TNA iMPACT: Please Tell Me this is a Joe-ke
iMPACT Zone
Orlando, Florida
November 26, 2009

Commentary welcomed us to the show and wished the audience a happy Thanksgiving. They then talked about last week’s program, especially the mysterious case of Samoa Joe being barred from the arena, and the vague implication that Jarrett made about the situation. They also ran down tonight’s card, including Low Ki/Homicide vs Doug Williams/Alex Koslov, Chris Daniels vs Raven, and AMW vs Burke/Richards

Match 1: Low Ki/Homicide vs Doug Williams/Alex Koslov
Ki and ‘Cide started off with a huge head of steam, bumping around both other guys. Williams managed to come off the ropes with a high knee that took Low Ki out, and then he and Koslov began double-teaming Homicide. They planted him with a double suplex and then dragged him to their corner to isolate him with quick tags. When Williams tried the Bombs Away prematurely, Homicide rolled out of the way and then exploded off the ropes with a crossbody! He crawled over, and Koslov and Ki got tagged in at the same time! They charged, and Ki killed him with a big roundhouse. He picked him up and tossed him to the corner, then tried the Tidal Krush, but Koslov moved out of the way and then dumped the champion to the apron. He tried a big elbow, but Low Ki ducked, and put Koslov in the Bite of the Dragon around the ropes! Williams ran over and pushed them off the ropes, making them both dump to the outside, and then he leapt out and took out the champion with a plancha! Williams celebrated over the champion, but Homicide sprinted across and nailed him with a suicide dive!!!

--Commercial Break--

Things settled down into a back-and-forth motion until Williams tripped Homicide up from the outside, and Koslov pounced with a Russian Legsweep. Williams tagged in and started putting random submission holds in on Homicide, and again proclaiming that he’s the best technical wrestler in the world. Every time Homicide would mount a comeback, Koslov would get involved from the outside to cut it off. Williams eventually went for the Bow and Arrow, but Homicide avoided it like crazy. He got to his feet and tried a belly-to-belly, but Williams blocked it and nailed a release British Suplex!! He then locked in the Bow and Arrow, but Low Ki was quick to climb into the ring and stomp the shit out of Williams’ face to break it up. The ref forced Ki back to his corner, allowing for some more double-teaming by the heels behind his back. Koslov went for the Red Scare (Fisherman Buster), but Homicide kneed out in midair, AND COUNTERED INTO THE 187!!! It took him a while to regain himself, but then he crawled over and made the hot tag! Low Ki came in on fire and cleaned house with his vicious kicks and chops. He got Koslov up for the Ki Krusher, but Williams pulled him down from it! He grabbed Low Ki and tried the Chaos Theory, but Homicide grabbed him from behind and nailed a Tiger Suplex! He picked him up, but Williams tackled him through the ropes, and the two brawled all around the outside of the ring. Back inside, Low Ki tried a roundhouse, but Koslov ducked and ran off the ropes, but he turned around right into a Double Underhook Suplex! Ki quickly locked in the Dragon Clutch, and Koslov had no choice but to tap!
Winners via submission: Low Ki/Homicide (14:28)

Homicide and Doug Williams continued brawling on the floor as Low Ki held up his title in the ring. When he turned around, he was met by a huge superkick from Alex Shelley!!! Low Ki went down, and Shelley held up the X-Division title, and then grabbed a microphone and said that this was his official challenge to the X-Division Champion.

--Commercial Break--

Planet Jarrett (again, that’s Jarrett, Angle, Nash, Waltman, Roode, and the James Gang) came out and Jarrett said that we was not going to comment on the Samoa Joe situation, since that’s private business of the company. Instead, he would comment on the TNA Championship, which was degraded in a sham of a match last week on iMPACT. He said that Kurt Angle would be getting a rematch at Final Resolution, and all parties – including Mick Foley – would be barred from ringside.

Mick Foley came out and said that Styles vs Angle was impossible for Final Resolution, because Kurt Angle already has a match for that night. Foley said that Jarrett may have founded TNA, and so he has a lot of pull, but that doesn’t mean that he’s the very very very top of the food chain. So, Foley went to the top and he got approval from DIXIE CARTER~ for a Thanksgiving present to himself: Kurt Angle vs Mick Foley at Final Resolution! He then said that he’s still General Manager of this show, and so he’s booking tonight’s main event: Eric Young vs Rob Van Dam vs Tyson Tomko vs Booker T vs Robert Roode in a five-man elimination match. And the winner of that match will go on to face AJ Styles for the TNA Championship at Final Resolution. Jarrett and Angle were irate in the ring, but Angle snatched the mic and said that he was going to end Foley at Final Resolution.

Backstage, Daniels told the Enlightened that he requested the match with Raven to prove to them that we can talk the talk AND walk the walk.

--Commercial Break--

Match 2: Raven vs Christopher Daniels
They started on the mat, and tried that for a while before Raven backed out. He charged in for a clothesline, but Daniels ducked and caught him coming back with a Reverse STO. He went straight into some arm work, but Raven fought back with his brawling experience. He began to target Daniels’ head and neck, but Daniels started busting out high-risk moves to create space. That backfired when Daniels went for a springboard moonsault, and tackled him out of midair, making him fold in half and crash to the mat! After a swinging neckbreaker, he went for the Even Flow, but Daniels shoved him off to the ropes, and caught him coming back with a Blue Thunder Driver, but he couldn’t hold the pin too strong. ONE! TWO! TH – Raven kicked out. They both got up and Raven tried a Russian legsweep, but Daniels spun out and threw Raven into the corner. He charged, but Raven moved, and Daniels crashed headfirst! He stumbled back, and Raven hit a bulldog! ONE! TWO! THR – Daniels kicked out! Raven pulled him up and tried a vertical suplex, but Daniels floated over and surprised Raven with a double knee gutbuster! He ran to the corner to try the Best Moonsault Ever, but Raven moved, but Daniels landed on his feet! Raven turned around, and Daniels kicked him in the gut, and he nailed the Angel’s Wings! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Christopher Daniels (6:10)

Daniels celebrated in the ring, and then Kaz and Rave came down to celebrate with him. Raven got up and looked totally betrayed, but the Enlightened ignored him.

Kevin Nash was backstage in Jarrett’s office and said it was bullshit that Booker T was in the five-man match tonight, and that his business with Booker is not over. Nash then asked for the 2 Crazy Negroes to be booked in a match tonight, and Jarrett grinned. He said he had just the opponents for them, for coming to Booker T’s aid last week.

Jimmy Jacobs found Alex Shelley and asked why he didn’t just challenge Low Ki WITHOUT laying him out? Shelley said that Jacobs needs to quit second-guessing him constantly. He said that there is not “group†anymore. There’s no more Sabin, and so no more MCMG. It’s just Shelley, and Jacobs can be either with him, or against him.

--Commercial Break--

Commentary talked about how heading into a match with two monsters, some heads up is needed, but 2CN got none.

Match 3: Abyss/Matt Morgan vs 2 Crazy Negroes
This was obviously a lot of big men/little men stuff, but the Negroes seemed to have a newfound confidence that led them to do a hit-and-run strategy that focused more on the hitting. They managed to get a great sequence on Morgan with dropkicks and lariats, and they eventually took him to the ground! Creed went up top and leapt off with a crossbody, but Morgan caught him mid-air, and he nailed a fallaway slam! The monsters isolated Creed brutally, but he never stopped trying to create space with high-flying moves. He nearly made the tag after a springboard crossbody to Abyss, but he tried a rolling thunder clothesline to follow it up, and Abyss caught him with a chokeslam! ONE! TWO! THRE – Creed kicked out! Morgan got in and worked over his back with big suplexes, but Creed managed to spin out of a German, and he nailed a reverse Frankensteiner! He crawled over and made the hot tag to Lethal, who rushed in and hit lariat after lariat after lariat on Morgan, until he finally went down to a knee, and Lethal exploded off the ropes with a hurricanrana that put him to the mat! ONE! TWO! Morgan kicked out with authority! Lethal tried a superkick, but Morgan caught his leg and then nearly decapitated him with a lariat! He and Abyss made quick tags to beat down Lethal, but Booker T came down to ringside to cheer him on! When Morgan put him in a Bear Hug, Booker T and the crowd rallied Lethal to come back, and Lethal struck with a few right hands, and then nailed a high-angle DDT! He crawled over and made the hot tag to Creed, who springboarded in with a dropkick! ONE! TWO! TH – Morgan kicked out! Creed kept trying to contain him to the mat as Booker guided him from the outside, BUT NASH RAN DOWN AND TACKLED BOOKER T FROM BEHIND! Creed looked over and saw it, and the distraction allowed Morgan to nail a huge gutwrench powerbomb! Abyss got in and brutalized Creed with clubbing blows, but Chris Daniels, Elix Skipper, Frankie Kazarian, and Jimmy Rave all poured in through the crowd! With the referee trying to get Nash and Booker to quit fighting on the outside, they all climbed into the ring, but Abyss and Morgan managed to scare them all back out. Morgan climbed out of the ring to chase them away, and in the ring, CREED GOT A ROLL UP ON ABYSS! The ref spotted in and made the count! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winners via pinfall: 2 Crazy Negroes (8:08)

Abyss JUST kicked out, and neither he nor Creed could believe that he just got the win! Booker T and Nash kept brawling up the ramp, and Chris Daniels and the Enlightened all scurried to the back to avoid the approaching Abyss and Morgan. Creed and Lethal celebrated like crazy in the ring.

--Commercial Break--

Abyss and Matt Morgan were thrashing around in the back looking for Chris Daniels, but they only found Raven, who was cracking up.

Match 4: America’s Most Wanted vs Elijah Burke/Davey Richards [Non-Title]
This was obviously pretty one-sided, but Burke and Richards did get some offense in due to cheating and whatnot. At one point, Richards and Storm got into a slugging contest, and Richards actually hung in there surprisingly well, before he was simply overpowered by one half of the tag team champions. Storm threw him around a bit, but he managed to tag in Burke, who was immediately crushed by a Spear from a freshly tagged in Harris. He picked him up for the Catatonic, but Richards got back in the ring to break it up. He got in Harris’ face and reared back to punch, but Harris caught his arm and then threw him to Storm, who nailed the Eight Second Ride! AMW focused back on Burke, and they nailed the Death Sentence, and Harris followed up with the pin for the three-count.
Winners via pinfall: America’s Most Wanted (5:39)

AMW celebrated, and then grabbed the microphones and said that their journey was only just getting started.

Mick Foley was with Lauren, and she asked about Samoa Joe. He said that he has been unable to get in contact with anybody about the situation but that, to be honest, he’s worried.

A video montage of TNA’s Greatest Thanksgiving Moments played, highlighted of course by the Angles’ family dinner, people dressing up like turkeys, and the overall Turkey Bowl. It closed with Don West, dressed as a turkey, wishing the fans a Happy Thanksgiving.

--Commercial Break--

Nash was irate about Booker T and the Negroes pulling a fast one on him like that. Roode said that he may have a team in mind that could help him deal with those 3 Crazy Negroes, and he’d ask them next week, but right now, he had to go win the number one contendership.

AJ Styles came down for commentary, and Cornette and Tenay made Don West leave so that AJ could have his seat :( .

Match 5: Eric Young vs Rob Van Dam vs Tyson Tomko vs Robert Roode vs Booker T [Elimination Rules]
This started out as a free-for-all, but there was obviously a lot of Young/Roode heat. Eventually it divided up, and Booker T and RVD went at it in the corner, so Tomko decided to go over and help Young, and the two swatted Roode around for a bit. Tomko went for the Argentine Neckbreaker on him, but he slid down and rolled to the outside, WHERE ERIC YOUNG TOOK HIM OUT WITH A SUICIDE DIVE! They brawled around on the outside, so Tomko turned his attention to the other two, who were having a chop-fest. RVD went to monkey flip Booker T out of the corner, and Booker flew right into Tomko, and planted him with a powerbomb! ONE! TWO! THR – Booker T kicked out! Tomko stood up, but RVD took him out with a flying kick from the top! ONE! TWO – Tomko kicked out with authority! RVD tried a big roundhouse, but Tomko ducked it and came off the ropes with a huge falling lariat! He picked him up for a double-armed chokeslam, but RVD grabbed a Victory Roll! ONE! TWO! THRE – Tomko kicked out! Young and Roode ended up back in the ring, and all five guys just started laying into each other! EY clotheslined Roode out of the ring, but then turned right around into THE BEWT~! Tomko turned around, and RVD caught him with a flying crossbody that sent Tomko to the outside! RVD got up, and Booker T immediately nailed him with the Harlem Sidekick! He stood up, and he gave us the Spin-A-Roonie~! Kevin Nash ran down and hopped up on the apron, and Booker T ran over to knock him down, but he leapt down. Booker continued yelling at him, and Roode snuck in and hit the Roode Awakening! He covered, and Nash held down Booker’s legs from the outside! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Booker T has been eliminated! (9:36)
Kevin Nash grinned on the outside, and he backed up, but he ran into Tomko, who dropped Nash with a big boot on the outside! Tomko then slid into the ring and ran after Roode, but he slid out of the ring! Tomko chased after him still, and Roode slid back in, and he ran right into a Thesz Press from EY! Young picked him up and nailed the Spike Piledriver! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Robert Roode has been eliminated! (10:05)
Tomko climbed in and he and Young went at it for a while, with Young trying to chop away at Tomko’s big legs. Tomko finally got a hold of him and tried a powerbomb, but Young rolled through with a sunset flip! ONE! TWO! THRE – Tomko kicked out! Eric Young grabbed Tomko and quickly put him in a Boston Crab! He cranked back, and as the ref checked on Tomko, Robert Roode snuck up to beside the ring where Eric Young was, AND HE CRACKED HIM OVER THE SKULL WITH HIS BRASS KNUCKLES!!! Young hit the mat, and Tomko was confused, but he didn’t hesitate to pick up EY and nail the Argentine Neckbreaker! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Eric Young has been eliminated! (10:29)
Rob Van Dam climbed back in the ring and saw that it was just he and Tomko, and the two stared off as we went to our final commercial break!

--Commercial Break--

RVD was going crazy with his kicks on Tomko, but the bigger guy kept shoving him off and then killing him with lariats and back elbows. He tried the two-armed chokeslam, but RVD kicked out and tackled Tomko backward into the corner. He did a flip backward and then charged, but Tomko moved and Van Dam’s shoulder drove into the steel post! Tomko had him cornered there, and he went crazy with elbows. He then threw RVD into the corner with a strong whip that made RVD crash front-first! He lifted himself to his feet, but Tomko creamed him in the corner with a body avalanche! RVD flopped to the mat and Tomko covered! ONE! TWO! THRE – RVD kicked out! Tomko pulled him up and tried the Argentine Neckbreaker, but RVD spun out. He ran off the ropes, but Tomko caught him with TEH BEWT~! ONE! TWO! THRE – RVD KICKED OUT! Tomko leaned down, but RVD grabbed an inside cradle! ONE! TWO! THR – Tomko kicked out! They both got up and Tomko tried a lariat, but RVD ducked and came back with a springboard crossbody! ONE! TWO! TH – Tomko kicked out! RVD hit a quick corkscrew legdrop, and then went off the ropes with a Rolling Thunder! ONE! TWO! – Tomko kicked out, with authority! RVD kept going with his big kicks, but Tomko shoved him off and charged with a big lariat, but RVD ducked and surprised Tomko with an arm-trap somersault cradle! ONE! TWO! THRE – Tomko just kicked out! He stood up, and turned around RIGHT INTO A SUPERKICK! RVD climbed to the top and nailed the Five Star Frog Splash! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Rob Van Dam (18:02)

Rob Van Dam celebrated in the ring as Styles climbed in. Tomko stood up and nodded at them both, said something to Styles, and then shook RVD’s hand. Styles shook RVD’s hand as well, and then held up the TNA World Championship in his face to close the show.

Rob Van Dam comes out at the start out of the show and he calls out AJ Styles, who comes out with the world title. RVD reiterates that he and Styles tore down the house at Turning Point, and they get the chance to do it again at Final Resolution, except he thinks they can do one better. Styles asked what he meant, and RVD mentioned how they are both known for being living, breathing highlight reels, and how nothing would prove that more than . . . A LADDER MATCH~!

The crowd went nuts, and Styles agreed, AND IT WAS SET! YEAH! Rob Van Dam also said that he has a special challenge for tonight. A tag team match in the main event: Styles and a partner versus he and a partner. Styles agreed, and said he’d have a partner by the end of the night, and he asked if RVD had a partner already in mind. RVD said he was glad he asked . . . AND SABU CAME OUT!!! Styles nodded at his competition, and yeah, a break.

--Commercial Break--

Commentary talked about the recent heat between Homicide and Doug Williams, and how Homicide requested the following match.

Match 1: Homicide vs Dave Taylor w/ Doug Williams
While Williams was still in the ring talking trash with Homicide, Taylor jumped him and immediately started laying into him with stiff strikes. Homicide fought back with chops of his own, and he managed to get off a running arched boot for a nearfall. He went up top, but Williams provided enough of a distraction for Taylor to crotch Homicide up top, and then toss him to the mat. He started to work over his back, and he really stretched him out with submission moves. He had a surfboard stretch in for a bit, but Homicide fought to his feet, and then tossed him overhead with a modified Northern Lights Suplex! ONE! TWO! THR – Taylor kicked out! Homicide ran off the ropes and nailed the West Brooklyn Lariat! ONE! TWO! THRE – Williams put Taylor’s foot on the rope, and the ref saw the result and stopped his count! Homicide started shouting at Williams on the outside, and then turned around, and Taylor kicked him in the gut. He tried his British Suplex, but Homicide shoved out, AND HE HIT A FLASH 187! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Homicide (5:59)

Homicide celebrated in the ring, but Doug Williams came in and attacked him from behind! Dave Taylor joined in with the attack, and they put the boots on for a while. Williams finally stopped the attack, and then locked in the Bow and Arrow! He held it until Homicide tapped out, and then he let go and celebrated up the ramp with Dave Taylor.

Christopher Daniels was backstage with the Enlightened and he said that he beat Raven last week to prove his worth to them, and now he’s going to do the same with Abyss.

--Commercial Break--

Match 2: Christopher Daniels vs Abyss w/ Matt Morgan
This was a lot of Daniels stalling and refusing to get too close to Abyss, but he always remained confident-looking. Every time he’d go to lock-up at all, he’d turn around and tell the ref that Morgan was about to attack him, which Morgan was not. Daniels finally went in for a lock-up, and Abyss immediately threw him backward. He charged again, and Abyss tried a lariat, but Daniels ducked and hit the ropes, and tripped as if somebody grabbed his leg, but nobody did. He then told the ref that Morgan tripped him, and the ref bought it, so he sent Morgan to the back! Abyss was arguing with the ref, and he gave Daniels the chance to chop block him from behind! Daniels went after his leg like a maniac, and he would go to the eyes every time Abyss started to fight back. He eventually locked in a reverse Figure Four, but Abyss easily powered his way to the ropes. Daniels ran off the ropes, but Abyss caught him with a sidewalk slam! ONE! TWO! TH – Daniels kicked out. Abyss hobbled up and tried a powerbomb, but Daniels punched at his leg to break free, and then he managed an inside cradle! ONE! TWO! THR – Abyss kicked out! Daniels tried a quick Last Rites, but Abyss picked him up and threw him over straight up in the air, and he slammed to the mat below! He tossed him against the ropes for the Black Hole Slam, but Daniels hung onto the ropes! Abyss charged and clothesline Daniels out of the ring! He went out to follow him, but Daniels hit a dropkick to his leg! He rolled him back into the ring and tried the Angel’s Wings, but Abyss back body dropped out of it! He picked up Daniels for a chokeslam, but Daniels slithered out, and he turned around RIGHT INTO A CHAIR SHOT FROM RAVEN! WTF! Raven then ran across and nailed Abyss with the chair too! Wtf! The referee obviously called for the bell.
Result: No contest due to interference (7:11)

Raven kept smashing Daniels and Abyss with the steel chair, but Matt Morgan rushed down to the ring to clear him out. As Raven backed up the ramp, the Enlightened ran out and tackled him from behind! They picked him up and planted him with a DDT on the steel ramp, and then ran down to the ring to pull Daniels out and help him to the back.

Robert Roode was walking backstage when Eric Young got in his face and challenged Roode to try to hit him with brass knuckles when his back isn’t turned. Roode scoffed, and then reared back for a right hand, but EY blocked it and hit one of his own! They brawled a bit, and Young eventually got the upper hand and send Roode into the wall, then walked off.

--Commercial Break--

Roode burst into Jarrett’s office to find Jarrett and Nash discussing some sort of business. He went off about Eric Young, and demanded another match with him at Final Resolution. Nash stepped up and said that Roode doesn’t get to “demand†stuff yet, but they can make a deal. If Roode can find a tag team to team up with Nash to take on Booker T and the 2 Crazy Negroes, then he can have his match with Young. Roode looked at Jarrett, who just nodded. Roode said he had just the team in mind, and walked out.

Tenay said that Jarrett had the following match made because Tomko BEWTED~ Nash last week.

Match 3: Tyson Tomko/Rhino vs Sean Waltman/The James Gang
Waltman pretty much refused to get in the ring, so it was a lot of Tomko and Rhino crushing the James Gang. Kip managed to dodge a Gore that sent Rhino into the corner, and then he dropped him with a neckbreaker. He and BG managed to isolate him for a bit for their EXPERIENCE~, and even Waltman got in after a while, just to throw in a few kicks, and then tag out. After the James Gang hit the Double Flapjack, Waltman really wanted in. He went for the Comedown, but Rhino powered up and hit a pump handle slam! He jumped over and made the hot tag, and Tomko came in ON FIRE~! He tossed Waltman around like a rag doll, and he went for the Argentine Neckbreaker, but Waltman got down and immediately tagged in Kip James! Kip didn’t want to get in, so Tomko threw him in! Kip got up and charged, and Tomko got him with TEH BEWT~! ONE! TWO! TH – BG James broke it up! He kept stomping at Tomko, BUT HE GOT LEVELED WITH A GORE! GORE! GORE! Tomko pulled up and hit the Argentine Neckbreaker on Kip James, and then covered for the win.
Winners via pinfall: Tyson Tomko/Rhino (5:08)

Tomko and Rhino celebrated, but Waltman hopped up on the apron and told Tomko to suck it. Tomko ran for him, but Waltman jumped off the apron and laughed at him up the ramp.

