michigan Code, but Daniels shoved him off and hit the Blue Thunder Driver! ONE! TWO! THRE – Jacobs kicked out! Daniels picked him up and tried the Last Rites, but Jacobs spun out and hit a Flip DDT! He went up top, and he nailed the Senton! ONE! TWO! THREE! HOLY WOW!

Jimmy Jacobs celebrated in the ring after having just pinned the 5-time X-Division Champin, and the Michigan crowd was HOT! Daniels got up and couldn’t believe it. Skipper came down to console him, but Daniels shoved him off and went to the back alone.
Commentary went over everything in store, including Styles/Cage vs Nash/Waltman, a MCMG/AMW rematch, and what everybody’s wanted for years…Kurt Angle gets fired!

Christian Cage found NEW TNA Champion AJ Styles backstage and congratulated him again on his win at BFG. He said that he looks forward to tagging tonight, but that he would probably work a lighter schedule from here on out.
Match 2: Los Infernales vs Kiyoshi/Alex Koslov
Magnus and Schulz have apparently been banned from ringside, so yeah. This was a nice little sprint, and Los Infernales looked really good. They showcased their offense the whole time, and the Powers at it pretty well. They isolated Mephisto after Koslov knocked him off the top rope while not the legal man. They went for a Doomsday crossbody, but Mephisto grabbed a Victory Roll on Kiyoshi, making Koslov completely miss! ONE! TWO! THRE – Kiyoshi kicked out! Mephisto made the hot tag, and Averno cleaned house. Koslov attacked him from behind, but Mephisto sent him out of the ring with a springboard dropkick! Los Infernales turned to Kiyoshi and set him on the top rope, AND THEY HIT THE SPANISH FLY! ONE! TWO! THREE!

Mick Foley announced from his office that there will be a fatal fourway X-Division title match at Turning Point. Obviously Low Ki will be in it, and Homicide has qualified coming out of his big win at Bound For Glory. Two qualifying matches will determine the last two participants.

NEW Knockouts Champion Daisy Haze was backstage and told all the TNA fans to tune into Xplosion on Saturday nights from now on to see your favorite TNA Knockouts!
Tenay announced that over the next two weeks, we would see Doug Williams vs Volador and Sean Waltman vs Petey Williams in the two qualifying matches for the X-Division title match.
Match 3: Low Ki/Homicide vs 2 Crazy Negroes
Low Ki and Homicide were pretty brutal, but the Negroes were much fresher so they were able to speed up the match. Ki slowed it down by delivering some stiff strikes, but Jay Lethal surprised him with a handspring back elbow! ONE! TWO! TH – Low Ki kicked out. Lethal stayed on him, and Creed got involved as well, and they targeted Ki’s leg some. Ki fought back with some knife-edge chops, but Creed kicked at his leg and then hit the Creed-DT! ONE! TWO! THR – Low Ki got a foot on the ropes! Creed tagged in Lethal who went for the Lethal Elbow, but Ki moved and tagged in Homicide! He immediately hit Lethal with the Brooklyn Lariat, and then knocked Creed off the apron! He turned back to Lethal and went for a powerbomb, but Lethal rolled through and grabbed a sunset flip! ONE! TWO! THR – Homicide kicked out! They both got up and Lethal went for the Lethal Combination, but Homicide spun out and hit the 187! ONE! TWO! THRE – Creed broke it up! Low Ki ran over and hit a high-impact dropkick that sent Creed flying out of the ring! Homicide picked up Lethal and he and Low Ki hit the Gringo Killer/Ghetto Stomp combination!!! ONE! TWO! THREE!!

Homicide grabbed the title belt from ringside and looked at it for a while before handing it to Low Ki. They celebrated to the back and 2CN looked pretty upset inside the ring.
Frankie Kazarian found Jimmy Rave backstage and said that he’s absolutely done with following Raven, since nothing got done at Monster’s Ball. Rave welcomed him with a hug.
The Motor City Machineguns were backstage, and they said that their three-year-long dream finally came true when they won the TNA tag team titles at Bound For Glory. They welcomed AMW’s rematch, and guaranteed a win tonight, and the most epic title reign to follow.