Robert Roode approached America’s Most Wanted and told him about the great opportunity they’d have in teaming up with Kevin Nash to take on Booker T and the Negroes. They said that they don’t want to have anything to do with that piece of scum, Jeff Jarrett. Roode told Storm he thought they were friends, and he said they are, but he and Jarrett aren’t. So Roode stormed off.

--Commercial Break--

Robert Roode went to Jarrett’s office and said that AMW agreed. Jarrett was ecstatic, and he officially announced both Robert Roode vs Eric Young and Kevin Nash/AMW vs 3 Crazy Negroes for Final Resolution.

Match 4: Petey Williams/Tyson Dux vs 2 Crazy Negroes w/ Booker T
This was a move-fest sprint for the first few minutes, but Williams caught Creed off the ropes and nailed a fallaway slam. Team Canada Redeux worked over the young Negro for a bit, and Petey specifically threw around his “power†to work over Creed’s back. Dux tried to fight him into the Sharpshooter, but Creed grabbed an inside cradle! ONE! TWO! THR – Dux kicked out! Dux got up and tried a clothesline, but Creed ducked and rolled over to make the hot tag! Lethal cleaned house with fiery punches, and he eventually kicked Petey into the Monti Fisto! Petey rolled to the outside, and Creed ran out at him and collided with a suicide dive! In the ring, Lethal went for the Lethal Combination on Dux, but he blocked it with some elbows. He went for the North of the Border Brainbuster, but Lethal floated over and hit a reverse DDT! He pulled Dux up and nailed the Lethal Combination! ONE! TWO! THRE – Petey broke it up! He picked Lethal up and tried the Border’s Edge (Outsider’s Edge), but Lethal slid down behind him, and hit a roundhouse to the back of his head! He stumbled forward right into the Creed-DT! He held Petey down on the mat as Lethal pulled Dux up and hit a body slam, then went up top! Lethal Elbow! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winners via pinfall: 2 Crazy Negroes (8:39)

The 3 Crazy Negroes celebrated in the ring.

AJ Styles asked Mick Foley where Samoa Joe was, because he’d like him to be his partner tonight. Foley said he wasn’t sure, but he’d address that after the break.

--Commercial Break--

Mick Foley came out to the iMPACT Zone and cut a promo on how Angle, Jarrett, Nash, etc. are, in general, pieces of shit. He told Jarrett that it was now a war for power of the company, whether he liked it or not, and the quickest way he sees fit to dismantle Jarrett’s plan is to take out his golden boy, Kurt Angle. He said that he’s not been let in on the loop as to why Samoa Joe isn’t allowed into the arena still, but he will find out. And when he does, he’ll make sure something’s done about it. In the mean time, it’s time to dismantle Planet Jarrett, and that starts with Kurt Angle. Angle came out and talked shit to Foley, about how he was never great, and he certainly isn’t anymore. They exchanged words and it escalated into a brawl! It spilled to the outside, but security finally split them up!

Alex Shelley told Jimmy Jacobs to either be in his corner, or don’t be, but to stop trying to both stick up for Sabin AND be associated with Shelley.

AJ Styles found Eric Young backstage and asked him to be his tag team partner tonight, and he agreed.

--Commercial Break--

Apparently Low Ki accepted Alex Shelley’s challenge, so cool.

Match 5: Low Ki/Amazing Red vs Alex Shelley/Kiyoshi
Low Ki raped Shelley at the start with ridiculously stiff chops and kicks, so he tagged out, and Kiyoshi took the brunt, despite trying to keep up with chops of his own. Ki eventually got bored, and Amazing Red got in and did his flippity shit that the crowd loves. He hit the Projectile Hurricanrana and went up top, but Kiyoshi rolled to the outside. He tried to catch his breath, BUT RED LEAPED TO THE OUTSIDE AND TOOK HIM OUT WITH A MOONSAULT! They kept brawling on the outside, and Kiyoshi eventually sent him into the barricade, so Low Ki ran across and took him out with a suicide dive! Shelley got in the ring and ran against the ropes, but as he came back, Low Ki looked up, so Shelley stopped dead in his tracks, and just went back over to his corner.

--Commercial Break--

Ki and Red made quick tags to keep Kiyoshi down, but he managed to dodge a springboard wheel kick, and he exploded with a 540 kick! He tagged in Shelley, who was completely cocky in working over Red, and he kept taunting Low Ki the entire time. He picked Red up and talked some smack to him, and Red exploded with a Satellite DDT! Kiyoshi climbed into the ring to distracted the ref, so when Red made the tag to Ki, the ref didn’t see it! He forced Ki back to his corner, and Shelley pulled Red back to the middle of the ring, AND HE LOCKED IN THE DRAGON CLUTCH! Amazing Red managed to slip out of Shelley’s knock-off version of the move, and he threw Shelley across the ring with an arm drag. Shelley charged, but Red caught him with a hip toss, and transitioned right into a Full Nelson Facebuster! Red made the tag first, and Ki sprinted for Shelley, but he managed to slither over and tag in Kiyoshi. He got in and walked right into a big roundhouse, and then he was dropkicked all the way to the corner. Low Ki followed up with the Tidal Krush and he covered! ONE! TWO! THRE – Shelley pulled him off! Shelley got in his face, and Kiyoshi ran at Ki with a 540 crescent, but he ducked, and Kiyoshi hit Shelley! Low Ki picked up Kiyoshi and hit the Ki Krusher! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Alex Shelley/Kiyoshi (11:54)

Low Ki celebrated in the ring with his belt, but Shelley came up behind him and attacked! He stomped away at him and tried the Shellshock, but Ki floated over and started laying into Shelley with kicks! He kept it up, but he heard his name shouted, so he turned around RIGHT INTO A SPEAR FROM JIMMY JACOBS!!! Jacobs helped Shelley up, and they hugged, then celebrated up the ramp as Shelley motioned for the belt.

--Commercial Break--

Match 6: AJ Styles/Eric Young vs Rob Van Dam/Sabu
Styles and RVD started it out, and they had a solid exchange. Styles started to gain leverage with some arm work, so he tagged in EY, who really upped the technical game. RVD managed to kick his way out, and he tagged in Sabu, who wanted to get into a brawl right away. Young tried to slow it down by going to the mat, but Sabu wanted very little of that, and he just started punching Young in the face. He had little regard for the rules, so EY eventually just got flustered and tagged AJ back in. With the champion, Sabu was more respectful, and they went to the mat a bit. Styles managed to hit his dropkick sequence, but he ran off the ropes again, right into a hip toss and subsequent springboard leg drop! ONE! TWO! TH – The champion kicked out. Sabu followed up with some neck work, but Styles fought out pretty easily with his high-flying, and it ended up turning into a very fast-paced back-and-forth bout with all four guys getting involved. Young ended up getting isolated for a bit, but after he caught Sabu off of a springboard crossbody and hit a power slam, he made the hot tag! Styles cleaned house, and he managed to dump Van Dam out of the ring with a headscissors! He turned around and Sabu tried a leg lariat, but Styles ducked and got Sabu up for the Rack Bomb! ONE! TWO! THRE – Sabu kicked out! Styles tagged in Eric Young, who immediately went for the Spike Piledriver, but Sabu back body dropped out. He tried the Arabian Press, but Young got the knees up! He ran off the ropes and exploded with a huge lariat! ONE! TWO! THRE – RVD broke it up! He pulled up Young, but Styles springboarded into the ring and took RVD out with his elbow smash! RVD got up on the outside, but Styles nailed him with a plancha, and they brawled out there. Young turned back to Sabu and planted him with a body slam, and then he went up top! But wait! Robert Roode ran down! With the ref trying to break up Styles and RVD on the outside, Roode bashed Young up top with the brass knuckles to the back of the head! He ducked down under the apron, out of sight, as Sabu got to his feet. Sabu looked over and saw Young completely knocked out up top, so he climbed up and nailed a Super Frankensteiner! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Rob Van Dam/Sabu (9:40)

Robert Roode climbed back into the ring began throwing punches at Eric Young! RVD and Styles noticed what was happening, so they climbed in together and, with Sabu pulled Roode off, but Roode started attacking them too! They fought back, which drew out Nash, Waltman, and the James Gang. Booker T and the Negroes came out to gun for Nash, and that helped even the odds, but Tomko came out as well and went right for Waltman! Angle ran down to help, but Foley came down right behind him! A big fight broke out, but in the end EY planted Roode with the Spike Piledriver, Booker T hit Nash with the Missile Dropkick, Tomko BEWTED~ the shit out of Waltman, and Foley let Styles have the honor of knocking Angle out of the ring with a big roundhouse!

Again, the faces stood tall in the ring to close the show.

Just something to consider. There a 4 tag team matches in the show which is a bit much. In a regular show, tag matches rarely used more than once. A tag team consited of actual teams and if there are twoo, its two feuds in one match type thing. other than that, The overall show was pretty entertaining. I enjoyed the end of the show, However. A the end I think it was too much with nearly your entire roster out. It seemed to be a little jumbliy even though. It tied together. If that makes sense

But now, something that isn’t those matches.

Match 3: Christopher Daniels/Elix Skipper vs Abyss/Matt Morgan
This was mostly Skipper bumping around for the big men, but when Daniels got in he was far more cautious to get right into a lock-up. He managed to get some good kicks to Abyss’ legs, and he ran off the ropes, but Abyss caught him by the neck! He got to his fight and tried a chokeslam, but Daniels maneuvered out and planted him with a tornado DDT! He ran to the corner for the Best Moonsault Ever, but Abyss moved and tagged in Morgan! Skipper also got tagged in and charged, but Morgan leveled him with a discus clothesline! He went up top and nailed a flying crossbody! ONE! TWO! THRE – Daniels broke it up! Abyss climbed in the ring and picked Daniels up, then tossed him clear out of the ring! He then pulled him Skipper and held him in place while Morgan ran off the ropes and hit the Carbon Footprint! Winners via disqualification: Abyss/Matt Morgan (5:03)

The Enlightened tackled Abyss, and stomped at he and Morgan on the mat, and Daniels and Skipper eventually added in, until Raven ran down with a steel chair! The Enlightened looked worried, but then they picked up Abyss to hold him in place for Raven, who reared back, AND KNOCKED JIMMY RAVE OVER THE HEAD! AND THEN HE SMASHED KAZ! Daniels and Skipper charged, but they both got steel chair shots too! Raven held the chair up in the ring as Daniels, Skipper, and the Enlightened hobbled up the ramp.

Sean Morley was with Ricky Steamboat Jr backstage and said that they’ve been teaming up for nearly a year on Xplosion, and tonight’s their night to prove their worth on iMPACT.

--Commercial Break--

Commentary announced Homicide vs Doug Williams for Final Resolution.

Match 2: Homicide/Sean Morley/Ricky Steamboat Jr vs The Redcoats/TJ Perkins
This was fast-paced the whole way through, and at the beginning there was a stretch of flippity moves between Steamboat and Perkins to give them some quality TV time. Homicide got his midsection worked over a little bit by The Redcoats, but he managed to pull out a Tiger Suplex on Taylor to tag in Morley. He cleaned house with big lariats, and he hit a big Leviathan Spinebuster on Perkins! ONE! TWO! THR – Williams broke it up! He pulled Perkins over and tagged himself in, and he went crazy with knees on Morley. He picked him up and tried the Chaos Theory, but Morley elbowed out and hit a big Powerslam, then tagged in Steamboat! Williams charged at him, but Steamboat hit an ARM DRAG~! He went up top and nailed a flying chop! ONE! TWO! THRE – Williams kicked out! He went up top again, but this time Taylor blatantly knocked him off! Homicide ran across the ring and pulled Taylor into the ring and started batting him around! Perkins climbed in, but Morley immediately leveled him with a high knee. Williams snuck up and nailed the double knees from behind, then tossed Morley out of the ring! Homicide went after Williams, but Perkins took him out from behind with a Hangman’s Neckbreaker! He watched the outside of the ring to stand guard as Williams went over to Steamboat, BUT STEAMBOAT GRABBED AN INSIDE CRADLE! ONE! TWO! THRE – Williams kicked out! They both got up, and Williams destroyed him with an uppercut knee to the face! He hit the mat, and Williams locked in the Bow and Arrow! Within seconds, Steamboat tapped.
Winners via submission: The Redcoats/TJ Perkins (6:48)

Doug Williams kept the submission hold in on Steamboat until Morley and Homicide rushed the ring. They helped Steamboat up, but Taylor and Perkins attacked them from behind, and then Williams joined back in. Williams eventually put the Bow and Arrow on Homicide, and Taylor and Perkins stood guard until Homicide tapped out! The heels then celebrated up the ramp.

Backstage, Eric Young told Petey Williams that he lost the match last week, so to please not mess it up this week.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Raven said he was sick of doing all he could and getting nothing in return. He said he’s officially waging war on Chris Daniels; Quote the Raven, Nevermore.

Match 3: Petey Williams w/ Eric Young vs Sean Waltman w/ Robert Roode
This was a steady back-and-forth until Williams started throwing around his power. He pinballed Waltman around and went a military press, but Waltman gouged at the eyes and countered into a DDT. He worked over head a neck, not hesitant to break the rules. He went for the Comedown, but Williams pulled out his legs and put in the Sharpshooter! Waltman made it to the ropes, but Williams kept stomping at him. He pulled him up and tried the Border’s Edge, but Waltman countered mid-air into the X-Factor! ONE! TWO! THRE – Williams got a foot on the ropes! Waltman climbed to the top rope and waited for him to get up, then tried a Flying Spin Kick, but Williams dodged it. They both got up, and Williams exploded with a huge lariat! He went up top, butt Roode climbed onto the apron! Williams shouted at him, but Young came over and yanked him off the apron! They brawled on the outside, and the distraction let Waltman hit a wheel kick to Williams up top! He toppled into the ring and pulled him up, then nailed the Comedown! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Sean Waltman (7:02)

Eric Young chased after Roode to the back while Waltman celebrated over Williams’ body.

Mick Foley welcomed Chad Collyer, his opponent for later tonight, and put over his amateur background. He said that he’d be good practice for Angle at Final Resolution, and Collyer thanked him for the opportunity.

--Commercial Break--

Match 4: Mick Foley vs Chad Collyer
Collyer seemed really nervous here, but he managed to take Foley to the mat a couple times, which gave him more confidence. Foley managed to work over his arm a bit, and he eventually transitioned an arm bar into a neckbreaker, and then worked over the head and neck. Foley went for the Double-Arm DDT, but Collyer countered out and hit a side belly-to-belly suplex! Collyer pulled him up, but Foley exploded with right hands, and then let out a BANG! BANG! Collyer stumbled up and into the Double-Arm DDT, then covered for the win.
Winner via pinfall: Mick Foley (3:41)

Foley celebrated in the ring until Kurt Angle ran down and tackled him to the mat! Foley tried to fight back, but Angle was relentless. He hit Foley with a belly-to-belly, and then nailed the Olympic Slam before returning to the back.

In the locker room, Young told Petey that it would have been nice for Petey to go over Waltman in order for him to get some momentum over Roode. But, yeah, Petey let him down.

Backstage, Rob Van Dam said that his specialty is getting high, and at Final Resolution, he’s going to climb up high, grab the belt, and be the new TNA Champion.

--Commercial Break--

America’s Most Wanted went up to Robert Roode backstage, furious about having to team with Nash at Final Resolution. Roode told them he has a huge match to worry about and to leave him alone, but they can talk to Jarrett if they want.

Match 5: Low Ki/Volador vs Alex Shelley/Jimmy Jacobs
Shelley and Jacobs showed a lot of great tag team chemistry from the get-go. Ki showed his usual aggression, and Volador jumped around some, so it was fairly even for the first stretch. Shelley got frustrated so he tried to bail, but Volador lined up and took him out with a somersault plancha!

--Commercial Break--

Volador kept beating around Shelley, but Shelley went to the eyes. He tried a backpack stunner, but Volador elbowed out and hit a reverse DDT. He went up top, but Shelley shoved the ref into the ropes and Volador got crotched up top. The ref went over and yelled at Shelley, which let Jacobs shoved Volador off the top, and he crashed to the mat! Team Detroit isolated Volador for a good stretch with some aggressive neck work, but he fought back with LUCHA~ and ended up hitting a corkscrew crossbody to them both, and then he made the hot tag! Low Ki came in on fire and cleaned house with his stiff strikes. He hit Jacobs with a backbreaker, and then nailed a charging Shelley with a roundhouse! He picked up the champion for the Ki Krusher, but Shelley kneed out. He ran off the ropes and tried a Tornado DDT, but Ki countered into a Northern Lights Suplex! ONE! TWO! The champion climbed into the ring, but the ref stopped him. As he pushed him back to his corner, Shelley kicked Volador right in the crotch! He doubled over, and Shelley nailed the Shellshock! Low Ki went to break it up, but Jacobs held his legs from the outside! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Alex Shelley/Jimmy Jacobs (14:49)

Shelley and Jacobs celebrated up the ramp as Shelley motioned for the belt. Low Ki climbed into the ring and helped up Volador, and he looked pissed.

AMW went into Jarrett’s office and said they weren’t pleased with teaming with Nash at Final Resolution. He said that they would team up with him if they cared about their futures in TNA, and they would win if they cared about their titles. They looked uneasy, but then walked out pissed off. Oh, and they could start by proving their worth against 2 Crazy Negroes next week.

--Commercial Break--

Booker T, Lethal, and Creed were backstage and they all cut a promo in Ebonics that was difficult to understand. Basically, they’re going to win at Final Resolution. And something about Beyonce.

Match 6: Tyson Tomko/Rhino vs The James Gang w/ Sean Waltman
Lots of Tomko raping washed-up wrestlers. Rhino got isolated, and they worked over his neck, but clearly only BG was doing work, and Kip was mostly just taunting. Rhino kept breaking free from the double-team and almost getting the hot tag, but Waltman kept dicking around to prevent it. Tomko finally had enough and chased Waltman down on the outside, and planted him with a Powerslam on the floor! He went back to his corner, just as Rhino got a big Spinebuster on Kip! He made the hot tag to Tomko, who cleaned house with his power. He clobbered Kip with a TEH BEWT~ and covered! ONE! TWO! TH – BG broke it up! He got to his feet, AND RHINO KILLED HIM WITH A GORE! --Commercial Break--

Match 7: AJ Styles vs Robert Roode [Non-Title]
This was kind of a sprint, and Roode tried to keep up, but come on, it’s AJ Styles. Roode powered out of a Rack Bomb and threw the champion into the corner. He charged, but Styles got a boot up, and then climbed to the outside. He springboarded into the ring, but Roode caught him midair with a shoulderblock! He beat away at his midsection, and managed to shut down all of Styles’ comebacks with his power. Styles finally make some ground after whipping out the Pele. Commentary announced tons of multi-man tag team matches tonight, along with a main event of Rob Van Dam vs Jerry Lynn!

Match 1: Low Ki/Homicide/Chad Collyer vs Alex Shelley/Doug Williams/Jimmy Jacobs
This started off as a quick spotfest with everybody getting some action, and it was especially heated between Williams and Homicide. Shelley got a blind tag in and surprised Homicide with a superkick! He tossed him to the outside and signaled for the title, so Low Ki climbed into the ring and went crazy on Shelley with chops. Shelley went to the eyes and charged, but Ki bridged him to the outside, and then followed up with a corkscrew plancha! A big train followed with a Williams suicide dive, a Collyer plancha, a Jacobs Senton from the outside, and a Homicide Tope con Hilo! IN THAT ORDERRRR~!

--Commercial Break--

The spotfest continued back from the break, but it slowed down when Williams and Collyer got into a big mat sequence. Collyer managed getting a German Suplex to a big pop, but Williams tagged in Shelley, who got Collyer from behind with a bulldog. He and Jacobs used the hot tag to get their beat down on, but Collyer ducked a double clothesline and came off the ropes with a lariat of his own to the Detroit duo! Jacobs tried to cut him off, but he nailed a belly-to-belly suplex, and tagged in Low Ki! The X-Division champion raped everybody with his kicks, and he kept Shelley in the ring to kill him with chops. He finally tossed him to the outside and grabbed Jacobs for the Ki Krusher, but Williams pulled him off. He tried the Chaos Theory, but Ki elbowed out and nailed a neckbreaker. He tagged in Collyer, who grabbed Williams and nailed a Bridging German Suplex! ONE! TWO! THRE – Jacobs broke it up with a Flying Senton! Low Ki charged, but Shelley cut him off with a superkick! Sliced Bread #2! He celebrated, but turned right around into the 187 from Homicide! RUNNING DOUBLE KNEES TO HOMICIDE FROM DOUG WILLIAMS! Collyer tried another German Suplex on him, but Jacobs leveled him with a Spear! Williams dragged him into the middle of the ring and locked in the Bow and Arrow, and Collyer had no choice but to tap!
Winners via submission: Alex Shelley/Doug Williams/Jimmy Jacobs (14:28)

The heels celebrated in the ring, and Williams called for Shelley to drag over Homicide, which he did. Williams put him in the Bow and Arrow as Shelley stood guard, but Low Ki rushed the ring! He took out Shelley with a roundhouse and then gunned for Williams, BUT JACOBS INTERCEPTED HIM BY BASHING HIM IN THE SKULL WITH THE X-TITLE! Low Ki hit the mat hard, and Shelley got up and was extremely impressed. Jacobs smiled, and handed Shelley the belt, who held it up in the foreground, as Homicide tapped out again to the Bow and Arrow behind him.

Backstage, Eric Young told Petey Williams that they’re facing Roode and a couple of Xplosion guys, so he should be able to hang in there this week.

--Commercial Break--

Jerry Lynn arrived backstage, and AJ Styles was there to greet him. He wished him luck tonight, and jokingly told him not to be too tough on RVD.

Match 2: Team Canada [Young/P. Williams/Dux] vs Robert Roode/Alex Koslov/Brutus Magnus
There was a lot of Roode avoiding Young up front, refusing to get in the ring at the same time as him. Because of that, EY had pretty much no interest in the match, so it was mostly the lightweight guys going at it. Dux got isolate for a bit after Magnus hit a snap neckbreaker and dragged him to their side. The Powers took turns beating him down, and Tenay even touched on the history that Dux had with the Axis Powers early this year in the undercard. Magnus did a lot of taunting and cocky strikes, whereas Koslov was really, really aggressive, twisting Dux’s neck and whipping out all sorts of neckbreakers. He went for the Red Scare, but Dux elbowed out and got a half-nelson slam! He tried to make the tag, but Koslov got it first, and Magnus cut him off. He tried his Italian Stallion Kick, but Dux ducked it and hit a snap suplex, then tagged in Petey Williams! Petey Pump cleaned house of the Powers with his POWAH~! He got Koslov with a military press and the push-ups and an elbow. He played to the crowd, but Magnus ran at him with a lariat. Williams ducked it and Magnus bounced off the ropes, where Roode made a blind tag! Magnus came back and Petey tackled him to the ground and locked in the Sharpshooter! He pulled back, BUT ROODE LEVELED HIM FROM BEHIND WITH THE NORTHERN LARIAT! Dux tried to get into the ring, but Koslov and Magnus cut him off. Young just watched as Roode picked up Petey and hit the Roode Awakening for the uninterrupted pinfall.
Winners via pinfall: Robert Roode/Alex Koslov/Brutus Magnus (7:01)

The heels celebrated in the ring, as Tyson helped Petey up, and EY looked really upset on the outside.

Backstage, Homicide was with Lauren and he said he was going to murder that gringo Doug Williams at Final Resolution. He promise that it would be ugly.

AMW was backstage and said they don’t want to team up with Nash, but they do want to represent the TNA tag team titles well, and that’s why they’re going to win at Final Resolution.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Eric Young was really upset with Petey and said he could have used some momentum going into Final Resolution, but now he’ll have to take care of Roode on his own.

Kevin Nash came down for commentary.

Match 3: America’s Most Wanted vs 2 Crazy Negroes w/ Booker T [Non-Title]
There was a handshake to start it off, and then a really quick opening segment, with the ref pretty much allowing any guy to be in at any point. Lethal hit a really nice springboard hurricanrana onto James Storm, but then turned around into a big lariat from Harris. Creed tried a somersault clothesline, but Harris shoved him away and into the ropes. He charged, but Creed bridged him to the outside and hit a plancha! As they brawled, Lethal ran across and took out Harris with a suicide dive! The Negroes celebrated, but they turned around RIGHT INTO A STORM PLANCHA~!

--Commercial Break--

Things slowed down once Storm pulled Creed off the top rope, and AMW went after his neck. Creed tried to fight out with his fiery punches, but the champions managed to keep him in control. Harris got in and signaled for the end, but Creed spun out of the Catatonic and came off the ropes with a big dropkick! He tried for the tag, but Harris stopped him and grabbed his leg, but Creed hit an enzuigiri and then got in Lethal! He hit a series of clothesline on Harris, and finally took him down with a discus lariat! He ran off the ropes and tried a crossbody, but Harris caught him! He tried a fallaway slam, but Lethal held on and grabbed a crucifix pin! ONE! TWO! THR – Harris kicked out! They both got up, and Harris tried a big boot, but Lethal ducked under and then hit a dropkick to the back of his other knee! He attacked his leg like crazy, and managed to lock a Figure Four in on the big guy! Harris made it to the ropes, but the damage was done, and the Negroes actually managed to look very impressive in isolating one half of the tag team champions, and Booker T was cheering for them like crazy on the outside. When Lethal was in, he put in a knee bar, but Harris fought to his feet and elbowed out. He created some space and tried a big right hand, but Lethal ducked it! He went for the Lethal Combination, but he only got off the first half, and Harris stopped it, and countered into a Full Nelson Slam! Both men got up at the same time, and Harris exploded with a Flying Shoulder Block, then made the hot tag, just as Lethal tagged in Creed. Both guys got in, and Storm exploded with big punches. He threw Creed into the ropes and got off a big back body drop! ONE! TWO! THR – Creed kicked out! He picked him up and tried a powerbomb, but Creed rolled through with a sunset flip! ONE! TWO! THRE – Storm kicked out! They both got up, and Creed tried his somersault clothesline, but Storm dodged it and then nailed the Back Stabber! ONE! TWO! THRE – Creed kicked out! Storm pulled him up and tried the Eye of the Storm, but Creed countered mid-air with a Tornado DDT! ONE! TWO! THR – Harris broke it up! Lethal got in the ring and tackled him out, as Creed got up inside. He pulled him Storm, who got in a knee. He went for the Eight Second Ride, but Lethal countered into a Falling Reverse DDT! ONE! TWO! THRE – Storm kicked out! Creed climbed up top, BUT KEVIN NASH WAS ON THE APRON! Creed argued with him, but Booker T ran over and pulled him off! But the distraction was enough for Storm to get up, not having seen the argument, and catch Creed off the top with a Superplex! ONE! TWO! THRE – CREED KICKED OUT! Kevin Nash had thrown Booker T into the steel barricade on the outside and was back on the apron, shouting at Creed to get his attention for another distraction. Storm saw it was pissed, so he went over and started shouting at Nash to stay out. They got into a heated exchange, AND CREED SURPRISED STORM WITH A ROLL UP! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winners via pinfall: 2 Crazy Negroes (16:44)

Creed slid out of the ring and was stoked that he just pinned James Storm. He and Lethal celebrated up the ramp with Booker T, while AMW argued with Nash.

RVD found Jerry Lynn backstage and said he was feeling extreme tonight, and Lynn grinned and said he liked the sound of that. RVD proposed an Extreme Rules match, and Lynn agreed!

Backstage, Chris Daniels said that he, Elix Skipper, Jimmy Rave, and Frankie Kazarian were the Enlightened ones, and they’d use their superiority to take over TNA, one opponent at a time. And tonight, four at a time, when they dismember Abyss, Morgan, Raven, and Sabu all at once.

--Commercial Break--

Match 4: The Enlightened [Daniels/Skipper/Kaz/Rave] vs Abyss/Matt Morgan/Raven/Sabu
The Enlightened meshed really well here, whereas the other team had trouble getting along. Sabu especially was agitated the whole time, and he only got in once Skipper cheapshotted him. On the other hand, Raven constantly wanted in, but none of his teammates would tag him in. He only got in when he got a blind tag in on Morgan, and he immediately started raping Kaz with big right hands. He nailed a neckbreaker and went to work on his neck like a mad man. He nailed a big suplex, and offered any of his teammates a tag in, but they all denied, so Raven turned back to the middle of the ring, only to be met by a running single leg dropkick from Kaz! He dragged him over to the HEEL~ corner, and they took turns beating him down for a while. Skipper and Daniels got in at the same time and hit a nice double DDT and then went for the Power-Plex, but Raven blocked the suplex with a Snap DDT, and then took out Skipper with a discus clothesline! He crawled across and tagged in Abyss, who got in clean house like a muthafuckuh~! Chokeslams for all, and a special Black Hole Slam for Skipper! ONE! TWO! THR – Daniels broke it up! He stomped at Abyss, but Sabu took him out with a springboard clothesline! Abyss tagged in Morgan, who KILLED Skipper with the Carbon Footprint! ONE! TWO! THRE – Rave broke it up! Kaz got in the ring too, and Raven got in to attack them, but they both got him with a big military press drop! Abyss got in and charged, but Ravarian low bridged him to the outside. They turned around and Morgan grabbed them both by the throat, but Daniels got him from behind with a leg lariat to the back of the head! Morgan fell to a knee, and Ravarian hit a sick enzuigiri/superkick combination to him! He hit the mat lifeless, as Skipper rolled over to get a cover! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winners via pinfall: The Enlightened (9:20)

Raven got in the ring and yelled at Matt Morgan, but Abyss got in and grabbed Raven from behind! He picked him up and planted him with a Shock Treatment, but Daniels got in too and he dropped Abyss with a steel chair shot! He picked him up, then hit the Last Rites and then celebrated up the ramp with his followers.

--Commercial Break--

Match 5: Mick Foley/Booker T/Tyson Tomko vs Kurt Angle/Kevin Nash/Sean Waltman
Booker and Angle started it off and went to the mat, and it was really, really heated. Neither guy could really get much of advantage, but also neither guy wanted to tag out. The announcers did a good job of hyping that confrontation as being sort of big, and both guys played it off well, so there’s that. Booker managed to fight Angle off the mat with some well-placed kicks to the arm, and then he pounced at the opportunity. He kept working over the arm some, and Foley got in to do the same. Angle went to the eyes to get away, and then tagged in Waltman who nailed Foley with a wheel kick, who was still holding at his eye. He hit a spinning neckbreaker and worked over the neck some, but Foley fought back with big punches, and then he nailed a discus elbow! Waltman leaned up against the ropes, and Foley started to tag out, but he decided to sprint at him and nailed a Cactus Clothesline, taking them to the outside! Foley celebrated on the outside as we went to a break.

--Commercial Break--

We go back and Waltman was bumping around for Tomko, but he managed to escape a chokeslam and tagged in Angle. He got in and tried to take him on, but Tomko was too strong, and he got flustered. He tagged out to Nash, and he got a POWER OFF~! Battles for strengths and whatnot, and some lariat exchanges, and Tomko took Nash off his feet with a flying lariat! He went for an Argentine Neckbreaker, but Nash held on to the ropes to keep away, and then tagged in Waltman, who looked like he shat his pants. He refused to get in, but Tomko pulled him over the rope and into the ring! He picked him and immediately nailed a chokeslam, and covered! ONE! TWO! THRE – Angle broke it up! He stomped at Tomko, but Foley ran across and leveled him with a CROSSBODY~, then tossed him out of the ring! Nash climbed back in, but Booker T intercepted him with a flying missile dropkick! Waltman got up in the ring, and found himself surrounded by Foley, Tomko, and Booker T. Foley hit the Double-Arm DDT, and then Booker T pulled him up and nailed the Book End! Commentary welcomed us to the PPV and talked about what a huge night was in store. They ran down the card, complete with on-screen graphics. Jeff Jarrett came down and said that it’s been a while since he’s had a hands-on role in the company, so he thought he’d come down and do commentary for the night.

The table switched gears to talk about the issues that Homicide and Doug Williams have had for the past month or so, and how Williams has managed to make Homicide tap out to the Bow and Arrow outside of a match situation several times, and they wondered if he can translate that to a submission victory here tonight.

Match 1: Homicide vs Doug Williams w/ Dave Taylor
Commentary noted that Homicide’s ribs were not tapped up, and they wondered if that meant that his ribs were fine, or if he didn’t want to show weakness to Williams. Anyway, they went to the mat to start, and they were both really aggressive. Williams took shots at the midsection when he could, but Homicide did a good job of protecting it for the most part. Williams went for a short-arm clothesline, but Homicide ducked it and hit a neckbreaker. He followed up with a neck crank, but Williams fought to his feet and elbowed Homicide’s ribs to break free. He faked a knee to the gut so Homicide covered his rubs, but Williams surprised him with a big uppercut! Homicide hit the mat, so Williams was able to immediately pounce and start stretching him out on the mat. Homicide kept trying to fight back, but Williams went to the midsection time and time again, constantly declaring aloud himself as the greatest technical wrestler in the world to big heat. Homicide started to fight back after countering a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker into a headscissors, and he got off some good dropkicks and quick clothesline, but Williams blocked a flying hurricanrana and turned it into a powerbomb, and he kept the prawn! ONE! TWO! THR – Homicide got an arm up, but Williams kept his legs in place, and then catapulted him into corner! Homicide went flying HEADFIRST into the steel post, and he fell to the outside! Williams played to the fans in the ring for a bit, but then went outside to grab the NOW BLOODY~ Homicide. He drove him ribs-first into the barricade, and then kept the ref’s attention while Dave Taylor stomped at him some on the ground. He rolled him into the ring and kept up the cocky offense, but his lack of focus made him fall into an inside cradle from Homicide! ONE! TWO! THRE – Williams kicked out and immediately hit a big high knee! He flipped over Homicide and tried for the Bow and Arrow, but Homicide scurried to the ropes! Williams pulled him up on the apron and tried to suplex him in, but Homicide floated over and nailed a Dragon Suplex! Williams was first to his feet, but he staggered around, and Homicide was up to his knees. He felt his face and looked at his hands covered in blood, and he started to RAAAAAGE~!~! He exploded with lariat after lariat, and he topped it off with a sick Shining Wizard! Williams still managed to get to his feet using the ropes for leverage, but Homicide leveled him with a running arched boot! Both men were on the ground for a while, and fought up at the 8-count. They slowly traded blows in the middle of the ring, but their adrenaline kicked in and they broke out into a slap fest. They slowed down, but then Homicide exploded with a discus elbow, and he fell on top of Williams! ONE! TWO! THR – Williams got an arm up! Homicide pulled him up and tried the Gringo Killer, but Williams slipped through and landed behind him. He went for the Chaos Theory, but Homicide held on in the corner and back-elbowed Williams away. He leapt up onto the second-rope, and springboarded back with a crossbody! ONE! TWO! THRE – Williams got an arm up! Homicide planted him with a neckbreaker and slowly climbed up top and signaled for the end. He went for the Frog Splash, BUT WILLIAMS GOT THE KNEES UP!!! Homicide held his ribs in pain, and Williams tackled him with a Spear! He quickly rolled him over and locked in the Bow and Arrow! Homicide writhed around in pain, but he had nowhere to go! After a long, but futile fight, Homicide tapped out!
Winner via submission: Doug Williams (16:03)

Doug Williams celebrated in the ring, and at first half of the crowd was cheering for such an awesome match, but then Williams turned and started stomping at the bloodied Homicide, so they all turned into boos. Taylor joined in and the two stomped away at him, and Williams put Homicide back in the Bow and Arrow as Taylor climbed to the top rope and came off with an elbow drop to Homicide’s exposed ribs! Homicide writhed in pain as The Recoats celebrated up the ramp.

The rest of Planet Jarrett arrived backstage in a limousine and they all filed out. Angle called them together to give them a little pep talk, and said that each and every one of them should win their respective matches this evening, and Waltman was first up. He told him to go and prove that Tomko is nothing but an unemployed enforcer. Waltman laughed and said that he was going to need some major grass after this match, and he walked off.

A bloody Homicide limped around backstage and he grabbed a nearby cameraman, and put his face up to the camera. He told Doug Williams that he was a walking dead man, and that he was going to tear him to pieces.

Match 2: Tyson Tomko w/ Rhino vs Sean Waltman w/ The James Gang
If Waltman was being paid to being a fucking annoying pest and hit-and-run like a mutherfuckuh, he would have enough money from this match alone to pay for his own rehab. Twice. Tomko finally managed to catch him after laying out The James Gang on the outside with a flying double shoulderblock. He killed Waltman with a lariat on the floor, and then fucking military pressed him back into the ring. He climbed in too and leveled Waltman with TEH BEWT~! He picked him up and hit the Argentine Neckbreaker, and that was all she wrote.
Winner via pinfall: Tyson Tomko (6:34)

Tyson Tomko celebrated in the ring, and then signaled for the title as he backed up the ramp.

AJ Styles arrived backstage with his TNA Championship, and commentary talked about the big main event.

Footage of Raisha Saeed beating Daisy Haze for the Knockouts Title in the pre-show played. They then plugged Xplosion, every Saturday night, with all your favorite Knockouts action, and then some.

Match 3: Robert Roode vs Eric Young
They did some technical work up front, and this time Young kept getting flustered, so he would roll to the outside. This made Roode cocky as anything, and he kept taunting him just for the sake of it. Young would keep rushing in, and Roode would continuously catch him in some sort of basic submission maneuver. He eventually started to specifically target the arm, and yeah. Young fought him off with some big elbows, and he finally shook him after a Northern Lights Suplex. ONE! TWO! TH – Roode got an arm up. Young tossed him around for a bit, and he looked to get more confident as it went on. Roode went to the eyes and tried a powerbomb, but Young body dropped him to get out of it. He went up top and nailed a flying Missile Dropkick! ONE! TWO! THR – Roode kicked out. Young ran off the ropes, but Roode caught him with a Double R Spinebuster! ONE! TWO! THR – Young kicked out. They were both on the mat for a while, but Young got up first. He tackled Roode to the ground and tried to put in the Sharpshooter, but Roode shoved him off and caught him coming back with an inside cradle! ONE! TWO! THR – Young kicked out! They both got up, but Young was visibly shaken. He calmed himself down as Roode laughed, and then he walked mindlessly toward Roode, right into a belly-to-back side slam! ONE! TWO! TH – Young kicked out! Roode immediately pulled him up and went for the Payoff, but Young kneed out. He ran off the ropes, and Roode tried the Spinebuster again, but Young countered with a falling reverse DDT! ONE! TWO! THR – Roode kicked out! Young pulled him up and tried the Spike Piledriver, but Roode pulled his legs out from under him, and HE locked in the Sharpshooter! He shouted about how he was the best fucking Canadian in this company while Young screamed in pain. After putting up a big fight, he FINALLY made it to the ropes. Roode pulled him up and went for the Payoff, but Young spun out. He lifted Roode up for the Death Valley Driver, but Roode countered with a crucifix pin! ONE! TWO! THRE – YOUNG KICKED OUT! They both got up, and Roode immediately kicked him in the gut, and he nailed the Payoff! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Robert Roode (12:50)

Robert Roode celebrated up the ramp as Eric Young got up, pissed off, in the ring.

Tomko was backstage and he told Rhino that he was looking to move on to the TNA Championship. Rhino gave a “been there, done that” and told Tomko good luck, then scoffed and walked off.

The James Gang walked into Jarrett’s office, and Nash asked where he was, and they said that he already left the arena. Jarrett said that Tomko needs to be stopped before he gets going too much, and Nash said he could keep him in place. Jarrett looked skeptical, and said that he could probably put something together.

A hype video played of the long-standing issues between Abyss and Raven, and how Daniels recently got involved by persuading Ravarian to join him.

The Enlightened came down with Daniels and Matt Morgan came down with Abyss, but before the match even started, Raven made the ref send them all to the back. After a long argument about it, the ref agreed, and everyone was sent to the back.

Match 4: Abyss vs Raven vs Christopher Daniels
Abyss went right after Raven, but he bailed to the outside pretty quickly. Daniels attacked Abyss from behind and managed to hit a dropkick to the back of his leg that sent him to his knees. Raven climbed back in and dropped him with a DDT, then locked up with Daniels. They fought for control for a while, and Daniels managed to get it after going to the mat. Raven fought back with some elbows, and he came off the ropes with a spinning wheel kick! He pulled Daniels up and tried the Even Flow, but Daniels shoved him off, right into a big boot from Abyss, and he rolled to the outside. Daniels charged at Abyss, but he walked right into a sidewalk slam. Abyss signaled for the Black Hole Slam, and he tossed Daniels into the ropes, but Raven pulled him to the outside to prevent it. Abyss climbed out of the ring and ran at Raven, but he used a drop toehold to send him right into the ring steps! He turned around, and Daniels tackled him back first into the steps as well! Raven held his back in pain, and Daniels followed up by stomping away at it. He rolled Raven into the ring and followed up with some suplexes to work the back, with several nearfalls in there. He finally locked in an Abdominal Stretch and held it for a while, and he didn’t see Abyss come in behind him! Abyss grabbed Daniels from behind, but Daniels kept the hold locked in. He lifted BOTH men up, and nailed them BOTH with a fucking pump handle slam!!! He covered Raven! ONE! TWO! THRE – Raven kicked out! He quickly covered Daniels! ONE! TWO! THR – He kicked out too! He grabbed them both by the throats and pulled them up, but they both kicked him to get loose, and then worked together to hit a vertical suplex on the big man! Raven went to cover, but Daniels pulled him off, and the two got in a slugfest! Daniels got the better after a throat chop, and he went for the Angel’s Wings, but Raven spun out and hit a piledriver! ONE! TWO! THRE – Abyss broke it up! Raven and Abyss got up and traded blows, and Raven hung in for a while, but Abyss eventually gained an edge. Raven tried a desperation discus clothesline, but Abyss blocked it and grabbed Raven by the throat! He lifted him up, BUT RAVEN COUNTERED MIDAIR INTO THE EVEN FLOW! ONE! TWO! THRE – DANIELS BROKE IT UP! He immediately picked up Raven and planted him with the Last Rites! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Christopher Daniels (9:35)

Christopher Daniels celebrated in the ring until Elix Skipper, Jimmy Rave, and Frankie Kazarian came down to celebrate with him, and then they carried him on their shoulders to the back.

Video of 2CN beating AMW in a non-title match on iMPACT played.