Raven was backstage and made a formal call-out to the Enlightened, begging for them both to return to him.
Rob Van Dam was backstage with Lauren, and he said that, after winning Monster’s Ball, he was looking to the TNA Championship. Just then, Robert Roode walked by and told Lauren that a TNA Champion needs to be more than just a pothead; he needs to be respectable, like Robert Roode.
Match 4: Motor City Machineguns[c] vs America’s Most Wanted [Tag Team Championships]
SPRIIIINNNNTTTT at the start, and AMW tried their best to keep up so as not to let MCMG gain momentum like at BFG. They did well for a while, and Harris even hit a dropkick to Sabin! He picked him up for a powerbomb, but Sabin hurricanranaed him to the outside! He ran off the ropes and took him out with a no-handed suicide dive!! They fought on the outside, but Storm came over AND HIT THE JAMES STORM PLANCHA!!! Shelley ran across the ring and took everybody out with a corkscrew plancha!!

Things settled down when both teams get some good quick tags in, and it became pretty back-and-forth. There was more of the idea that Sabin and Shelley both held their own against their opponents individually, but AMW used their teamwork and cheating to gain and edge. MCMG got a good stretch of double-team moves, and tried the Click Click Boom on Storm, but he powered out of the powerbomb by Sabin and nailed him with a lariat. He ran over and dumped Shelley off the top to the outside and then measured up and nailed Sabin with a superkick! ONE! TWO! THRE – Sabin kicked out! He tried the Eye of the Storm, but Sabin countered into a Tornado DDT! He went for the tag, but Shelley was still down! He turned around and Storm tried another kick, but Sabin ducked it and came off the ropes with a crossbody! ONE! TWO! THR – Storm kicked out! Sabin went for the Cradle Shock, but Storm shoved him away and Harris elbowed him from outside, and then Storm hit his high knee! ONE! TWO! THR – Sabin kicked out! He made the tag and they both stomped at him. They went for a double suplex, but Sabin floated over. He ran off the ropes and tried a crossbody to them both, but they caught him and Storm turned it into a Bear Hug! Harris went up top, DEATH SENTENCE!! ONE! TWO! THRE – SHELLEY BROKE IT UP! Storm tried to tackle him out of the ring, but Shelley dumped him to the outside. Storm turned around right into a superkick from Shelley, which knocked him into one from Sabin! They went up top and hit the Frog Splash/Leg Drop combination! ONE! TWO! THRE – STORM BROKE IT UP!!! He nailed a powerbomb on Shelley, and then went for a lariat on Sabin, but Sabin ducked and tossed him out of the ring! Harris tried a suplex, but Sabin floated over and hit a reverse DDT! He told Shelley to take out Storm, so Shelley ran out with a suicide dive! Sabin turned around and tried the Cradle Shock, but Harris powered out and dropped him with a DDT! The ref was busy with Storm and Shelley on the outside, SO HE GRABBED A BOTTLE AGAIN! He wait for Sabin to get up, and then HE SMASHED IT OVER SABIN’S HEAD!!! Sabin was busted completely open, and then Harris picked him up and hit the Catatonic! ONE! PLEASE, NO! TWO! NOT THIS WAY! THREE!!!!

The fans started throwing garbage into the ring, so Chuck Taylor ran out to clean up some of it. AMW rushed to the outside to grab the belts, and then ran up the ramp, past the furious audience members. Meanwhile, Alex Shelley slowly came to his sense on the outside and realized what had happened. He crawled into the ring and looked at Sabin, forehead gashed, lying on the mat, and couldn’t believe it. He put his head down and returned to the back without his tag team partner.

Lauren caught Alex Shelley leaving the arena and asked for his thoughts, but he ignored her.
Commentary talked about the shocking loss that MCMG just faced, and how their three-year-long dream just ended after only four days. Tenay said that Sabin has already talked to Mick Foley, and the Guns will be using their rematch clause next week on iMPACT.
They shifted gears to talk about how Booker T and Scott Steiner left the arena in the middle of Bound For Glory on Sunday absolutely furious, and they never gave a reason. Either way, it looks like the Main Event Mafia may be having some internal problems.
Match 5: AJ Styles/Christian Cage vs Kevin Nash/Sean Waltman
Styles and Cage worked together to bump around Waltman at the start, but Nash got involved from the outside to try to help out his little buddy. Cornette pointed out at that with Angle, Steiner, and Booker T gone, it’s really just these two to fend for themselves. There did seem to be that sense of frustration between the heels, and it allowed the faces to capitalize on some miscommunications. Styles ducked a big boot that connected with Waltman, and then Cage clotheslined Nash out of the ring. AJ climbed on top of Christian’s shoulders, and then leaped off and took out Nash and Waltman on the outside with a crossbody!