Match 5: Kevin Nash/America’s Most Wanted vs 3 Crazy Negroes
Hey, fuck you, Kevin Nash. He pretty much refused to get in at all, but he was perfectly willing to bark orders. This was a fairly formulaic tag team match, but it was AMW who kept getting isolated because all three of the Negroes worked perfectly in sync with one another. Booker T whipped out the Flying Missile Dropkick on Harris, but Nash ran in and broke it up before the three. He and Booker started trading big blows, and soon everybody was in the ring! Lethal almost got leveled by a double clothesline by AMW, but he ducked, and they hit Nash! Momentarily distracted, Booker and Creed delivered stereo dropkicks to send AMW to the outside! All three Negroes were in the ring alone, AND WE GOT A GODDAMN TRIPLE SPIN-A-ROONIE BLACK PEOPLE ARE AWESOME OMG. Nash came in and leveled Creed and Lethal from behind with a double clothesline, and he and Booker started trading blows! Nash’s big clubs eventually got the better, and he sent Booker T into the ropes, but he came off with a flying forearm smash! Nash staggered up, AND BOOKED NAILED THE AXE KICK! Harris got in, and Booker T tried a roundhouse, but Harris ducked it and connected with a Full Nelson Slam! But he turned around into a springboard clothesline from Creed! Creed got up and Storm tried a Back Cracker, but Lethal held Creed up to block it, and Storm hit the mat. He stumbled up and Lethal planted him with a pendulum backbreaker, leaving him open for Creed to hit a standing leg drop! Lethal went up top, but Harris stopped him. He tried to fight him into a Superplex, but Creed grabbed him from behind and hit a GERMAN SUPLEX on the big man~! Storm was starting to get to his feet, but Booker T met him with a Superkick! He hit the mat, and Lethal dove off with the Lethal Elbow! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winners via pinfall: 3 Crazy Negroes (14:04)

Lethal and Creed celebrated in the ring, having just pinned the tag team champions again, and Booker T came in to join then. Chris Harris helped James Storm up in the ring, and they stared across at the Negroes, but then offered their hands, and the shake was accepted! Kevin Nash got up on the outside and he was irate. He climbed in to the ring and started yelling at the tag team champions, and they looked at each other, AND THEN TURNED AND PUNCHED HIM IN THE FAZE~! They picked Kevin Nash up, and nailed him with the Death Sentence! The crowd cheered the tag champions on as they backed up the ramp with the Negroes.

Alex Shelley cut a promo backstage saying that he put away Chris Sabin for good, and now he can finally move on to establish himself as the greatest singles wrestler that this company has ever seen. First stop is the X-Division Champion, and shutting down the “hardest-hitting” fighter in TNA.

Match 6: Low Ki[c] vs Alex Shelley w/ Jimmy Jacobs [X-Division Championship]
They went at it on the mat for a long while, and both guys looked really good with their reversals and whatnot. Shelley ended up getting frustrated and he rolled out of the ring to regroup. When he came back in, Ki immediately schooled him on the mat, and now Shelley was really flustered, so he shot in a thumb to the eye. He began targeting the head and neck of the champion, but it didn’t last too long before Low Ki started to brutalize him with his stiff strikes and kicks. Shelley bumped big and tried to climb to the outside again, but Ki caught him in the ropes and put him in the Bite of the Dragon until the count of four. He pulled him back into the ring and knocked him around some more, but he managed to catch a charging Low Ki with a boot to the jaw, and then came out with an enzuigiri from the corner. Ki stutter-stepped, and Shelley followed up with a Straight Jacket Brainbuster! ONE! TWO! THR – Ki kicked out. Shelley followed up by going back to the head and neck, now even more damaged by the kick and brainbuster. He whipped out some pushup facebusters just to be a dick, and the crowd was totally against him by that point. Shelley tried a backpack stunner, but Ki fought out with vicious elbows to the back of the head. Ki came off the ropes and tried dropkick, but Shelley moved, and immediately pounced and tried to lock in the Border City Stretch, but Ki quickly fought to the ropes before he could get it in. Shelley pulled him up, but Low Ki exploded with elbows, and then nailed him with a big roundhouse! Shelley fell back into the corner and Ki squashed him with a Koppou Kick! ONE! TWO! THR – Shelley got an arm up! As Shelley lifted up off the mat, Ki came off the ropes with a Shining Wiza – NO! BLACK MAGIC~! ONE! TWO! THRE – Shelley kicked out! Ki signaled for the end and then tried the Ki Krusher, but Shelley blocked it by hooking his leg. Ki tried to elbow downward to Shelley’s head, but Shelley caught his arm, tackled him down to the mat, AND LOCKED IN THE BORDER CITY STRETCH!!! Ki struggled for a while, but Shelley kept him away from the ropes, so Ki had to fight to turn himself over, and he started punching Shelley in the face with his free arm! Shelley loosened the hold, so Ki slipped out, shoved Shelley under him, AND HE LOCKED IN THE DRAGON CLUTCH!!! Shelley eventually went to the arm that he just targeted with the BCS, and Ki let the hold go, and aided his arm. Shelley got up, and Ki turned around into a Fisherman Neckbreaker! ONE! TWO! THRE – Ki kicked out! Shelley got up and measured Low Ki, and tried a Superkick, but Ki ducked it, ran to the opposite ropes, and tried a springboard clothesline, BUT SHELLEY SUPERKICKED HIM OUT OF MIDAIR! ONE! TWO! THRE – NO! LOW KI KICKED OUT! Shelly was irate and he argued with the ref, but he turned back to pick up Low Ki. He tried the Shellshock, but Ki spun out and hit a Dragon Suplex, holding the bridge! ONE! TWO! THRE – Shelley kicked out! Both men were down, and when they got back up, they traded blows in the middle of the ring. Low Ki got the better of it with his big kicks, but Shelley went to the eye, and then sent Ki into the ropes. The champion came back with a crossbody, but Shelley ducked, AND LOW KI CONNECTED WITH THE REFEREE! HE’S DOWN! BAH GAWD THERE’S NO REF! Low Ki turned around and Shelley tried to punt him in the crotch, but Ki caught his leg and hit a step-over wheel kick! He got up, AND JIMMY JACOBS BASHED HIM IN THE FACE WITH THE X-DIVISION TITLE!!! He shook the ref to life, and slid out of the ring! ONE! … TWO! … THRE – NO! LOW KI KICKED OUT!!! Jacobs was already celebrating on the outside, and he was in complete awe when Low Ki kicked out, but he shouted for Shelley to take advantage. Winner via pinfall and NEW TNA X-Division Champion: Alex Shelley!!! (17:48)

He then stood up and rose his hands in the air as Jacobs strapped the belt around his waist, amidst all the boos. They celebrated up the ramp as Low Ki slowly got to his feet in the ring, and he was PISSED.

Backstage, Booker T, Jay Lethal, and Consequences Creed were celebrating and Booker T said that they definitely deserved a tag title shot now, and 2CN looked most pleased. Lethal said they should go to Chili’s down the road to celebrated, and Creed agreed on account of it being the new country club.

A huge hype video played going over the long-standing issues between Kurt Angle and Mick Foley, especially heating up once Planet Jarrett came together.

Match 7: Kurt Angle vs Mick Foley
Old Man Foley started out with a head of steam and pinballed Angle around to the delight of the crowd, but he clearly started to slow down, and he walked right into a big belly-to-belly. Angle was ruthless in his beatdown, not really having much of a strategy, but just tearing about the one-time expert brawler. He went for the Triple Germans, but Foley blocked the last one and hit a Stunner! ONE! TWO! THR – Angle kicked out! They both got up and Angle tried a clothesline, but Foley ducked and came back with the punch, punch, punch, BANG BANG, CACTUS CLOTHESLINE SENDS THEM BOTH OUTSIDE OF THE RING! Foley was no clearly in his element, and he looked like a maniac beating Angle around the floor. He specifically used his surroundings to pinpoint the head and neck of the Olympic gold medalist, highlighted by a running swinging neckbreaker on unforgiving floor! He rolled Angle back in and immediately went for the Double-Arm DDT, but Angle dropped down and grabbed Foley’s ankle! He dragged him to the middle of the ring and pried on the ankle, but Foley finally managed to make it to the ropes. He limped up and walked right into an Olympic Slam attempt, but Foley blocked it and hit a hip toss, then came off the ropes with a senton! ONE! TWO! TH – Angle got an arm up! Foley pulled him up and tried the Double-Arm DDT, but Angle again dropped and grabbed the ankle! This time Foley rolled through and pushed him into the ropes, and caught him on the way back with the Double-Arm DDT! ONE! TWO! THRE – NO! ANGLE KICKED OUT! Foley couldn’t believe it, but then he got a smirk across his face, AND HE PULLED OUT MR. SOCKO! He waited for Angle to get up, and he synched it in! Angle flailed around, but he managed to get to the ropes. Foley went after him, but Angle dumped him into the corner, making his head nail the steel post! Foley stumbled backward, and Angle nailed the Triple Germans! He pulled down the straps and locked in the ankle lock, and Foley fought it for a while, but eventually he had to tap!
Winner via submission: Kurt Angle (14:03)

As Angle celebrated in the ring, Jeff Jarrett came in and congratulated him. He then instructed Angle to pick Foley up, and then he grabbed a steel chair from ringside! The ref tried to stop him, but Jarrett threatened to fire him if he got involved. He brought in the chair and CREAMED Foley with it! He set it on the mat, and then nailed Foley with the Stroke on it! Angle and Jarrett celebrated, and Jarrett had Angle put the ankle lock back on Foley! A now-bloody Foley writhed around in pain, and Jarrett grabbed the steel chair, and started bashing Foley over the head with it! After six big chair shots, Foley seemed to pass out, so Angle let go of the ankle lock. Commentary was really silent to sell the brutality, and all you could hear was the boos as Angle and Foley celebrated up the ramp.

Backstage, AJ Styles was lacing his boots, and Earl Hebner ran up and told him what just happened. Styles looked concerned, but said he needed to focus on his match since it was next.

Mick Foley was seen being loaded onto an ambulance.

Commentary talked about Foley being taken out, and how it really shakes things up in TNA. They segued into how one thing doesn’t change: WRESTLING~! They talk about how AJ Styles pretty much defines professional wrestling, and how he’s done a great job in representing TNA as world champion. They discuss last month’s awesome wrestling match with RVD, and how the following ladder match is sure to be a classic.

Hype video of how we got to Styles vs RVD II.

Match 8: AJ Styles[c] vs Rob Van Dam [TNA Championship – Ladder Match]
There was a little bit of word-trading at the beginning, but they patched it up with a handshake to start it off. They got right into a lockup and spent a good bit fight for control. Styles got his dropkick sequence off, and he immediately went for the Styles Clash! RVD slithered out of it and was cautious to lockup again, but they did. This time, Van Dam sent Styles into the ropes, and when he came back, RVD tried a Superkick! But Styles held on to the ropes to prevent running into it. Styles was cautious this time, but they did lock up again, and ended up in the corner. Van Dam shot Styles to the opposite side and charged at him, but Styles countered with a headscissors, and he spun RVD to the outside! Styles ran off the ropes and came back with a baseball slide, but RVD moved out of the way, and then nailed Styles with a roundhouse on the floor! RVD went to get a ladder from on the ramp, but Styles ran from behind and tackled him to the ground! They brawled back down the ramp and into the ring, where Styles got the advantage and started batting the challenger around. He went to the top rope, but Van Dam was up and he crotched Styles at the top, then climbed up and hit a big Superplex! Both men were down, and they eventually rolled to the outside, but on opposite sides. They both pulled up the ring apron and they each grabbed a ladder from underneath, and slid back into the ring with them. DUELING LADDERS~! They kept ramming into each other with the ladders, and finally Styles knocked RVD’s out of his hands. He charged at him, but Van Dam hit a dropkick that drove the ladder into Styles’ face! RVD laid Styles on the ladder and went for the Rolling Thunder, BUT STYLES MOVED! As Van Dam held at his back, Styles grabbed him and hit the Rack Bomb! He then grabbed one of the ladders and set it up, and began climbing(there are 5 steps to the ladder, duh)! 1…2…Van Dam got up and pushed the ladder over, and Styles leg got caught inside it when it fell! That looked nasty! RVD took the opportunity to destroy Styles’ leg, using the ladder at his disposal. After a good stretch of Styles trying to fight back, but RVD being brutal in his legwork with the ladder, Van Dam decided to dump Styles to the outside and set up a ladder in the middle of the ring! 1…2…3…Styles was in the ring, and he climbed up as well. Both guys traded blows at the top, and Styles started to rage with his elbows, so he got the better. He went up one more rung and reached up, but Van Dam punched him in the gut. Styles went back the elbows, and then banged RVD’s face into the ladder, AND HE HIT A SUNSET FLIP POWERBOMB OFF THE TOP~! Both guys were down, and when they got back up, they went back and forth, both visibly tired and Styles still favoring the leg, without attempting to climb up the ladder too too much. The champion nearly hit the Styles Clash again, but RVD pulled his legs out from under him and catapulted him, right into the ladder! Styles bounced back, right into a big Superkick! The impact sent the ladder out of the ring, so RVD went out to get it, but as he was sliding it into the ring, Styles exploded with a baseball slide that sent it right into RVD’s face! Styles was down for a while, but he eventually rolled toe the outside and brawled with RVD some, and he ended up planting him with a Brainbuster on the outside! He grabbed the ladder, set it up, but was rudely interrupted by a fucking flying steel chair. RVD chucked it at the champion, and he was out, but still on the ladder, so RVD springboarded in and took him off with a spinning wheel kick! They continued beating the shit out of each other with the ladder, and now the steel chair. RVD hit the corner-to-corner Van Terminator and nearly got the belt, but Styles stopped it with a REVERSE FRANKENSTEINER OFF THE TOP!!!! He was pretty much dead, but he climbed up, slowly but surely. His fingertips were on the belt, but RVD crawled into the ring and tipped the ladder over, AND AJ STYLES’ LEG GOT CAUGHT IN THE ROPES!!! The champion was all tied up by the leg, and it was too hurt to do much of anything. Van Dam set up the ladder and started climbing! ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIV – NO~! BAH GAWD NO! STYLES GOT FREE AND SHOVED THE BOTTOM OF THE LADDER OUT FROM UNDER IT~! Both men were down! The carnage! The carnage! They were slow to get up, and even slower to trade blows. RVD started to gain the advantage with his right hands, but Styles exploded with a discus clothesline. He put the ladder back upright and climbed up himself. ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FI – Van Dam was up too, and he started climbing up as well! They traded blows! They traded kicks! Elbows! Punches! Neither man would give an inch! Styles raged with elbows, and Van Dam started teetering! Styles pulled his body over the top of the ladder, and he put his head between his legs? What’s he doing?! He lifted Van Dam up, AND HE HIT THE STYLES CLASH OFF THE TOP, TO THE FLOOR BELOW~!~!~! Styles fought to his feet with all he had and inched up the ladder. ONE! TWO! THREE! Van Dam was stirring FOUR! He tried to climb up, but he couldn’t get to his feet! FIVE! Styles reached up, AND HE UNHOOKED THE TITLE BELT!
Winner and STILL TNA World Champion: AJ Styles (22:49)

Styles held the title up at the top of the ladder to celebrate, and he eventually climbed down and celebrated around the ring. RVD got up and looked disappointed, but he offered his hand to AJ, who accepted. RVD gracefully went to the back, allowing Styles to celebrate his big victory on his own for the crowd.

Commentary welcomed everybody to the show and ran down what happened at Final Resolution.

Match 1: Doug Williams w/ Dave Taylor vs Averno w/ Mephisto
They went to the mat at first, and Averno showed off some fancy lucha stuff, but Williams eventually gained control by putting in random submission moves and shouting that he’s the best technical wrestler in the world. Averno came back with flippity stuff, and he managed to toss Williams around a bit too. He planted him with a body slam and went up top, but Taylor hopped on the apron for the distraction. Williams crotched him at the top and then hit crazy jumping double knees to the bent over Averno. He flopped to the mat, so Williams pulled him to the center and locked in the Britannic Bow and Arrow, and Averno had to tap.
Winner via submission: Doug Williams (6:38)

After the match, Homicide and Dave Taylor celebrated until Homicide came out, his ribs taped up. He climbed in the ring and started attacking them both, but obviously the numbers game caught up and the momentum turned. Williams ended up putting Homicide in the Bow and Arrow, and Dave Taylor hit a top-rope elbow to his exposed ribs again! The Redcoats celebrated up the ramp as Homicide held his ribs in the ring.

--Commercial Break--

Homicide limped around backstage and told Lauren that he was going to get back at the Redcoats. She asked how, and he grinned and said that he had some help on the way.

America’s Most Wanted came out, and they called out 2CN. They told the Negroes that, since 2CN won on Sunday, they’re going to give them a tag team title show. Jeff Jarrett came out and said that an AMW/2CN tag title match would NOT be happening. Instead, there would be a tag team tournament over the next few weeks to determine who would face AMW at Genesis. This week: 2CN vs Nash/Waltman and Tomko/Rhino vs The James Gang.

Jarrett then sent everybody to the back, and he said that he had big news. He said that he has officially named Kurt Angle the number one contender to the TNA Championship, and just like Samoa Joe, Mick Foley is gone, so nobody can stop him. He said that, to build to the match, there would be a Pick Your Poison series over the next two weeks. This week, Angle will pick Styles’ opponent and, in the interest of fairness, next week Styles will pick Angle’s opponent. That drew out Kurt Angle who ran down Styles, ran up himself, and then announced that tonight, AJ Styles would be facing Abyss!

Commentary said that up next, Low Ki is using his rematch clause against Alex Shelley!

--Commercial Break--

Match 2: Alex Shelley[c] vs Low Ki [X-Division Championship]
Low Ki attacked Shelley right after the bell and assaulted him with his kicks and chops. Shelley kept trying to make space, but Ki wouldn’t let up. Jacobs grabbed his leg from the outside, so Ki climbed out of the ring and chased him around! He finally caught him and tossed him headfirst into the steel barricade, but then Shelley blindsided him with a baseball slide. He threw him back into the ring and targeted the head and neck from Sunday, but Ki got back into it after scouting the enzuigiri from the corner, and nailing the now-champion with a big roundhouse! Shelley flopped out of the corner, and Low Ki followed up with a Dragon Suplex! He dragged Shelley to the middle of the ring and locked in the Dragon Clutch, but Jacobs rushed the ring and nailed Low Ki in the back of the skull with the X-Division Championship! The ref called it, robviously.
Winner via disqualification: Low Ki (6:58)

Jacobs pulled Shelley out of the ring and they escaped up the ramp with the belt, leaving a PISSED Low Ki alone in the ring.

Backstage, Jarrett told Robert Roode that he’d also be in the tag title tournament, because the more teams that Planet Jarrett has in the tournament, the better. Roode asked who his partner would be, and Jarrett shoved the camera out of the room.

--Commercial Break--

Commentary announced that next week’s tag tournament matches would be Abyss/Morgan vs RVD/Sabu and Team Canada vs Roode/???. They also announced Low Ki vs Jimmy Jacobs for next week, and if Ki wins, he gets another title shot.

Match 3: Tyson Tomko/Rhino vs The James Gang [Tag Team #1 Contenders Tournament, Quarter-Final]
Tomko and Rhino threw around the former awesome tag team at the start, but the veterans managed to get a brief segment of isolation on Rhino after using cheap tricks. They worked over his back pretty well, and BG went for the Pumphandle Drop, but Rhino powered out and hit a belly-to-back suplex! Kip tried to stop the tag, but Rhino shoved him off and got in Tomko, who cleaned house. He leveled BG with TEH BEWT~ and picked him up for the Argentine Neckbreaker, but Kip attacked him from behind. Tomko fought him off with big right hands, and then shoved him right into a GORE~! Tomko turned back to BG, hit the Argentine Neckbreaker, and covered for the win.
Winners via pinfall: Tyson Tomko/Rhino (4:04)

Tomko and Rhino celebrated in the ring, and Nash and Waltman were watching from backstage, most displeased.

Backstage, Raven was with Lauren, and he called out to Daniels, and told him that he picked the wrong guy to mess with.

--Commercial Break--

Match 4: Christopher Daniels w/ The Enlightened vs Chad Collyer
Collyer got to show off some of his professional wrestling background, but it wasn’t sufficient to hang with Daniels. He caught Collyer of the ropes with the Blue Thunder Driver, and then picked him up for the Last Rites, but NO! Collyer spun out and hit a bridging German Suplex! ONE! TWO! THRE – Daniels JUST got an arm up! They both got up, and Daniels smacked him across the face, and then dropped him with a leg lariat. He pulled him up and hit the Angel’s Wings and that was all she wrote.
Winner via pinfall: Christopher Daniels (3:49)

Daniels and Co. celebrated in the ring until Raven ran down with a steel chair! He started swinging, but they all escaped and backed up the ramp.

Commentary hyped a star-studded Xplosion this week, featuring RVD, Sabu, Robert Roode, Los Infernales, The Enlightened, and the Knockouts, including a Knockout title rematch between Raisha Saeed and Daisy Haze! Don’t miss it!

--Commercial Break--

Jarrett called Chuck Taylor into his office and said it was dirty, so Taylor would have to stay the night to clean it. Taylor said it was Christmas Eve, so he should be with his family, but Jarrett said too bad. :(

Match 5: Petey Williams w/ Eric Young vs Volador
Funny spotty match, which went back-and-forth the whole time. Williams used his power to toss around the luchadore, but he constantly fought back and kept getting nearfalls with unique pinning techniques. Ending came when Williams went for the Border’s Edge, but Volador slipped behind and came off the ropes with a springboard hurricanrana. He picked up Petey Pump and nailed a Wheelbarrow Facebuster for a somewhat surprising win.
Winner via pinfall: Volador (6:32)

Volador celebrated in the ring, and Eric Young just shook his head as Petey got up in the ring. Young grabbed a microphone and told Petey that they need a win next week, so he needs to step up his game.

AJ Styles was with Lauren, and he said that he’s had great matches as TNA Champion so far, and he’s not going to let his reign come to an end due to Kurt Angle.

Backstage, Nash/Waltman and Lethal/Creed walked backstage, en route to their match.

--Commercial Break--

AMW were seen watching from the back.

Match 6: Kevin Nash/Sean Waltman vs 2 Crazy Negroes w/ Booker T [Tag Team #1 Contenders Tournament, Quarter-Final]
Planet Jarrett/Main Event Mafia/NWO/The Kliq jumped our African friends right from the start and beat them down some. They fought back after Lethal blocked a spin kick from Waltman, and he hit his hip toss-cartwheel-dropkick combination. He and Creed cleaned house a little bit with their FIRE~, but Nash attacked them from behind with a double clothesline to lay them out. He officially tagged in and beat Creed around some, and Waltman got in at certain points to briefly whip out his kicks, but this was mostly Nash using his power moves to work over the back. Creed started to make a comeback with some right hands, but Nash caught him off the ropes with a big sidewalk slam! ONE! TWO! THRE – Creed got an arm up! Nash picked him up and tried a chokeslam, but Creed shot up and hit a leg lariat, then made the hot tag! Lethal came in and delivered dropkicks to both opponents, and he topped it off with a Double Axe Handle off the top! ONE! TWO! THRE – Nash kicked out! Lethal picked him up and tried the Lethal Combination, but Waltman ran in and broke it up with wheel kick! Creed ran in, but Nash intercepted him with a big boot, and then tossed him outside! Nash turned around, but Lethal leveled him with a springboard dropkick! He went to cover, but Waltman intercepted him with the Syxx-Factor!!! Nash crawled over and covered! ONE! TWO! THRE – CREED BROKE IT UP! Waltman went for the Comedown on him, but Creed spun out and hit the Monti Fisto! He tossed Waltman out of the ring, and followed up with a suicide dive! Nash and Lethal got up, and Nash tried the Jackknife Powerbomb, but Lethal countered midair into a hurricanrana! He went up top, and came off with the Lethal Elbow! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winners via pinfall: 2 Crazy Negroes (9:12)

The Negroes celebrated in the ring, and Nash and Waltman irritably walked to the back.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Nash told Roode that he NEEDS to win next week so that Planet Jarrett is still in the tournament. Roode said confidently that, with his partner, that wouldn’t be a problem.

Jeff Jarrett and Kurt Angle came down to ringside, and they took West and Cornette’s headsets.

Match 7: AJ Styles vs Abyss w/ Matt Morgan [Non-Title]
Big man vs little man. I mean, it’s Christmas morning. Do you REALLY want me to go in-depth with this at this point? Abyss beat him around a lot, but it’s AJ Fucking Styles, so he always came back with his fieriness. He tried a springboard elbow smash, but Abyss killed him with a lariat in the middle of the air.

--Commercial Break--

Abyss was still beating him down, going after his back like crazy. Styles whipped out the Pele and tried the Styles Clash, but Abyss was too strong to take it, and he countered with a double-arm slam! ONE! TWO! THREE! He picked Styles up and tried the Black Hole Slam, but Styles swung through and turned it into a reverse DDT! ONE! TWO! THRE – Abyss got an arm up. Styles tried to pull him up for a Brainbuster, but Abyss held his weight. He went for a suplex, but Styles floated over and hit a roundhouse to the back of Abyss’ head! He went to his knees, and Styles came off the ropes with a Projectile Hurricanrana, because Amazing Red is only on Xplosion, so he won’t mind. Styles went up top and nailed the Spiral Tap, and the end. Merry Christmas.
Winner via pinfall: AJ Styles (13:08)

Styles celebrated in the ring with his belt while Jarrett and Angle completely shat on him over commentary. Angle finally stood up from the table and motioned for the belt, but Styles shouted that Angle wasn’t getting anywhere near it.

The Good: Definitely enjoyed alot of the action described in this one. It's amazing considering I last checked out your BTB back when I tried my TNA 2005 BTB and you were just starting this one, and how far this thing as changed in its landscape since that time. Doug Williams match was good, although I'm not a fan of Los Infernales in any form. I see Abyss is still relevent as a monster, which is good. 2NC had some good tag team action, and I enjoyed how the focus on alot of the promos was alot of suspense in regards to who Homicide and Roode have planned for their back ups with respective storylines.

The Bad: I felt Planet Jarrett coming out during commentary of the Main Event was rather pointless. A run in is a run in, didn't need them shitting on AJ from the booth. Not a fan of Volador either, maybe I'm just racist against Luchadors. But Petey losing made me sad face. And having no focus on your knockouts division at all beyond what happened on Xplosion is very underwhelming. Might as well not have a knockouts division since the show is stacked enough as is.

The Ugly: Kevin Nash and Sean Waltman in the company as a tag team......*shudder*. Also, it looks like you have a tad too many people in the roster. As TNA in real life only has 3 matches at the maximum for Xplosion tapings, and only usually shares one or two of them via the web feed each week. But you have six matches on your Xplosions. That's big enough to run its own 2 hour event as a B-Show, let alone just getting six lines of text saying the action. So I'd probably like to see the roster downsized a bit so there's not so much filler needed.

Commentary runs down the card of RVD/Sabu vs Abyss/Morgan, Team Canada vs Roode/???, Low Ki vs Jacobs, Knockouts action, and more! Also, Don West was wearing a New Year’s hat.

Footage from Xplosion of Awesome Kong returning and attacking Raisha Saeed played.

Match 1: Raisha Saeed/Rhaka Khan vs Daisy Haze/Awesome Kong
Awesome Kong being back and wanting to kill Raisha Saeed is pretty much the story here. Saeed kept avoiding getting in, until it was against Daisy Haze, and Khan had done an adequate job in beating her down. Saeed worked over Haze’s back, but the former champion still had a lot of heat with Saeed, and she came back with aggression. She nailed a bunch of dropkicks, and then came off the top rope with a crossbody! ONE! TWO! THRE – Saeed kicked out. Haze tagged in Kong, but before Kong could get her former manager, she tagged out to Khan. After a brief power-off, Kong got the better and killed Khan with a flying lariat! She picked her up and nailed the Awesome Bomb, and covered for the win.
Winners via pinfall: Daisy Haze/Awesome Kong (4:58)

Daisy Haze and Awesome Kong celebrated in the ring as Raisha Saeed escaped up the ramp with her belt.

Robert Roode was walking backstage with a HUGE grin on his face.

--Commercial Break--

Eric Young and Petey Williams came out first. Robert Roode came down, still ecstatic, and he got in the ring alone. He grabbed a microphone and introduced his tag team partner . . . MONTY BROWN~!

Match 2: Team Canada vs Robert Roode/Monty Brown [Tag Team #1 Contenders Tournament, Quarter-Final]
Young wanted Roode at the start, but he got Monty Brown instead. Young tried to use his technical ability to ground him, but it was no use. Brown tossed Young around a bunch, and when Young forced-tagged Petey in, it was even worse. Petey tried to match Brown’s power even, and that of course didn’t end well for the lightweight. He did manage to hit a side legsweep on Brown, but Monty caught him off the ropes with a powerslam. Roode got in, and the two used quick tags to isolate the smaller guy, and Roode started to get really cocky. Petey floated over a Roode suplex and NEARLY got the tag, but Roode pulled him back in and planted him with a swinging neckbreaker. Brown insisted on getting in, and he threw Petey around some more, AND HE CALLED FOR THE POUNCE! Monty threw him against the ropes, but he held on to prevent whipping back. Brown charged, but Petey bridged him to the outside and followed up with a plancha! All four guys brawled on the outside as it went to a break.

--Commercial Break--

It settled back down with Young and Roode ending up as the legal men. Young tried a quick Death Valley Driver, but Roode elbowed out and came off the ropes with a Harley Race Knee! ONE! TWO! THRE – Young got an arm up! Roode went for the Payoff, but Young kneed out like crazy. He ran off the ropes, but he went straight into the Double R Spinebuster! ONE! TWO! THRE – Young kicked out! He pulled him up and tried the Roode Awakening, but Young slipped out and dove to tag in Petey! He springboarded in right away with a hurricanrana, holding the pin! ONE! TWO! THRE – Roode barely got out! Petey immediately tried to fight him into the Sharpshooter, but Roode shoved him into the ropes and caught him coming back with a small package! ONE! TWO! THRE – Petey got out! Monty threatened to come into the ring, and it distracted Petey long enough for Roode to hit the Northern Lariat! ONE! TWO! THRE – YOUNG BROKE IT UP! He picked up Roode and tried he Spike Piledriver, but he was LEVELED by a lariat from Monty Brown! Monty tossed him out of the ring and went back to his corner to get the tag from Roode. He climbed into the ring and tried the Alpha Bomb (scoop-lift powerbomb), but Williams turned it into a sunset flip! ONE! TWO! THRE – Monty kicked out! They both got up, and Monty immediately attacked with an exploder suplex! He picked him up and threw him against the ropes, and . . . POUNCE~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~! PERIOD! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Robert Roode/Monty Brown (9:46)

Robert Roode and Monty Brown celebrated in the ring, especially Roode, who looked like he just won the Super Bowl. Meanwhile, Eric Young yelled at Petey Williams for losing the match.

Backstage, Alex Shelley was with Jimmy Jacobs, and Shelley said that Jacobs would beat Low Ki tonight, and end his chances at another X-Division title shot.

--Commercial Break--

Commentary mentioned that, if Low Ki wins here, not only does he get an X-Division title shot, but Jacobs will be banned from ringside in that match.

Match 3: Low Ki vs Jimmy Jacobs w/ Alex Shelley
Ki raged from the star, but Jacobs managed to get in some good offense after countering a roundhouse into a legsweep/running knee combination. He tried to work over the head and neck of the former champion, but he fought back with his big backhand chops, and he even pulled out the Mongolian chop! Yeah! He hit a big gutbuster, and covered! ONE! TWO! TH – Jacobs kicked out. Low kept going after the midsection, continuously knocking the air out of Jimmy Jacobs. He eventually went for the Dragon Clutch, but Jacobs scurried to the ropes to break it up. He climbed out of the ring and onto the apron, and Ki suplexed him in! Low Ki went up top and waited for Jacobs to get to his feet, but when he did, Alex Shelley slid in and slapped Jacobs in the face! Wtf. The ref called it, obv.
Winner via disqualification: Jimmy Jacobs (5:03)

Shelley grabbed his title and escaped up the ramp, and Low Ki was PISSED. He grabbed Jacobs inside the ring and nailed the Ki Krusher!

Backstage, Roode was with Monty Brown, and he said that now they have to worry about either Abyss/Morgan or RVD/Sabu. Monty said that neither team would be a problem. Roode agreed, but said that Abyss/Morgan would be a problem, so they should do something about that.

Homicide was walking backstage with his ribs taped.

--Commercial Break--

Chuck Taylor asked Lauren where the TNA New Year’s Party was, and she said at Don West’s bachelor pad, but to be sure to bring his invitation, because he’ll need it to get in. Taylor frowned and said he never got an invitation :(

Backstage, AJ Styles announced that he had selected who Kurt Angle would face tonight . . . SAMOA JOE~! Jeff Jarrett came up and said that Styles is a hick dumbass, because Samoa Joe no longer works for TNA. Since Styles wasted his choice, he and Angle would decide on an opponent for Angle, and announce it later.

Homicide came out to the ring and he called The Redcoats little pussies. That drew them out, and Homicide challenged them to come into the ring. They obliged, and Homicide started throwing punches! He did fine at first, but then the numbers game caught up to him. The Redcats started beating him down, stomping at his ribs, until . . .

SHAWN HERNANDEZ RAN OUT~! HOLY SHIT!!!!

Hernandez rushed into the ring and killed Dave Taylor with a lariat. Williams ran at him, and got a huge leg lariat for his efforts! The Redcoats sprinted from the ring and Hernandez helped Homicide to his feet, and they celebrated in the ring.

--Commercial Break--

Shelley apologized to Jacobs backstage for doing what he did, and Jacobs said he understood that sometimes, sacrifices have to be made. They hugged and walked it out.

From his office, Jarrett announced that, later tonight, Kurt Angle would be facing another amateur wrestler: Chad Collyer.

Match 4: Rhino w/ Tyson Tomko vs Sean Waltman w/ Kevin ★★★★
Waltman jumps Rhino before the bell and really goes after his arm, but Rhino shoves him off and catches him off the ropes with a snap powerslam. He continues the power show, but ★★★★ grabs his leg from the outside, allowing Waltman to pounce with a spinning wheel kick. He goes back to the arm, not hesitating to use the ropes to help him. Rhino fought back with big right hands and went for a powerbomb, but Waltman floated over and hit a roundhouse! He set up Rhino up for the Comedown, but Rhino spun out and tackled Waltman backward into the corner! He ran to the opposite side, and the charged with a Gore, but ★★★★ pulled Waltman out of the corner and Rhino’s shoulder hit the steel post! Rhino came out of the corner holding his arm, and Waltman hit the Syxx-Factor! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Sean Waltman (4:16)

Waltman celebrated like crazy as Tomko got in to help up Rhino. As they got up, Kevin ★★★★ climbed in and took them both out from behind with a double clothesline! He and Waltman stomped at them for a bit, but as soon as they started to fight back, they bailed and backed up the ramp. But AMW came out to the stage! They said that they didn’t want anybody getting involved in anything in a tournament to determine who would get a tag team title shot, so next week, AMW will be special enforcers in the 2CN vs Tomko/Rhino match!

--Commercial Break--

LAX was backstage together, and Hernandez told Lauren that he was back in TNA for good, and his first order of business was to help Homicide put the Redcoats in their place.

Match 5: The Enlightened [Daniels/Kaz/Rave] w/ Elix Skipper vs Volador/Los Infernales
The Enlightened jumped the luchas at the start and threw them around amongst each other to keep them down, but they all eventually came back with their lucha power. Los Infernales sent Ravarian out of the ring with stereo hurricanranas, and then Volador sent Daniels out with a tilt-a-whirl headscissors. They all flew out with suicide dives to send it to a commercial.

--Commercial Break--

Things slowed down, and Daniels was doing a good job in keeping Averno contained on the mat. He started to target his arm, and then Kaz and Rave got in to do the same. Ravarian got in at the same time and started to double team Averno. They tried a double clothesline, but he ducked it and came back with a springboard crossbody, then tagged in Volador! He cleaned house with dropkicks and hurricanranas, and then caught the Rave with a tilt-a-whirl reverse DDT! ONE! TWO! THRE – Daniels broke it up! Mephisto came in and tried a suplex, but Daniels floated over and tried a German Suplex, BUT MEPHISTO LANDED ON HIS FEET, and then hit Daniels with a reverse frankensteiner! Volador went up top and hit Rave with a flying wheel kick, just as Averno cleared out Kaz with a springboard arm drag! Volador covered Rave! ONE! TWO! THRE – Rave got an arm up! Volador tagged Averno back in, who immediately hit a snap suplex and made the cover! ONE! TWO! THRE – Kaz broke it up! Volador tackled Kaz out of the ring and they brawled along the outside. In the ring, Averno went for a scoop slam, but Rave grabbed onto his arm and fought him into the Torture Device (Scissored armbar)!! Averno struggled for a while, but Mephisto finally broke it up with a Hilo! All six men got in the ring now and exchanged/reversed big moves, until Daniels noticed Raven walking down to the ring, waving to him. The brief distraction allowed Averno to capitalize with a running bulldog to him! Rave and Kaz saw what was going on and got distracted briefly as well. Volador grabbed Kaz and hit a sleeper slam! Los Infernales then threw Jimmy Rave into the corner and nailed the Spanish Fly! Volador jumped up top and hit his Moonsault! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Volador/Los Infernales (13:38)

The luchas celebrated in the ring as The Enlightened all looked pissed off around ringside, and Raven snickered as he backed up the ramp.

Backstage, AJ Styles was talking strategy with Chad Collyer.

--Commercial Break--

Match 6: Kurt Angle vs Chad Collyer w/ AJ Styles
Angle taunted Collyer quit a bit at the start, so Collyer opened things up with a big right hand! Angle was flabbergasted (yup), and ran at Collyer, but he escaped out of the ring. Angle chased him around, and back into the ring, where he caught him by the leg and put in the ankle lock! Collyer fought to the ropes, but Angle held on to the hold for the four-count. They both got up, and Angle went right for a clothesline, but Collyer ducked and caught Angle off the ropes with a Greco-Roman takedown! He pounced on Angle and the two went at it amateur-style on the mat, and Collyer actually got the best by finishing the sequence with a Bridging German Suplex! ONE! TWO! THR – Angle got up an arm! They both got up, and Angle tried a right hand, but Collyer ducked it and connected with a Northern Lights Suplex! ONE! TWO! THR – Angle kicked out! Angle hopped up and immediately tried the Olympic Slam, but Collyer rolled out, and hit a T-Bone Suplex! ONE! TWO! THRE – Angle JUST kicked out! Collyer pulled him up and tried another German Suplex, but Angle maneuvered to behind him and hit the Triple Germans! He pulled down the straps and locked in the ankle lock, and after a good fight, Collyer had to give up.
Winner via submission: Kurt Angle (4:46)

Angle kept the ankle lock in on Collyer, until Styles rushed the ring to chase him out.

--Commercial Break--

Match 7: Abyss/Matt Morgan vs RVD/Sabu [Tag Team #1 Contenders Tournament, Quarter-Final]
Commentary touched on the deep-seeded issues between these guys, and all four highlighted it by going right into a big brawl at the start. Abyss and Morgan starting to gain steam after some big clotheslines, and then they tossed the smaller guys around. RVD and Sabu came back after hitting stereo dropkicks off the ropes. They kicked around the bigger guys a lot, but Abyss ended up catching RVD and tossing him with a fallaway slam, and he rolled to the outside. Morgan and Abyss batted Sabu back-and-forth, and Morgan picked him up, military pressed him, and then tossed him clear out of the ring and onto RVD!

--Commercial Break--

We came back and Morgan and RVD were having a solid back-and-forth. Van Dam was a bit quicker, but Morgan made up for it in his size coupled with his athleticism. Morgan hit a big sidewalk slam and tossed RVD into the corner. He charged, but RVD got a boot up, knocking him in the jaw. RVD set him up in the corner and monkey flipped him out, then he and Sabu got in some quick tags to keep the big man down. They definitely had to work for it, but they managed to knock him down fairly often, however he was always able to fight his way out using power move after power move, without getting too tired like big men usually do. Sabu hit a springboard leg drop for a two-count and then went up top. He leapt off, but Morgan caught him by the throat and hit a chokeslam! ONE! TWO! THRE – Sabu kicked out! Morgan dragged him over to his corner, and Abyss tagged in and murderized him with monstrosity. He tried a chokeslam of his own, but Sabu scouted this one and turned it into a Tornado DDT! ONE! TWO! THR – Abyss kicked out, WITH AUTHORITY! Sabu tried to keep him down, but the monster fought up and tossed him around like a doll rag, and then leveled him with a big boot! ONE! TWO! THRE – Sabu got an arm up. Abyss was clearly fatigued but he kept clubbering Sabu. Morgan got a blind tag in just as Abyss was going for the Black Hole Slam. He tossed Sabu into the opposite ropes, but it was weak enough for Sabu to hold onto the ropes to prevent bouncing back. Abyss charged, but Sabu ducked under and kept running, AND HE RAN RIGHT INTO A FLYING CROSSBODY FROM MATT MORGAN! ONE! TWO! THRE – Sabu JUST kicked out! Morgan immediately went for the Hellevator, but Sabu elbowed out and hit a jumping DDT, then crawled over and made the hot tag! RVD brought to both big guys with his big kicks, and he finally took Abyss off his feet with a big roundhouse! He went up top and signaled for the end, but Morgan ran over and crotched him! He tried a superplex, but Sabu ran up and brought him down with a powerbomb! RVD stood up on the top and dove off with the 5 Star Frog Splash, BUT ABYSS MOVED! RVD stumbled to his feet, and Abyss hit a chokeslam! ONE! TWO! THRE – NO! RVD GOT AN ARM UP! Abyss called for another chokeslam, BUT ROBERT ROODE RAN DOWN TO DISTRACT HIM! He taunted him, and as the ref tried to get him to go away, Monty Brown snuck down through the crowd and climbed into the ring! Abyss turned around, AND MONTY BROWN HIT THE ALPHA BOMB ON THE BIG MAN!!! RVD finally got up and saw Abyss down, so he pulled up Sabu and they went to opposite corners! FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH! FLYING LEG DROP! COMB-O-NATION~! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winners via pinfall: RVD/Sabu (15:00)

RVD and Sabu celebrated in the ring. Matt Morgan slid in and helped up Abyss, and they were pissed about Roode and Monty Brown clearly getting involved, so they ran to ringside and grabbed them, and threw them into the ring! They climbed in and started beating on them, which drew out Kevin ★★★★ and Sean Waltman! Tomko and Rhino ran down to aim for them, and RVD and Sabu got involved too! The 2 Crazy Negroes ran down and got involved in the brawl, and all the teams were fighting as the show faded. BYE, HAPPY NEW YEAR~!

The Good:
Monty Brown coming back is a big plus.
Chad Collyer getting some good offense out of Kurt Angle for a respectable match was nice.
The Tag Team Tournament matches were all exciting in their own right.

The Bad:
Uhm, openly mocking AJ Styles and calling him a dumbass for choosing Samoa Joe was kind of dick. It didn’t need to be done.
Alot of stuff happened in this show, but nothing really stuck out as awesome. We had Awesome Kong, Monty Brown & Hernandez all making returns to TNA and nothing seemed that important.

The Ugly:
Rhaka Khan & “adequate” in the same sentence should never be in any self respecting BTB.
Still not a fan of the Los Infernales/Volador lucha libre stuff. But that’s why it’s in Ugly instead of Bad because it’s just my personal opinion.