Christian unleashed his offense on Waltman, who bumped big. He went for a belly to back suplex, but Waltman floated over and hit a spin kick to the back of his head! He and Nash kept him down for a decent stretch, with Nash getting really cocky as he went on. Nash caught him off the ropes with a powerslam and then went for the Jackknife, but Christian punched his way out once he was in the air, and then he nailed a double knee facebuster! ONE! TWO! TH – Nash kicked out! They both crawled over, and both made the tag! Waltman ran with a clothesline, but Styles ducked and came back with a dropkick! Waltman stumbled up, right into a snap suplex! ONE! TWO! THRE – Waltman kicked out! Styles pulled him up and Styles tried a Brainbuster, but Waltman floated over, but Styles hit the Pele! Waltman tripped to his feet, and Styles hit the Rack Bomb! ONE! TWO! THRE – Nash broke it up! Christian ran over, and he Speared Nash! Styles baseball slid him to the outside, and then turned around right into a wheel kick! He picked Styles up and tried the Syxx Factor, but Styles pushed him away. When Waltman came bouncing back, Styles kicked him in the gut and hit the Styles Clash! ONE! TWO! THREE!

Christian Cage and AJ Styles celebrated in the ring, and then Cage went to the outside and grabbed the TNA Championship. He handed it to Styles and then held his arm up in triumph one last time.
Mick Foley was walking backstage and we got word that he is on his way to the ring to officially fire Kurt Angle! On his way, he ran into Jeff Jarrett, who said that he’s wanted this to happen for over a year. Foley smiled and said that Jarrett is welcome to be the one to do the firing, and said that he’ll be watching it from his office.

Jeff Jarrett came out to the iMPACT Zone and talked about how, for over a year, there’s been a cancer within TNA, and that cancer’s name is Kurt Angle. He called out Samoa Joe, who came out to a big pop. He personally thanked Joe for putting down Angle, and invited him to be in the ring for the big event, and he accepted.
Kurt Angle came out and said he’s going to face his fate like a man. He said that he’s put his life on hold for this company, and if this is how Jarrett wants to repay him, then that’s his prerogative. He was put into a stipulated match, and he lost. For that, he must be fired, and he’s accepted that.
Jarrett said that, at one point, Angle was a great talent in TNA, but that all went south. And now, things get to be back to how they were before Angle came again. Kurt Angle braced for it as Jeff Jarrett reared back … “Kurt Angle, YOU’RE FIRED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!â€
Angle lowered his head as the crowd went ballistic, and started singing “Na na na na! Hey hey hey! Goodbye!†Samoa Joe sang along with a huge grin on his face, and he and Jarrett slapped five, in Tenay-West fashion. Angle started to leave the ring, but Jarrett called him back and said there’s one more thing…
“Hey Angle, guess what … YOU’RE HIRED!!!!!!!!!!!â€
The whole crowd started mumbling at what the hell this meant, as Angle turned back into the ring with a huge grin on his face. JARRETT TURNED AND BASHED JOE OVER THE SKULL WITH THE MICROPHONE!!! Joe got cut open, and Jarrett continued beating away at him with the microphone!!! Angle joined in and began stomping away at Samoa Joe! Kevin Nash, Sean Waltman, and Robert Roode ran down and began stomping away at him too! AJ Styles and Mick Foley came down for the save, but they fell to the numbers game! Jeff Jarrett picked Foley up and hit him with the Stroke! Angle took Joe and nailed the Olympic Slam! Roode picked up Styles and hit the Payoff! Jarrett grabbed the microphone again and told Angle that, not only is he re-hired, but he’s also officially the number one contender.
And just like he promised, TNA is back to how it used to be: back in Jarrett’s hands.