TNA iMPACT: Tag Team Turmoil
iMPACT Zone
Orlando, Florida
January 7, 2010

Commentary started off the show by running down the card, including Tomko/Rhino vs 2 Crazy Negroes, RVD/Sabu vs Robert Roode/Monty Brown, Shawn Hernandez vs Dave Taylor, and a number one contender X-Division battle royal.

Match 1: RVD/Sabu vs Robert Roode/Monty Brown [Tag Team #1 Contenders Tournament, Semi-Final]
RVD and Monty started out and had a solid exchange, which Monty eventually got the better of using his power. Roode tagged in and was really cocky in all of his offense. He lazily pulled RVD up and tried a vertical suplex, but he floated over and nailed a neckbreaker! He and Sabu knocked him around for a bit, and ended up sending him out of the ring with stereo dropkicks! Monty came in and charged at them with a double clothesline, but they ducked it. Van Dam then got on his arms and knees, and Sabu leapt off him and hit Monty with a flying hurricanrana that sent them both to the outside! Roode was just getting up, so Van Dam nailed him with a corkscrew senton to send us to a break!

--Commercial Break--

Sabu was working over Roode’s neck in the ring, and he tried to put in the Camel Clutch, but Roode made it to the ropes before he could seal it in. Sabu pulled him up and tried a piledriver, but Roode back body dropped out of it! He picked up Sabu and went for a scoop slam, but Sabu floated over. He ran at the ropes and went to springboard off, but Monty ran over and clobbered him with a lariat from on the apron! Sabu folded up, so Roode ran over and tagged in the big man. Brown clubbed at Sabu, who sold it like a baby seal. He picked Sabu up and tossed him into the corner, and then charged with a big corner clothesline. He stomped at Sabu in the bottom corner and then delivered a big running knee to Sabu’s skull! He pulled him up and nailed a big gutwrench suplex, and covered! ONE! TWO! THRE – Sabu got an arm up! Roode got in and worked over Sabu back on the mat a bit, but he was never in for long before Monty got back in and killed Sabu for good stretch. Monty tossed him back to the corner and charged, but Sabu got a boot up! Monty charged again, but this time Sabu rolled out of the way! He springboarded off the ropes and hit a Tornado DDT! Monty crawled over and made the tag to Roode, but Sabu also made the hot tag! Van Dam cleaned house with his big kicks, and he topped it off with the Steamroller on Roode! ONE! TWO! THRE – Roode kicked out! Van Dam quickly went up top and hit the split-legged moonsault! ONE! TWO! THRE – Monty broke it up! Sabu came in and berated Brown with punches, and they brawled in the corner for a bit. RVD pulled up Roode, but he put a thumb to the eye and hit a quick DDT. Meanwhile, Monty pulled up Sabu, threw him against the ropes, AND HIT THE POUNCE~~~~~~~~~! Roode pulled up Van Dam and tried the Pay Off, but Van Dam spun out. He hit a quick roundhouse and then went for a springboard crossbody, but Roode ducked, and RVD hit Monty! But Robert Roode rushed and hit the Northern Lariat! He pulled up RVD and went for the Pay Off, but RVD got an inside cradle! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winners via pinfall: RVD/Sabu (13:46)

RVD and Sabu celebrated up the ramp, and Roode was in absolute shock in the ring. Monty got in, and they were both pissed off. They started to leave, but ABYSS AND MATT MORGAN CAME OUT!!! Roode looked scared shitless, but Monty was ready to fight! Monty started throwing fists with Morgan while Roode tried to escape, but Abyss caught him! The monsters beat them around some, and Morgan picked up Monty and nailed the Hellevator, and then Abyss grabbed Roode and planted him with the Shock Treatment! Abyss and Morgan celebrated up the ramp.

Jarrett and Nash were watching from backstage, and they were extremely angry. Jarrett said that it was now all of Planet Jarrett was out of the tournament, and either 2CN or Tomko/Rhino would face RVD/Sabu in the finals, and neither option is good. Nash said that one option is better than the other, and he walked off.

RVD and Sabu were still celebrating in the back when Raven walked up. Sabu almost jumped him, but RVD held him back and asked what the hell Raven wanted. Raven said he just wanted to congratulate them, and then he walked off smiling.

--Commercial Break--

Footage of Shawn Hernandez returning last week played. Commentary then announced that LAX vs The Redcoats had been added to the Genesis card.

Match 2: Shawn Hernandez w/ Homicide vs Dave Taylor w/ Doug Williams
Hernandez mauled Dave Taylor right from the start with a bunch of clotheslines. He played to the crowd a bit, and commentary hyped how excited he must be to be back in TNA. He hit a big shoulder block to Taylor in the corner, and then whipped him to the opposite side. He followed up with another shoulder, but this time Taylor moved and Hernandez busted his shoulder on the top turnbuckle! Taylor took advantage with his arm work, and he taught Hernandez a lesson or two on the mat, but Hernandez fought back with his power, AND THEN HE HIT A HURRICANRANA! Tenay marked huge for the big man doing a hurricanrana, and Cornette attributed it to the six months he spent in Mexico over the last year. He kept up the steam with big punches, and then he began to chop wildly at him, which Cornette attributed to him being in Japan for the other six months of the last year. He hit a big lariat, and then pulled him up for a one-shoulder powerbomb! ONE! TWO! THR – He got a shoulder up! Hernandez went to the apron and tried slingshot shoulder block, but Williams ran over and grabbed his leg, and he crashed to the outside of the ring! Homicide ran over and attacked Williams, and they brawled on the outside! In the ring, Taylor immediately pounced with stiff elbow shots, and then he locked in the Reg – errr, Taylor Stretch! Hernandez fought to the ropes, and Taylor had to break it. He pulled Hernandez up and tried the British Suplex, but Hernandez fought out, and he hit the Cracker Jack! He pulled Taylor up and nailed the Border Toss, and covered! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Shawn Hernandez (1-0) (5:49)

Tenay pointed out that Shawn Hernandez is now 1-0, because that’s a apparently huge fucking landmark. Post-match, LAX celebrated, and Williams tried to attack, but LAX turned the tide on him and he escaped with Taylor up the ramp.

Backstage, Angle recommended that AJ be in action tonight, and Jarrett agreed. He asked The James Gang what they were doing tonight, and they said nothing, like always. So Jarrett told Waltman to tell Lauren to tell Jeremy Borash to tell AJ Styles that he has a match tonight against the James Gang, and his partner would be . . . Chad Collyer.

--Commercial Break--

Alex Shelley came down to ringside for the following battle royal.

Match 3: Low Ki vs Petey Williams vs Jimmy Jacobs vs Volador vs Elix Skipper vs Amazing Red vs Alex Viktor Koslov vs TJ Perkins [Battle Royal – #1 Contender to X-Division title]
Low Ki went right at Jacobs and killed him with big kicks, but TJ Perkins came over and sort of helped Jacobs deal with that. Koslov and Skipper teamed up to go after Volador in the corner. Amazing Red and Petey Williams had a flippity exchange in the middle of the ring, and Red went for the Code Red, but Williams blocked it and hit an inverted Pedigree! He picked him up and tried to throw him out, but Red held on and pulled Williams out to the apron! They exchanged blows, but Perkins ran over and tried to clothesline them both off. Red got hit and was eliminated, but Williams ducked, and then grabbed Perkins from on the apron, and flipped in with an inverted DDT! He pulled him up and tossed him out of the ring, and now Perkins was eliminated! Low Ki and Jacobs were still beating the shit out of each other, and at this point Jacobs had the upper hand and was really targeting the back of Ki’s skull. Skipper was still trying to beat down Volador, but the lucha fought back with some arm drags and then a standing monkey flip that sent Skipper to the apron! Volador tried a lariat, but Skipper ducked, grabbed his arm, and jumped up onto the top rope! He tried the New School, but Volador pulled his arm away, and then dropkicked Skipper off the top rope, and he tumbled to the outside, and Skipper was eliminated! Petey and Koslov were trading moves at this point, and Volador got involved there. Meanwhile, Jacobs and Ki were STILL going at it, and at this point Jacobs had taken off his boot, and he was beating Low Ki in the face with it. Fuck yeah. Jacobs finally decided to pull him up and he tried to toss him out, but Ki held on and fought back with elbows. Jacobs poked him in the eye and then picked him up for a powerbomb, but Low Ki escaped it, AND THEN STOMPED ON JACOBS’ EXPOSED TOES~! Jacobs doubled over, and Low Ki hit him with a springboard mushroom stomp! He picked him up and tossed him over, and Jacobs was eliminated! Jacobs got up and shouted at Low Ki from the outside, and he hopped up on the apron! Ki went for a big right hand, but Jacobs ducked and then kicked him in the balls! Koslov saw it go down, and he ran over and dumped Low Ki over the top, and Low Ki was eliminated! Low Ki and Jacobs brawled on the outside, leaving Petey Williams, and Volador, and A.V. Koslov as the three remaining.

--Commercial Break--

Yeah, so all three guys traded high-flying moves for a while, and they each got a good segment of being in control. Koslov hit a Side Russian Legsweep on Petey Williams and marked out. He tried the Red Scare on Volador, but the expert lucha countered it into a headscissors DDT! Koslov stumbled up and Volador sent him out of the ring with a spinning wheel kick, and Koslov was eliminated! Volador waited for Petey to get up, and the two went back-and-forth for a bit. Petey eventually tried to fight Volador into the Sharpshooter, but Volador shoved him away, and caught him off the ropes with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker! He tried to toss him over the top rope, but Williams fought him off and then connected with his sitout jawbreaker. He ran off the ropes, but Volador caught him with a hurricanrana. Volador went up top and set up for a Moonsault, but Petey crotched him backwards. He tried a belly to back superplex, but Volador elbowed out of it and shoved Williams down, then leapt off with a flying reverse crossbody! He picked Williams up and tried to toss him out, but he powered out himself. He immediately went for the Border’s Edge, but Volador countered into a headscissors, and used it to throw Petey over the top rope and outside of the ring!
Winner and number one contender to the X-Division Championship: Volador (15:42)

Volador celebrated in the ring and signaled for the title.

Backstage, Styles was talking with Collyer about strategy for their tag team match later.

Booker T ran into Kevin Nash backstage and told him to stay the hell away from tonight’s main event, and that he better not mess things up for the Negroes just to get at him. Nash got in his face and said that he doesn’t like him, but he doesn’t see him as a threat; nor does he see 2CN as a threat. He sees the other team as a threat, specifically one member of the other team. Booker T seemed somewhat relieved, but still said to stay the hell away from the main event. Nash grinned and walked off.

--Commercial Break--

Commentary announced that Low Ki/Jimmy Jacobs had been signed for Genesis.

Backstage, Eric Young berated Petey Williams for losing the battle royal to a Mexican. Petey shouted that he’s sick of Young ragging on him when Young had done nothing special in months, not even make the BFG card. Petey told Young to put up or shut up, and challenged him to a match at Genesis. Young thought about it for a second, and then accepted.

The Enlightened (That’s officially Christopher Daniels, Elix Skipper, Jimmy Rave, and Frankie Kazarian) came down to the ring. Daniels said that he’s ready to put the nail in Raven’s coffin, and end his career for good. Raven came out and said that he has no reason to prove himself against Daniels anymore, since those ungrateful bitches left him, and his career is worth much nowadays anyway. So, he had a deal. He quite literally would put his career on the line under one condition . . . Rave and Kaz have to put their contracts on the line. If Raven loses, he must retire. If Raven wins, they belong to him. Kaz and Rave started to speak up, but Daniels talked over them. Deal. The match was set, and Raven turned around and returned the back, laughing to himself.

--Commercial Break--

Backstage, Rave and Kaz were upset that their contracts were put on the line without their consent, and Raven could potentially own them come Genesis. Daniels said not to worry, because he’ll obviously beat Raven.

Match 4: AJ Styles/Chad Collyer vs The James Gang w/ Kurt Angle
Collyer and Kip started, and Kip was really cocky but he got served on the mat. Collyer went for his big German Suplex, but Kip grabbed onto the ropes and then elbowed Collyer in the chin once he let go. Styles got in, and he and Chad did a good job of working circles around the James Gang. Collyer hit a big Belly-to-Belly Suplex on Kip, then a T-Bone on BG, an Exploder on Kip again, and then an Underhook Suplex back on BG! ONE! TWO! THRE – Kip just broke it up! Collyer tossed him to the outside, where Angle shouted at Collyer. Styles yelled for him to focus on the mat, but he kept up the trash talk with Angle, and BG snuck up and nailed an inverted bulldog! ONE! TWO! THRE – Collyer got an arm up! The James Gang isolated the amateur wrestler for a bit, but he fought back after he countered the Fame-Ass-Er into a double leg takedown. He caught Kip James with a belly-to-belly, and then gave one to BG, then he made the hot tag! Styles cleaned house, and he hit the Rack Bomb on Kip James! ONE! TWO! THRE – BG broke it up! Collyer ran over and hit BG with a German Suplex, as Styles picked up Kip and hit the Styles Clash! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winners via pinfall: AJ Styles/Chad Collyer (6:57)

Styles and Collyer celebrated in the ring, until Kurt Angle got in the ring. He and Styles got in each other’s faces, and Styles held up his belt. Angle looked at it, AND THEN SLUGGED STYLES IN THE FACE! He kept hitting him, UNTIL CHAD COLLYER TOOK HIM OUT FROM BEHIND WITH A GERMAN SUPLEX!! Angle rolled out of the ring and was all “wtf†as Chad helped up Styles in the ring. They both celebrated in the ring as Angle backed up the ramp, absolutely furious.

--Commercial Break--

An instant replay of Chad Collyer hitting a German Suplex on Kurt Angle played, and Tenay said that he just received word that, next week, Collyer would be facing Kip James.

Match 5: Tyson Tomko/Rhino vs 2 Crazy Negroes w/ Booker T [Tag Team #1 Contenders Tournament, Semi-Final]
Rhino jumped Lethal right at the start, and Tomko actually pulled him off and told him to let it start cleanly. Rhino was a bit put off, so Tomko started it, against Creed. Creed tried a hit-and-run strategy, but he underestimated Tomko’s speed and he walked right into a spinning sidewalk slam. Tomko worked over his back pretty well, though Creed did have pockets of comebacks. He went for his somersault clothesline, but Tomko caught him in midair and planted him with a powerslam. Rhino got involved at this point and the two big men really beat down the young Negro, specifically targeting his back. Rhino got arrogant and started toying with him, and he had room to come back with big elbows. Rhino stopped him with a knee to the gut and then sent him into the ropes. He tried a Spinning Spinebuster, but Creed countered into a Monkey Flip! Rhino stumbled up, and Creed came back with a second-rope clothesline, and then made the hot tag! Lethal came in and just started beating away at Rhino, and he hit the hip toss/cartwheel/dropkick combination! ONE! TWO! THR – Rhino kicked out. Lethal pulled him up and went for the Lethal Combination, but Rhino blocked it and hit a belly-to-back suplex! He picked Lethal up and tried a vertical suplex, but Lethal floated over and landed on the apron. Rhino tried a right hand, but Lethal blocked it and hit a quick enzuigiri! Rhino stumbled back, and Lethal started to springboard in, but Rhino exploded and ran at Lethal with a huge shoulder block, sending Lethal flying off the apron and into the steel barricade!

--Commercial Break--

Rhino was working over Lethal’s shoulder, which was crushed by the barricade. Tomko got in and worked over the arm as well, and he fought Lethal into a fujiwara armbar! Lethal struggled, but finally made it to the ropes. Tomko pulled him up and went for a powerbomb, but Lethal rolled through with a sunset flip! ONE! TWO! THR – Tomko kicked out! They both got up, and Tomko killed him with a Lariat! He started raging now and threw Lethal around like a rag doll, but the elder Negro would never stay down! With Booker and Creed cheering him on, he continued to fight to his feet and take the punishment. Eventually, Tomko got sick of it and went for TEH BEWT~, but Lethal ducked and hit a superkick! Both men were down! Both men made the tag at the same time! Rhino and Creed traded blows and of course Rhino got the bett – NO! CREED WITH A SHIT TON OF RIGHT HANDS! Rhino began reeling, so Creed backed up and exploded with the somersault clothesline! He sprinted to the apron and came back in with a springboard flying splash! ONE! TWO! THRE – Rhino JUST got an arm up! Creed pulled him up and tried his Fireman’s Carry Cutter, but he was too heavy, so Rhino whipped out a scoop slam. Creed got up and Rhino went for a Pumphandle Slam, but Creed floated over and hit a jumping reverse DDT! ONE! TWO! THRE – Tomko broke it up! Lethal ran in and brawled with Tomko, and it spilled to the outside. Creed picked up Rhino, but he went to the eyes. He ran off the ropes and tried a clothesline, but Creed ducked and PICKED UP RHINO FOR THE FIREMAN’S CARRY CUTTER!! The crowd went nuts, but Rhino gouged at the eyes again to break free! Creed held his eyes and didn’t even see Rhino come off the ropes with a Gore! ONE! TWO! THRE – NO! LETHAL BROKE IT UP! Tomko was right behind him and grabbed him, then planted him with a chokeslam! He helped Rhino up, and the two hit an assisted powerbomb on Creed! ONE! TWO! THRE – Creed got up a shoulder, BARELY! Rhino lifted Creed up and put him on his shoulders as Tomko went up top! Tomko signaled for the end, but Lethal ran over and stopped Tomko from jumping off! He held Tomko in the corner while Creed got Rhino with a Victory Roll! ONE! TWO! THRE – Tomko broke free and JUST broke it up! Tomko pulled Creed up, but Lethal leapt off the top and took out Tomko with a DOUBLE AXE HANDLE~! Creed turned around and Rhino tried to Gore him, but he jumped over! Rhino turned around, AND CREED PICKED HIM UP! FIREMAN’S CARRY CUTTER~! Lethal held Tomko down as Creed covered! ONE! TWO! THREEEE!!!
Winners via pinfall: 2 Crazy Negroes (14:03)

The Negroes celebrated in the ring, as Tomko and Rhino got up. Tomko offered them both handshakes, and they accepted, but Rhino just went to the back without saying anything. Nash/Waltman and AMW kept fighting to the back, and RVD/Sabu walked past them and came down to the ring. They stared off with 2CN, and both teams finally shook hands, and Tenay hyped that match for next week, AND WE’RE OUTTA TIME, FOLKS~!

Internet Rumors~!
-In an effort to freshen up the supply of jobbers/Xplosion wrestlers, TNA has released Seth Delay and Lance Rock. Sources tell us that employees like Kenny King, Scott Lost, and Wahoo McDaniel Jr are nervous about their future.

-On the other hand, as you may have already noticed, TNA has signed Maven Huffman, Chuck Taylor, and Roderick Strong to try to fill in those gaps.

-The recent push of Chad Collyer actually came at the request of Kurt Angle, who likes him a lot.

-TNA Xplosion will undergo a shift in format. Instead of one hour of undercard matches and iMPACT hype and one hour of past TNA matches, it will now be two full hours or undercard matches (still featuring mostly jobbers and part-time independent talent) and iMPACT hype. This move is that to be the result of the Knockouts moving almost exclusively to Xplosion.

-BREAKING NEWS! CHRIS SABIN HAS BEEN RELEASED BY TNA. The news came as somewhat as a shock to the backstage workers, who thought he was put out as only part of a storyline. Workers like Low Ki, Jimmy Jacobs, Petey Williams, and even AJ Styles have expressed displeasure in the move. However, Alex Shelley has refused to comment on the situation, and has stated that he would rather focus on his career heading into the future.

Commentary ran down the card, including Shelley/Jacobs vs Low Ki/Volador, Eric/partner of choice vs Petey/partner of choice, RVD/Sabu vs 2CN in the tag tournament finals, a huge ten-man tag in the main event, and more!

Match 1: Alex Shelley/Jimmy Jacobs vs Low Ki/Volador
Low Ki demanded Jimmy Jacobs at the start, and Shelley wasn’t about to volunteer to go in, so he got it. They actually got a really long stretch of one-on-one, because Ki didn’t want to go out and Shelley didn’t want to go in. They went on the mat and Jacobs showed some finesse, but Ki started to take over by using his high-impact strikes. He backed Jacobs up to the corner and went for a big chop, but Jacobs ducked and Ki’s arm hit the turnbuckle. Jacobs pounced on Ki’s arm and went at it like a maniac, using the ropes and Shelley on the apron whenever he got the chance. Shelley finally got in once Ki’s arm was really damaged, but right away Low Ki exploded with a spinning wheel kick. He kept stomping the shit out of Shelley, and then tagged out to Volador to nurse his arm. The lucha ran circles around Shelley for a bit, and then dropkicked him to the outside. Jacobs went over to check on him, and Volador took them both out with a Tope Con Hilo!

--Commercial Break--

Volador got his time to shine now, and he looked really good against both Michiganians. He got a really close fall on Jacobs after a standing moonsault, and at that point, Low Ki wanted in. The former X-Champion raged for a while, but he caught up in the double team of Shelley and Jacobs. They went back to his arm, which caused him to have a harder time fight back. He did managed to counter a snap suplex into one of his own, and he went for the Ki Krusher, but Shelley hit at the arm to break free. Shelley went to the eyes and tried the Shellshock, but Ki spun out and came back with a springboard roundhouse, and he made the hot tag! Volador cleaned house with dropkicks, and he topped it off with a big hurricanrana to Alex Shelley! ONE! TWO! THR – He got an arm up! Volador picked him up and tried a powerbomb, but Shelley got out and hit a bunch of elbows, then tagged in Jacobs. He climbed in and tried a Spear, but Volador leapt over, and caught Jacobs off the ropes with a powerbomb! ONE! TWO! THR – Shelley broke it up! He stomped at Volador, and didn’t see Low Ki run over and level him with a high-impact front dropkick! He turned around and charged at Jimmy Jacobs, and hit an enzuig – NO! BLACK MAGIC~! He tackled Shelley out of the ring as Volador went up top! MOONSAULT! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Low Ki/Volador (13:28)

Low Ki and Volador celebrated in the ring, and Volador signaled for the title.

Backstage, Eric Young asked Tyson Dux to be his partner tonight, and Dux accepted.

Tomko and Rhino were with Lauren, and they said that they couldn’t wait to get their hands on Nash and Waltman tonight.

--Commercial Break--

Petey Williams went up to Tyson Dux and asked if he’d be his partner, but Dux said that EY already asked, so sorry.

Match 2: Chad Collyer vs Kip James w/ BG James
Collyer forced Kip to the mat and made him look like a bitch right from the start. He topped it off with a really nice T-Bone Suplex for a two-count, and then used some basic holds to work the back. BG got involved on the outside to let Kip get some offense in. He military pressed Collyer at one point, but Collyer maneuvered out to land behind him, and he hit a Bridging German Suplex for the win.
Winner via pinfall: Chad Collyer (3:22)

Collyer celebrated in the ring until BG ran in and attacked him! The James Gang beat him down for a bit, and then pulled him up, and BG went up top and the two hit the Assisted Spike Piledriver! The Gang celebrated up the ramp to boos.

Backstage, Petey Williams asked Amazing Red to tag with him tonight, and he accepted.

--Commercial Break--

Match 3: Eric Young/Tyson Dux vs Petey Williams/Amazing Red
Young and Petey had some awkward encounters here, and Dux went out of his way to impress Young when he could. Beyond that, this was a fairly formulaic tag team match. Amazing Red got isolated for a stretch, but he flipped out of Dux’s Pendulum Backbreaker and hit a quick enzuigiri. Dux went down to his knees, and Red capitalized with a Projectile Hurricanrana, then made the hot tag! Petey springboarded in and hit Dux with a running senton right away! ONE! TWO! THRE – Dux kicked out. Petey pulled him up and immediately hit a Cradle DDT, then covered! ONE! TWO! THRE – Young broke it up! Red ran into the ring to cut Young off, but Young caught him with a standing dropkick. He turned back and Petey grabbed hold of him, but Dux grabbed him from behind and hit a Pendulum Backbreaker! ONE! TWO! THR – Petey kicked out. Dux tagged out to Young, who immediately locked in the Sharpshooter on Williams! Petey Pump struggled, but finally made it to the ropes. EY pulled him up and went for the Spike Piledriver, but he got body dropped out and rolled over to tag in Red! He sprinted in and hit a Satellite DDT right away! ONE! TWO! THR – Young kicked out! Red picked him and called for the end! He climbed to the second rope and went for the Red Eye, but Young kicked him in the gut! Spike Piledriver! ONE! Petey climbed in the ring to break it up, but Dux cut him off BY PUNTING HIM IN THE BALLS! The ref didn’t see it, as he was continuing his count! TWO! THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Eric Young/Tyson Dux (8:39)

Young and Dux celebrated in the ring, but Petey got up and yelled at Dux for blatantly cheating to prevent Petey from breaking the fall. Young stepped in and told Petey to face the fact that he lost, and Petey just said that he’d see him on Sunday.

Raven was backstage, and he told Jimmy Rave to brace himself for the beating of a lifetime.

--Commercial Break--

Match 4: Raven vs Jimmy Rave w/ The Enlightened
They went to the mat at first, and Jimmy showed some finesse there, but Raven started throwing punches and took control. He worked over the head and neck really aggressively and went for an early Even Flow DDT, but Jimmy shoved him away. He charged, but Raven sent him flying over the top rope and to the outside! Jimmy slowly got up, and Raven ran across and took him out with a baseball slide. Kaz and Skipper came over and shouted at him, which distracted him long enough for Jimmy to hit a bulldog on the outside! He stomped away, but Raven fought up and hit a big flying clothesline to take him down. He played to the crowd some, but Skipper got in the ring and the ref got really distracted, so Daniels went over and leveled Raven with a running STO! The ref turned around and saw Raven down and Daniels over him, SO HE SENT THE ENTIRE ENLIGHTENED TO THE BACK! Jimmy got up and was all atwitter, which allowed Raven to get a big elbow to the back of his skull. He dragged him over to the steel barricade and hit a Side Russian Legsweep onto it! He rolled Jimmy into the ring and covered! ONE! TWO! THR – He just kicked out! Raven pulled him up and tried the Even Flow, but Rave spun through and locked in the Torture Device! Raven struggled and finally made it to the ropes. Jimmy picked him up and went for his All the Rave (Full Nelson Facebuster), but Raven elbowed out, and ran off the ropes with a swinging neckbreaker! Raven pulled him up and hit the Even Flow DDT for the win.
Winner via pinfall: Raven (7:05)

Raven immediately rolled out of the ring and looked under the apron, then pulled out A STEEL CHAIR WRAPPED IN BARBED WIRE!!! He climbed into the ring, and the ref tried to stop him, but he threw him out of the way. Rave slowly stood up, and Raven bashed him over the head!!!! The Enlightened came running back out, but Raven just welcomed them to come in the ring with his weapon. Raven shouted at Daniels that he’d really like their match to be a hardcore match, but Daniels said he’s just not a hardcore kind of guy, so no. Raven frowned and said he REALLY wanted to use this chair. He then threw it onto the mat and planted Rave with an Even Flow onto it!!!

Planet Jarrett was backstage, and Angle, Roode, and Monty ran down their opponents for Genesis. Jarrett then added that he booked Nash/Waltman vs Tomko/Rhino for the show, and Waltman seemed nervous. Nash said he couldn’t wait to shut up Tomko once and for all, but Waltman said not to underestimate him.

Backstage, Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed asked Booker T if he could stay back in their tag match against RVD/Sabu tonight, because they want to see what they can do on their own. Booker agreed.

--Commercial Break--

LAX was backstage with Lauren and Hernandez was talking about how excited he was to be back in TNA and how he’s going to help defend his buddy Homicide against those British woosies, but right then the Redcoats ran up and attacked them! The teams brawled around backstage until security could split them up!

A video package of the tag team tournament played, outlining how it came to be RVD/Sabu vs 2CN.

America’s Most Wanted came down to ringside to watch the match.

Match 5: RVD/Sabu vs 2 Crazy Negroes [Tag Team #1 Contenders Tournament, Final]
Back-and-forth tag with all four guys seeing some action. It all eventually led to a diving train, which finished off with Jay Lethal hitting a diving crossbody to everybody on the floor!

--Commercial Break--

Things were still quick coming back from the break, but they slowed down after Sabu belly-to-back suplexed Creed out of a headlock. He worked the rest holds on Creed for a bit, then tagged in RVD who went straight to Creed’s back with his kicks. Sabu got back in and continued the back work, and then tried to lock in the Camel Clutch, but Creed scurried to the ropes! They got up and Sabu tried a suplex, but Creed floated over. He went for a springboard something, but Sabu ran at him and tackled him midair before we could find out what! He pulled him up and hit a backbreaker, and then locked in the Camel Clutch! He struggled as Lethal cheered him on to the ropes, AND HE FINALLY MADE IT! Sabu pulled him back and tried to put it back in, but Creed got a roll up! ONE! TWO! THR – Sabu kicked out! They both got up and Sabu tried a lariat, but Creed ducked and took him down from behind with a Jumping Reverse DDT! He started to cover, but instead crawled over to Lethal and made the hot tag! Lethal cleaned house on Sabu, and took it to RVD who had come in as well. He went for the Lethal Combination on Sabu, but RVD stopped it halfway through. He went for a big roundhouse, but Lethal ducked, AND VAN DAM HIT SABU! Creed ran over and tackled RVD out of the ring, and Lethal picked up Sabu, and he nailed him with a Cradle DDT! ONE! TWO! RVD tossed Creed aside and got in the ring, and he and Sabu pinballed Lethal around a bit. RVD finally put him down with a Steamroller, and then got down on all fours beside the ropes, and called for Sabu to do the Arabian Moonsault, with the help of RVD’s back! Sabu went for it, but Lethal moved, but Sabu saw it and landed on his feet! Sabu charged with a dropkick, but Lethal dodged it and Sabu hit RVD, sending him out of the ring! Sabu turned around, RIGHT INTO THE LETHAL COMBINATION! Lethal went up top, and he came off with the Lethal Elbow! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winners via pinfall and number one contenders to the TNA Tag Team Championships: Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed, the 2 Crazy Negroes! (13:45)

The Negroes celebrated, and Booker T came down to join them. RVD and Sabu offered a handshake, which was accepted. AMW climbed into the ring and said that an AMW/2CN match seemed just about right for Genesis, and they all shook hands.

AJ Styles was backstage, and he pointed out that Kurt Angle is legitimately batshit insane, and he has no idea why Jarrett thinks he should be the face of TNA. He said that he always has been Mr. TNA, and there’s a reason for that: he’s simply phenomenal.

--Commercial Break--

Jeff Jarrett came down to do guest commentary.

Match 6: AJ Styles/Tomko/Rhino/Abyss/Morgan vs Planet Jarrett [Angle/Nash/Waltman/Roode/Brown]
The faces dominated everybody up front, except for Angle who was hesitant to get in. Monty gave Styles some trouble after tossing him around a bit, but Styles came back by floating over a scoop slam and hitting the Pele! Brown stumbled to his feet and Styles dropkicked him to the ropes, which Tomko pulled down, and Monty fell to the outside!

--Commercial Break--

We came back and Tomko was raping Waltman, and then tagged in Rhino for some double team action. Rhino fell into the heelishness of Planet Jarrett, and he eventually got isolated, with all five guys taking turns running through their offense. When Waltman was in he got really cocky in his beatdown, and Rhino started to mount a comeback. He threw Waltman into the corner and charged, but Waltman got a boot up! Rhino stumbled back and Waltman tried the Comedown, but Rhino spun out and hit a rotating belly-to-belly! Rhino and Waltman both crawled to their corners, AND STYLES AND ANGLE GOT TAGGED IN! IT IS ON! They traded blows and went back-and-forth for a while, and Styles eventually got off his Phenomenal DDT from the corner! ONE! TWO! THR – Angle kicked out! Styles pulled him up and went for the Styles Clash, but Angle grabbed the ankle and put in the ankle lock! Styles fought to the ropes, but couldn’t make it, so he countered into a roll-up! ONE! TWO! THR – Angle kicked out and immediately tagged in Roode! He immediately grabbed Styles and tried the Payoff, but Styles spun out and hit a flash Brainbuster, then tagged in Tomko! He immediately picked up Roode and went for the Hellevator, but all the heels rushed the ring, and so the faces followed suit! Bodies flew around and everybody was dumped out until only Roode, Styles, and Tomko remained. Roode charged at Styles, but he ducked and Roode ran right into TEH BEWT~! Styles and Tomko pulled him up and planted him with their Tornado-Plex~! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winners via pinfall: AJ Styles/Tyson Tomko/Rhino/Abyss/Matt Morgan (14:56)

The faces celebrated in the ring, but all the heels rushed the ring and a huge brawl started out! Security tried to break it up, but there was too much chaos! Punches everywhere! Insanity! We can’t contain it! We’re out of time! We’ll see you on Sunday!

Clips of how we got to Low Ki vs Jacobs played, going all the way back to Final Resolution where Jacobs helped Shelley beat Ki for the title.

Match 1: Low Ki vs Jimmy Jacobs
They sort of went to the mat at first, but it was really heated. Low Ki eventually got the advantage and started killing Jacobs’ arms with his big kicks. He went for an early Dragon Clutch, but Jacobs rolled to the outside to take a breather. He mouthed off to some fans, and turned around into a suicide dive from Low Ki! They brawled around the outside for a bit, and Jacobs ended up sending Low Ki back-first into the steel post. He hit a big scoop slam on the outside floor, and then rolled Low Ki into the ring and continued the back work there. Low Ki fought back with his kicks, and then targeted the arm again to create some more space. He hit a big roundhouse and then ran off the ropes, but Jacobs caught him with a big Double Underhook Backbreaker! ONE! TWO! THR – Low Ki kicked out. Jacobs lined up in the corner to wait for Ki, and then charged with a Spear, but he dodged out of the way and then hit Jacobs with a Mule Kick! He crawled over and covered! ONE! TWO! THR – Jacobs kicked out! Low Ki started to rage and hit a bunch of big offense, which Jacobs slowed down at times, but never really stopped. Low Ki finally went for the Ki Krusher, but Jacobs kneed out and dropped him down into the Guillotine Choke! He cinched it in, but Ki managed to get to the ropes with his feet. Jacobs pulled him up and went for the Detroit Code, but his arm gave out, and Ki caught him in midair, and countered into AN INVERTED SUPLEX! ONE! TWO! THRE – Jacobs got an arm up! Low Ki went up top for the Ghetto Stomp, but Jacobs moved! Ki faltered on his legs, and he turned around right into a Spear! ONE! TWO! THRE – Low Ki JUST kicked out! Jacobs was in shock! He pulled off his boot and went to beat Low Ki in the face with it, but the ref stopped him. Jacobs complained, but finally gave up and went up top. DIVING SENT – NO! LOW KI MOVED!! He rolled Jacobs over and started creaming him in the back of the skull with stiff elbows, and then he locked in the Dragon Clutch! Jacobs struggled, but finally had to give up!
Winner via submission: Low Ki (13:27)

Low Ki celebrated in the ring and signaled for the title as he backed up the ramp.

Robert Roode and Monty Brown were talking strategy. Roode seemed really nervous, but Brown was super focused.

Eric Young was with Tyson Dux backstage, and he asked him to stand in his corner tonight. Dux pondered it, and then agreed.

Footage of Roode/Brown interfering to make Abyss/Morgan lose played, and then how Roode/Brown lose in the tag title tournament anyway.

Match 2: Abyss/Matt Morgan vs Robert Roode/Monty Brown
Roode bumped around a lot for the big men, but he managed to escape Abyss by out-speeding him, and he tagged in Monty. Abyss and Monty had a power-off, and Monty actually held his own, and was overall just a badass. Morgan got in and was more able to match Monty’s athleticism, and they went back-and-forth for a while. Morgan caught Monty charging into the corner with a boot, and then exploded with a second-rope flying clothesline! ONE! TWO! BROWN KICKED OUT WITH AUTHORITY~! Morgan grabbed him and tried the Hellevator, but Brown slid behind him and hit an Elevated Side Slam! ONE! TWO! THR – Morgan got an arm up! Roode got in and worked over Morgan’s neck some, not hesitating to cheat when possible. He and Monty went back and forth, but it was Roode who called for the end. He tried the Payoff, but Morgan lifted him straight off the mat and then drilled him back down with a one-shoulder powerbomb! ONE! TWO! THR – Roode kicked out! They both got up, and Roode tried a quick clothesline, but Morgan ducked it and connected with a standing dropkick, then made the hot tag! Abyss cleaned house, and gave out chokeslams to both Roode and Monty. He tried the Black Hole Slam on Roode, but he hold onto the ropes to block it. He charged, but Abyss caught him with a big boot! He picked him up and tried the Shock Treatment, but Monty Brown leveled him with a Spear, and Roode fell on top! ONE! TWO! THR – Morgan broke it up! Monty and Morgan traded blows, but eventually Monty clear tossed the giant to the floor from a military press position! Meanwhile, Abyss went for another chokeslam on Roode, but he wriggled out, and then told the ref that he legitimately hurt his throat. The ref went over to check on him, and Monty Brown snuck over and grabbed Abyss! The Monster tried to fight off, but Monty Brown PICKED HIM UP AND HIT THE ALPHA BOMB!!!! He slid out of the ring, and Roode was suddenly fine again and covered Abyss! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Robert Roode/Monty Brown (10:01)

Roode jumped around like he won the Super Bowl while Monty just nodded his head in approval. Morgan climbed in and helped Abyss up as the Planet Jarrett members returned to the back in glee/stoic joy.

Petey Williams was backstage with Lauren, and he said that Eric Young has been breathing down his neck for a while now, and it’s time to show him that he can hold his own, and then some. GET PUMPED!

The Enlightened were all together backstage, and Rave and Kaz were looking really nervous, but Daniels told them to calm down because he could easily beat Raven; he even did so a few weeks ago.

Match 3: Petey Williams vs Eric Young w/ Tyson Dux
This started out semi-respectful on the mat, but Eric Young started to become more and more of a dick as it was harder to put Petey away. Young got some good back work in, but Petey came back after a flash Cradle DDT. He signaled for the Canadian Destroyer, but Young shoved him off, and Dux grabbed his leg from the outside. Petey turned to yell at him, and the distraction allowed EY to grab a roll-up, with his feet on the ropes! ONE! TWO! THRE – Petey JUST got out! Young kept his beatdown up, but eventually Williams started to PETEY UP~! He blocked Young’s shots, and then leveled him with a discus lariat! He went up top, but Dux distracted him long enough for Young to get up and hit a Superplex! ONE! TWO! THR – Williams got an arm up! Young tried to wrestle him into the Sharpshooter, but Williams shoved him away, and caught him off the ropes with a sidewalk slam! They both fought to their feet, and Young charged with a clothesline, but Petey ducked it and caught him off the rope with a big boot! Young stumbled up, and he walked right into the Border’s Edge! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Petey Williams (12:20)

Williams got up and celebrated in the ring, but then went back and offered his hand to EY to help him up. Young just slapped it away and rolled out of the ring, and then returned to the back. Petey looked concerned at first, but he put him behind him and continued celebrating.

An ambiguous video montage played of high-speed stuff zooming around, and then it faded into clips of two different but unidentifiable wrestlers doing high-flying moves. It finally slowed down until we could make out the two faces, and then it announced: Coming to TNA . . . PAUL LONDON AND BRIAN KENDRICK!!!

Backstage, Raven said that his career may not be worth much anymore, but he’s not going down without a fight.

Match 4: Tyson Tomko/Rhino vs Kevin Nash/Sean Waltman
Nash avoid Tomko for most of it, but he finally got in once he tripped the big man, and Waltman caught him with a spin kick. Nash out big man’d him for a bit, but Tomko fought back with big punches and CLUBS~! He went for TEH BEWT~, but Nash ducked and immediately tagged out. Waltman was scared as hell to get in, and rightfully so, because Tomko murdered him. Rhino got in as well some, and he was eventually isolated after falling to the numbers game. He finally ducked under a double clothesline, and came off the ropes with a DOUBLE GORE~! He made the hot tag, and Tomko cleaned house with big lariats. He sent Nash out of the ring with TEH BEWT~, and then pulled up Waltman and nailed the Argentine Neckbreaker for the win.
Winners via pinfall: Tyson Tomko/Rhino (9:12)

Tomko and Rhino celebrated, and Tomko made sure to flex plenty of times on his way up the ramp.

Doug Williams and Dave Taylor were with Lauren, and Williams said that this thing with Homicide was personal, and now that Hernandez got in the way, he’d have to deal with him too.

A big hype video played outlining the Raven/Daniels feud, going all the way back to Rave/Kaz turning on Raven to join Daniels, and the escalation toward Raven’s desperation of putting his career on the line.

Match 5: Christopher Daniels vs Raven [Ravarian’s Contracts vs Raven’s Career]
Raven was pretty much established as the face from the start when Raven jumped him at the bell. He worked over his neck without moves, just beating, but Raven fought back by using cheap tricks. It turned into a brief up-upping exchange, with each guy trying to out-cheat the other, but Raven ended up getting the better after faking going to the eyes and hitting a DDT instead! ONE! TWO! THR – Daniels kicked out and slid to the outside, where the brawl continued. Raven tried his Side Legsweep to the barricade, but Daniels blocked it, and then tossed Raven into the steel! He rolled Raven back into the ring and immediately went for the BME, but Raven moved! Daniels got up and Raven tried the Even Flow, but Daniels pushed him away. He caught him off the ropes and tried the Angel’s Wings, but Raven spun out and hit a falling neckbreaker! ONE! TWO! THR – Daniels got up an arm! Raven pulled him up and tried the Even Flow again, but Daniels countered into a Northern Lights Suplex! ONE! TWO! THRE – Raven kicked out! They both got up, and Daniels went to the eyes! He exploded with elbows, and sent Raven into the ropes. Raven bounced back with a flying clothesline, but Daniels ducked, AND RAVEN HIT THE REF, BABY~! Raven looked shocked, and he turned around and Daniels punted him into the balls! Last Rites! But there’s no ref! He tried the Best Moonsault Ever, but Raven moved again! He got up and got a totally sadistic look in his eyes. He rolled out of the ring, AND HE PULLED OUT THE BARBED WIRE STEEL CHAIR FROM UNDER THE RING!!! He rolled in, and Daniels saw it coming and began to tremble in fear! Raven lifted the chair in the air . . . AND THEN USED IT TO SLICE OPEN HIS OWN FORHEAD!! Raven began to bleed profusely and smiled like a maniac, and Daniels was disgusted. Raven looked over and saw the ref coming to life, so he tossed the chair to Daniels, who caught it instinctively. Raven flopped to the mat, and the ref came to life and saw Daniels holding the chair over a bloody, seemingly knocked out Raven! Daniels realized what was going on, BUT IT WAS TOO LATE! THE REF CALLED IT!
Winner via disqualification: Raven (8:35)

Daniels was in shock, and he begged the ref to believe him that Raven set up a trap, but the ref didn’t buy it. Daniels threw the ref out of the ring and then went to attack Raven, but Raven spring to life and slid out of the ring, and laughed all the way up the ramp.

Backstage, Homicide was getting Hernandez pumped up.

A hype video of Shawn Hernandez played, going over everything he did in Mexico and Japan over the last year, as well as all he’s accomplished in TNA.