Raven was backstage and made a formal call-out to the Enlightened, begging for them both to return to him.
Rob Van Dam was backstage with Lauren, and he said that, after winning Monster’s Ball, he was looking to the TNA Championship. Just then, Robert Roode walked by and told Lauren that a TNA Champion needs to be more than just a pothead; he needs to be respectable, like Robert Roode.
Match 4: Motor City Machineguns[c] vs America’s Most Wanted [Tag Team Championships]
SPRIIIINNNNTTTT at the start, and AMW tried their best to keep up so as not to let MCMG gain momentum like at BFG. They did well for a while, and Harris even hit a dropkick to Sabin! He picked him up for a powerbomb, but Sabin hurricanranaed him to the outside! He ran off the ropes and took him out with a no-handed suicide dive!! They fought on the outside, but Storm came over AND HIT THE JAMES STORM PLANCHA!!! Shelley ran across the ring and took everybody out with a corkscrew plancha!!

Things settled down when both teams get some good quick tags in, and it became pretty back-and-forth. There was more of the idea that Sabin and Shelley both held their own against their opponents individually, but AMW used their teamwork and cheating to gain and edge. MCMG got a good stretch of double-team moves, and tried the Click Click Boom on Storm, but he powered out of the powerbomb by Sabin and nailed him with a lariat. He ran over and dumped Shelley off the top to the outside and then measured up and nailed Sabin with a superkick! ONE! TWO! THRE – Sabin kicked out! He tried the Eye of the Storm, but Sabin countered into a Tornado DDT! He went for the tag, but Shelley was still down! He turned around and Storm tried another kick, but Sabin ducked it and came off the ropes with a crossbody! ONE! TWO! THR – Storm kicked out! Sabin went for the Cradle Shock, but Storm shoved him away and Harris elbowed him from outside, and then Storm hit his high knee! ONE! TWO! THR – Sabin kicked out! He made the tag and they both stomped at him. They went for a double suplex, but Sabin floated over. He ran off the ropes and tried a crossbody to them both, but they caught him and Storm turned it into a Bear Hug! Harris went up top, DEATH SENTENCE!! ONE! TWO! THRE – SHELLEY BROKE IT UP! Storm tried to tackle him out of the ring, but Shelley dumped him to the outside. Storm turned around right into a superkick from Shelley, which knocked him into one from Sabin! They went up top and hit the Frog Splash/Leg Drop combination! ONE! TWO! THRE – STORM BROKE IT UP!!! He nailed a powerbomb on Shelley, and then went for a lariat on Sabin, but Sabin ducked and tossed him out of the ring! Harris tried a suplex, but Sabin floated over and hit a reverse DDT! He told Shelley to take out Storm, so Shelley ran out with a suicide dive! Sabin turned around and tried the Cradle Shock, but Harris powered out and dropped him with a DDT! The ref was busy with Storm and Shelley on the outside, SO HE GRABBED A BOTTLE AGAIN! He wait for Sabin to get up, and then HE SMASHED IT OVER SABIN’S HEAD!!! Sabin was busted completely open, and then Harris picked him up and hit the Catatonic! ONE! PLEASE, NO! TWO! NOT THIS WAY! THREE!!!!

The fans started throwing garbage into the ring, so Chuck Taylor ran out to clean up some of it. AMW rushed to the outside to grab the belts, and then ran up the ramp, past the furious audience members. Meanwhile, Alex Shelley slowly came to his sense on the outside and realized what had happened. He crawled into the ring and looked at Sabin, forehead gashed, lying on the mat, and couldn’t believe it. He put his head down and returned to the back without his tag team partner.

Lauren caught Alex Shelley leaving the arena and asked for his thoughts, but he ignored her.
Commentary talked about the shocking loss that MCMG just faced, and how their three-year-long dream just ended after only four days. Tenay said that Sabin has already talked to Mick Foley, and the Guns will be using their rematch clause next week on iMPACT.
They shifted gears to talk about how Booker T and Scott Steiner left the arena in the middle of Bound For Glory on Sunday absolutely furious, and they never gave a reason. Either way, it looks like the Main Event Mafia may be having some internal problems.
Match 5: AJ Styles/Christian Cage vs Kevin Nash/Sean Waltman
Styles and Cage worked together to bump around Waltman at the start, but Nash got involved from the outside to try to help out his little buddy. Cornette pointed out at that with Angle, Steiner, and Booker T gone, it’s really just these two to fend for themselves. There did seem to be that sense of frustration between the heels, and it allowed the faces to capitalize on some miscommunications. Styles ducked a big boot that connected with Waltman, and then Cage clotheslined Nash out of the ring. AJ climbed on top of Christian’s shoulders, and then leaped off and took out Nash and Waltman on the outside with a crossbody!

Christian unleashed his offense on Waltman, who bumped big. He went for a belly to back suplex, but Waltman floated over and hit a spin kick to the back of his head! He and Nash kept him down for a decent stretch, with Nash getting really cocky as he went on. Nash caught him off the ropes with a powerslam and then went for the Jackknife, but Christian punched his way out once he was in the air, and then he nailed a double knee facebuster! ONE! TWO! TH – Nash kicked out! They both crawled over, and both made the tag! Waltman ran with a clothesline, but Styles ducked and came back with a dropkick! Waltman stumbled up, right into a snap suplex! ONE! TWO! THRE – Waltman kicked out! Styles pulled him up and Styles tried a Brainbuster, but Waltman floated over, but Styles hit the Pele! Waltman tripped to his feet, and Styles hit the Rack Bomb! ONE! TWO! THRE – Nash broke it up! Christian ran over, and he Speared Nash! Styles baseball slid him to the outside, and then turned around right into a wheel kick! He picked Styles up and tried the Syxx Factor, but Styles pushed him away. When Waltman came bouncing back, Styles kicked him in the gut and hit the Styles Clash! ONE! TWO! THREE!

Christian Cage and AJ Styles celebrated in the ring, and then Cage went to the outside and grabbed the TNA Championship. He handed it to Styles and then held his arm up in triumph one last time.
Mick Foley was walking backstage and we got word that he is on his way to the ring to officially fire Kurt Angle! On his way, he ran into Jeff Jarrett, who said that he’s wanted this to happen for over a year. Foley smiled and said that Jarrett is welcome to be the one to do the firing, and said that he’ll be watching it from his office.

Jeff Jarrett came out to the iMPACT Zone and talked about how, for over a year, there’s been a cancer within TNA, and that cancer’s name is Kurt Angle. He called out Samoa Joe, who came out to a big pop. He personally thanked Joe for putting down Angle, and invited him to be in the ring for the big event, and he accepted.
Kurt Angle came out and said he’s going to face his fate like a man. He said that he’s put his life on hold for this company, and if this is how Jarrett wants to repay him, then that’s his prerogative. He was put into a stipulated match, and he lost. For that, he must be fired, and he’s accepted that.
Jarrett said that, at one point, Angle was a great talent in TNA, but that all went south. And now, things get to be back to how they were before Angle came again. Kurt Angle braced for it as Jeff Jarrett reared back … “Kurt Angle, YOU’RE FIRED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!â€
Angle lowered his head as the crowd went ballistic, and started singing “Na na na na! Hey hey hey! Goodbye!†Samoa Joe sang along with a huge grin on his face, and he and Jarrett slapped five, in Tenay-West fashion. Angle started to leave the ring, but Jarrett called him back and said there’s one more thing…
“Hey Angle, guess what … YOU’RE HIRED!!!!!!!!!!!â€
The whole crowd started mumbling at what the hell this meant, as Angle turned back into the ring with a huge grin on his face. JARRETT TURNED AND BASHED JOE OVER THE SKULL WITH THE MICROPHONE!!! Joe got cut open, and Jarrett continued beating away at him with the microphone!!! Angle joined in and began stomping away at Samoa Joe! Kevin Nash, Sean Waltman, and Robert Roode ran down and began stomping away at him too! AJ Styles and Mick Foley came down for the save, but they fell to the numbers game! Jeff Jarrett picked Foley up and hit him with the Stroke! Angle took Joe and nailed the Olympic Slam! Roode picked up Styles and hit the Payoff! Jarrett grabbed the microphone again and told Angle that, not only is he re-hired, but he’s also officially the number one contender.
And just like he promised, TNA is back to how it used to be: back in Jarrett’s hands.