Match 6: Latin American Exchange vs The Redcoats
The crowd was HAWT~ for the reunited LAX. Homicide and Hernandez knocked the Redcoats around at the start, but then it slowed and we got a really awesome Homicide-Williams exchange up front. Williams managed to take control by targeting the ribs, and Taylor got in to stretch him out like a mofo. Homicide had really fiery comebacks, but he always fell to the double-teaming of the Redcoats. Doug called for the end and tried to fight ‘Cide into the Britannic Bow and Arrow, but Homicide countered into an Oklahoma Roll! ONE! TWO! THR – Doug kicked out! They both got up, and Williams tried his running knees, but Homicide dodged it, and came off of the ropes with the Brooklyn Lariat. He crawled over, AND MADE THE HOT TAG! Shawn Hernandez got in and killed both of the Brits with big forearms and lariats! He planted Williams with a running powerbomb, and then tossed Taylor with the Crackerjack! He picked Williams up and tried the Border Toss, but Williams slid down. He grabbed Hernandez from behind and tried the Chaos Theory, but Hernandez shoved him off, AND WILLIAMS FELL RIGHT INTO THE 187 FROM HOMICIDE!! Taylor stumbled up, so Hernandez grabbed him and hit the Border Toss! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winners via pinfall: Latin American Exchange [Hernandez: (4-0)] (7:28)

LAX celebrated their victory in the ring.

Backstage, Chris Daniels found Kaz and Rave, and they were pissed. Daniels told them to chill out, because he’d think of something. Just then, security came up and informed Kaz and Rave that Raven requested that they report to his locker room to help move his bags to the trailer. They looked pissed, but Daniels told them to go along with it, for now.

Backstage, Los Infernales were talking strategy with Volador. I think. It was in Spanish.

A visibly beaten Jimmy Jacobs came out with Alex Shelley, but the referee sent him to the back before the match even started!

Match 7: Alex Shelley vs Volador [X-Division Championship]
Shelley was still upset about Jacobs being sent away, and he turned around into a HEASCISSORS LA MAGISTRAL~! ONE! TWO! THRE – NO! Shelley JUST kicked out! Volador started running circles around Shelley, and got him from every angle with springboard dropkicks and arm drags. Shelley finally managed to catch Volador off a springboard with a Reverse STO, and tried to ground him. It wasn’t long until Volador ended up on the apron, and springboarded in with an arm drag to Shelley. The champion finally had enough and rolled to the outside for a break, but Volador ran and leapt over the top rope, and connected with a hurricanrana to the outside! They brawled around the floor for a bit, and Shelley ended up sending Volador into the steel post! He rolled him in and worked over his neck some with a lot of aggression and some submission holds. Volador started to fight back with elbows, so Shelley sent him to the corner, but Volador just ran up the turnbuckle and came off with a big missile dropkick! ONE! TWO! THR – Shelley kicked out! Volador went up top and tried a Moonsault, but Shelley moved out of the way! He immediately pounced on the challenger and tried to lock in the Border City Stretch, but Volador got to the ropes. They both got up, and Volador went for a vertical suplex, but Shelley floated over and countered with a Backpack Stunner! ONE! TWO! THRE – Volador got an arm up! Shelley quickly climbed to the top rope and shouted, “I CAN DO FLIPPITY SHIT TOO!” When Volador got off, Shelley leapt off for a flying hurricanrana, but Volador shifted his weight and countered with a huge powerbomb! ONE! TWO! THR – Shelley kicked out! Volador immediately pounced with a standing dropkick, and then followed up with an enzuigiri to Shelley, who was on his knees! Volador hit a standing Moonsault and hooked the legs! ONE! TWO! THR – Shelley kicked out! Volador ran up to the top and wait for Shelley to get up, AND HE HIT A DRAGONRANA!!! YES!!! ONE! TWO! THRE – NO! SHELLEY KICKED OUT!!! Volador couldn’t believe it! Shelley tried to roll out of the ring, but Volador caught him! He set him up on the top turnbuckle in the corner and climbed up as well. SUPER HURRICANR – NO! SHELLEY BLOCKED IT! He held onto the ropes to prevent it, and Volador crashed to the mat below! Shelley was still woozy up top, so he just jumped off with a simply splash onto Volador. ONE! TWO! THR – Volador kicked out! Both men fought to their feet and traded blows, and Shelley ended up pushing Volador back to the corner. He charged, but Volador got a boot up to block it! Shelley stumbled back, and Volador ran at him, but Shelley exploded with a superkick! ONE! TWO! THRE – Volador kicked out! Shelley jumped on him and immediately locked in the Border City Stretch! Volador struggled and he finally made it to the ropes! Shelley pulled him up and tried the Shellshock, but Volador countered with a tilt-a-whirl headscissors! Volador went back up top and tried another Dragonrana, BUT SHELLEY COUNTERED IT INTO A SITDOWN POWERBOMB! Shelley waited for Volador to get up, and then he nailed the Shellshock! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winner via pinfall and still X-Division Champion: Alex Shelley (15:44)

Alex Shelley celebrated with his title in the middle of the ring and shouted that he’s the King of the World!

The 2 Crazy Negroes were backstage with Booker T, and he was pumping them up. Lauren came up for an interview, and Booker T said that the Negroes were ready to win some gold tonight. Lethal said that he and Creed had a long slump of losses, but they’re back on fire, and ready to retake the TNA tag team division.

AMW was backstage and they cut a promo how everybody is currently watching history unfold, as the greatest tag team title reign of all time is every ongoing, and it won’t end tonight.

A hype video played, going over how AMW/2CN spilled from AMW/Nash/Booker T/2CN, and how AMW found a big respect for the Negroes, and wanted this match all along. It then went through the whole tag team tournament, and how Lethal and Creed came out on top to earn this title opportunity.

Match 8: America’s Most Wanted[c] vs 2 Crazy Negroes [TNA Tag Team Championships]
Everybody shook hands up front, but then shit was on. This was a really fast-paced match; not flippity shit fast, but rather with a lot of wild brawling going on. Lethal and Storm tried a lockup to start, but it devolved into a brawl within a few minutes. Storm beat Lethal in the corner some and then sent him into the ropes, but he came off with a flying crossbody! ONE! TWO! THR – Storm kicked out. Lethal kept up his scrappy punches and utilized some high-flying strikes every now and then, but Storm caught him with a big right hand that shook him. He fought him to his corner, and Harris got in and the two got in some nice double team offense. Harris went for a Vertical Suplex on Lethal, but he floated over and went crazy with wild chops! Lethal stomped at him and fought him to his corner, and tagged in Creed. He kept up the momentum, but Harris caught him off the ropes with a back body drop. Shit went back-and-forth with everybody getting involved, at times with two men from each team in at the same time. Lethal eventually got a lot of steam after hitting a diving double axe handle onto Harris, and then he pulled out a Superplex! ONE! TWO! THR – He got an arm up! Lethal immediately pulled him up and went for the Lethal Combination, but Storm shoved him away and he fell into a big right hand from Harris on the apron. Lethal stumbled back right into a Superkick from Storm! ONE! TWO! THRE – Creed broke it up! Harris came in the ring, and all four guys brawled around! It spilled to the outside, and in the end Creed got sent shoulder-first into the steel steps. AMW isolated him like a motherfucker and worked over his arm, and just overall made him suffer by hitting him harder than was probably necessary. Harris called for the end and went for the Catatonic, but Creed spun out and hit his somersault clothesline! He came back with a bunch of punches, but Harris caught him off the ropes with a sleeper hold. It didn’t last long, though, because Creed countered with a belly-to-back suplex! He nearly made it to Lethal, but Harris grabbed his leg! ENZUIGIRI! HOT TAG, BABEH~! Lethal came in on fire and cleaned house like crazy on both of the tag team champions. He sent Storm to the outside, and Creed followed up with a suicide dive. He nearly got leveled with a Lariat by Harris, but he ducked it and caught him coming back with the Lethal Combination! ONE! TWO! THRE – Harris kicked out! Lethal immediately went up top and dove off for the Lethal Elbow, but Harris moved! He measured Lethal up, and nailed him with the Catatonic! ONE! TWO! THRE – Creed pulled him off! Storm was right behind Creed, and he tackled him from behind! He pulled him up, and Harris came over, and they hit Creed with the Death Sentence! They went back to Lethal and tried the same, but Lethal fought out and hit Storm with a big roundhouse! He kicked Harris in the gut and came off the ropes with AN AXE KICK~! ONE! TWO! THRE – Storm JUST broke it up! Lethal tried to fight them both off with punches, but the numbers got to him. AMW started to turn the tide, but Creed springboarded in and took both champions out with a flying dropkick! Lethal scurried up the ropes and came off with a Lethal Elbow to James Storm! He pulled up Harris, and he and Creed tried their suplex/crossbody combination, but Harris powered out of Lethal’s suplex and reversed into one of his own. Creed dove off for the crossbody anyway, but Harris ducked! Creed stumbled up and Harris MURDERED him with a Lariat! He tossed him to the outside and picked up Lethal, and he nailed the Catatonic! ONE! TWO! THRE – NO! LETHAL KICKED OUT! Storm was up now, and he and Harris picked Lethal up! DEATH SENTENCE~! Creed tried to came into the ring, but Storm cut him off and held him to the mat as Harris covered Lethal! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winners via pinfall and still TNA Tag Team Champions: America’s Most Wanted (14:55)

Everybody was fucking exhausted in the ring from the 15-minute-long sprint, so it took a while for everybody to get up. AMW was clearly impressed by their challenge, so they offered a handshake, and the Negroes accepted. 2CN went to the back while AMW finished celebrating in the ring.

Backstage, Kurt Angle was with Lauren and he said that AJ Styles has been labeled as the face of TNA for too long, when in reality it’s Kurt Angle * wide grin, two thumbs up*.

AJ Styles was loosening up in the final minutes before his match, and he relayed his message to Kurt Angle: 2002 is long gone, and there’s a new best wrestler in the world; AJ Styles is rightfully the champion of the wrestling world.

Live via his office, Jeff Jarrett appeared for a statement to the fans at home. He said that we were about to witness history, as Kurt Angle was not just about to win the TNA Championship, but he was about to represent this company and take it to the next level. He wished Angle good luck, and expressed his hope that the fans do the right thing and cheer for the Olympic gold medalist.

Jeremy Borash came out for formal introductions.

Match 9: AJ Styles[c] v Kurt Angle [TNA World Championship]
They went to the mat at first, and Angle was super confident. Styles held his own for a while, but it’s Kurt Angle on the mat, so let’s be serious. Anyway, this was a basic Styles/Angle match without the ridiculous amount of kicking out of each other’s finishing moves for the heck of it. There was a lot of Styles going for the Styles Clash, but Angle blocked it time after time. Angle worked over the ankle a lot, so yeah. Okay, basically not much happened for the first ten minutes or so. They were both clearly holding back, for whatever reason; that reason being an obvious rematch. Angle had Styles in an ankle lock, but Styles tucked under and countered into a rollup! ONE! TWO! THRE – Angle JUST kicked out! Styles pulled up Angle and hit the Rack Bomb and then went up top, BUT JEFF JARRETT CAME DOWN! Styles shouted at him some, and gave Angle time to get up and climb up top! He grabbed Styles and hit a Super Olympic Slam! NO, NO, NOT THIS WAY, etc. ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winner via pinfall and NEW TNA Champion: Kurt Angle! (15:48)

Jarrett ran and grabbed the TNA Championship from ringside as Angle slid out of the ring. Jarrett strapped it around Angle’s waist, and they celebrated to the back. Styles slowly got up in the ring and he was PISSED.

TNA iMPACT: Planet Jarrett’s New Orbit
iMPACT Zone
Orlando, Florida
January 21, 2010

Kurt Angle and Jeff Jarrett came out to start the show, and they were grinning from ear-to-ear. Angle said it felt great to hold the TNA Championship for the first time since 2008, and he mentioned how this was a great way for TNA to kick off the new year. Jarrett talked about how TNA can now be viewed by the public positively, with an honorable champion at the helm. He talked trash about AJ Styles, who he called a worthless hick, and who was only ever able to carry TNA to a cult status, and how history has proved that over and over. He said that, with Angle back as world champion, TNA is destined for greatness.

Styles came out and objected, saying that he’s ALWAYS represented TNA rightly, and that’s because of his hard work, good attitude, and unparalleled wrestling ability. He said that he’s never been about the politics that Angle and Jarrett represent, and that’s what wrestling fans want to see – integrity. Angle spoke up and lectured Styles that “integrity†is what he does best. Along with intensity and intelligence, of course. Styles said that he’s proved his lack of integrity, twisted intelligence, but to prove his intensity, he would have to beat Styles when he uses his rematch clause. Jarrett laughed and said that Styles would NOT be able to use his rematch clause, sorry. Styles objected, stating it was clearly in his contract, but Jarrett said that Styles was welcome to sue, and he was welcome to win. The losses that TNA would suffer from a lawsuit would pale to the losses that TNA would suffer from AJ Styles as world champion instead of Kurt Angle.

This drew out . . . DIXIE CARTER~! She told Jarrett that, while he may have founded TNA and gotten a strong hold on day-to-day affairs, he is not the PRESIDENT of TNA, so decisions regarding contract disputes must ultimately go through her. She said that she’s done her best to trust Jarrett on most things, but she sees no reason why TNA should be liable, simply because Angle is too insecure to face AJ Styles again. Angle objected, saying he could easily beat Styles, he’s just not worth it. Dixie proposed a solution: Angle could select a member of Planet Jarrett to face AJ Styles in the main event tonight. If Styles wins, he gets a rematch for the TNA Championship. If Styles loses, he does not, plain and simple. Jarrett and Angle discussed amongst themselves, and they finally agreed. Styles and Dixie shook hands, and AJ returned to the back. In the ring, Dixie warned Jarrett not to try any more quick tricks like that again, and she demanded that he announce Styles’ opponent as soon as possible.

Commentary talked about the big announcement, and then ran down some of tonight’s card: Kevin Nash vs James Storm, two X-Division triple threats, and, of course, AJ Styles vs a member of Planet Jarrett.

--Commercial Break--

In the Planet Jarrett locker room, Robert Roode begged to be the one to face Styles later tonight. Angle said they hadn’t decided but to chill out, because it probably wouldn’t be him. This clearly upset Roode.

Commentary announced that two X-Division triple threat matches would take place tonight, and the winner of each would face each other next week in order to be named #1 Contender to the X-Division Championship.

Match 1: Low Ki vs Petey Williams vs Doug Williams
Basic triple threat stuff, with each guy having a good segment of control. Low Ki about had the win when he hit the Black Magic and then went up top for the Ghetto Stomp, but Doug came out of nowhere and knocked him to the outside! He picked up Petey and tried the Chaos Theory, but Petey held onto the turnbuckle to block it, then pushed Doug away. He fell halfway across the ring, but got up and sprinted back, but he ran right into the Border’s Edge! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Petey Williams (6:30)

Petey Williams celebrated up the ramp, as Doug was irate in the ring. Low Ki climbed into the ring and chased after Doug, but he scurried out and ran to the back.

Eric Young and Tyson Dux were watching the previous match on TV from backstage, and Young looked pissed. He told Dux that they should stick together, and Dux agreed.

Backstage, Raven was walking with Frankie Kazarian and Jimmy Rave, and the two former Enlightened members did not look happy.

--Commercial Break--

Raven grabbed a microphone and said that he and his followers would now demonstrate the power of the New Flock.

Match 2: Raven/Frankie Kazarian/Jimmy Rave vs Shane Sewell/Shark Boy/Roderick Strong
Kaz and Rave looked miserable here, whereas Raven was having the time of his life. Roderick got a little bit of offense in, but Ravarian worked together to cut him off. Kaz hit a big springboard wheel kick to Shark Boy, and the Rave got in and hit his All The Rave. Raven made a blind tag and hit the Even Flow on Shark Boy, and then got the pin for himself.
Winners via pinfall: Raven/Frankie Kazarian/Jimmy Rave (4:08)

Raven held up his “followers†arms, and then marched them to the back.

Tomko and Rhino were backstage with Lauren, and they said that on Sunday they proved that they’re the best big-man team in TNA by pinning “Big Sexy†Kevin Nash. Abyss and Matt Morgan walked up and objected, stating THEY’RE the best big-man tag team in the company. The teams got in each other’s faces, but cooler heads prevailed, and Tomko just said that they’ll have to find out.

A promo aired for Paul London and Brian Kendrick, The Hooliganz~! It said that they would be IN ACTION next week!

--Commercial Break--

Footage played of Chad Collyer pinning Kip James last week, along with him being subsequently piledriven by the James Gang.

Match 3: Chad Collyer vs BG James w/ Kip James
BG totally underestimated Collyer here and tried to go to the mat, but Chad made him look silly. BG rolled to the outside to take a rest, but Collyer followed him out! They brawled on the outside for a bit, but Kip got involved and helped BG send Collyer into the ring post. He isolated Chad on the inside, but he made a big comeback dodging a running knee drop and pouncing with a belly-to-belly. He called for the end, but Kip got up on the apron for the distraction. Collyer completely lost his focus and began yelling at Kip. The ref went over to get Kip off the apron, and BG snuck up and got a low blow to Collyer behind the ref’s back! BG James pulled him up and hit the Pumphandle Slam for the three-count.
Winner via pinfall: BG James (4:29)

BG kept kicking at Collyer, and Kip joined in. They planted him with the Assisted Piledriver again, and celebrated up the ramp.

--Commercial Break--

Jeff Jarrett told Traci Brooks to deliver the message to AJ Styles that tonight he will face Monty Brown in the main event.

This is the other X-Division triple threat, obviously.

Match 4: Homicide vs Alex Viktor Koslov vs Volador
Koslov avoided doing anything as much as possible, so this was a lot of Volador/Homicide. They had a really fast exchange, and Homicide tried to keep up with Volador’s lucha, but he just couldn’t. Volador caught him with a springboard arm drag and then went for a dropkick, but Homicide moved out of the way, and then just straight punched Volador in the face! He tried a flash 187, but Volador pushed him away, right into a leg lariat from Koslov! Volador and Koslov went back-and-forth for a bit, with Koslov trying to work over the arm. He went for a shoulder breaker, but Volador countered into a headscissors that sent them both to the outside! They both got up, and Homicide ran over and took them both out with a Tope con Hilo!!!

--Commercial Break--

Are three guys were going at it on the floor, until Homicide finally gained control after hitting them both with a double clothesline, then rolling in. Volador was in first, and eventually Koslov joined too, and there was a lot of three-man brawling and three-man spots. Homicide had Koslov down after a Brooklyn Lariat and he went up top, but the remaining Axis Powers ran down! They proved to be enough of a distraction to Homicide for Koslov to get up and hit a big Superplex! Homicide and Koslov were done, AND VOLADOR QUICKLY CLIMBED UP AND HIT A MOONSAULT OFF THE TOP TO KOSLOV! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winner via pinfall: Volador (12:56)

Volador celebrated in the ring, as the Axis Powers looked stunned that their planned was foiled.

Alex Shelley came out with Jimmy Jacobs, and he demanded that all these guys return to the back immediately. As THEIR X-Division Champion, he insisted. Once they all left, he began to talk about how he didn’t care if he faced Volador of Petey Williams for the X-Division Championship, his reign would continue. He then began to shit on Chris Sabin! He said that he ran that worthless piece of garbage out of TNA, and now he’d never be back. He said that, in the wrestling industry, only the fittest survive, and that’s what happened. He warned the TNA audience that they were watching history unfold, as Alex Shelley was on his journey to become the GREATEST wrestler in TNA history.

--Commercial Break--

Match 5: Shawn Hernandez w/ Homicide vs Elijah Burke w/ Davey Richards
Pretty squashy. Burke got decent strikes in, but then Hernandez murdered him with a Cracker Jack. He pulled him up and the Border Toss won it for him.
Winner via pinfall: Shawn Hernandez (5-0) (1:12)

LAX celebrated in the ring.

AMW was backstage, and James Storm said that he couldn’t wait to get his hands on Kevin Nash tonight.

--Commercial Break--

Match 6: James Storm w/ Chris Harris vs Kevin Nash w/ Sean Waltman
Lots of power stuff, and there was a pretty good sense of both guys disliking each other a good bit. Waltman got involved from the outside toward the end, so Harris ran over and leveled him with his big Lariat! Storm was distracted by it all, and Nash hit a big boot! He pulled him up and tried the Jackknife, but Storm body dropped him out of it. He picked the big man up and nailed the Eight Second Ride, and that was all she wrote.
Winner via pinfall: James Storm (6:49)

America’s Most Wanted celebrated to the back.

Backstage, Monty Brown walked up alone to Jeff Jarrett. He asked for some clarity of tonight’s main event. Jarrett explained that if AJ Styles wins, he gets a title match against Angle, so to not let that happen. Monty though for a moment and then asked, “What happens if I win?†Jarrett frowned and just told Monty to win, and they’d cross that bridge later.

--Commercial Break--

Kurt Angle and Jeff Jarrett came down to watch from ringside, but this time they allowed Cornette and West to keep their headsets.

Match 7: AJ Styles vs Monty Brown [If AJ wins, he gets a TNA Championship match]
Styles was actually the over-confident here, as he tried to go with Monty on the mat, but the big man just shoved him around. Styles had to get craft with his offense, but even that proved to be a challenge. Brown nearly got off a powerbomb, but Styles floated over and surprised him with a Pele kick! Brown stumbled into the ropes, and Styles knocked him to the outside with a triangle springboard dropkick! Even then Monty got to his feet on the outside fairly quickly, so Styles ran against the ropes and came off to take him out with his Fosbury Flop!

--Commercial Break--

Styles kept up his high-octane offense, but Monty eventually caught him off the ropes with a flapjack. He beat Styles around, really just trying to hurt him. He locked in a bear huge, but Styles quickly fought out with big elbow hit a Gutwrench Suplex! ONE! TWO! THR – Styles kicked out! Monty kept going back to the ribs, and he finally called for the end. He tried the Alpha Bomb, but Styles countered into a falling DDT! ONE! TWO! THR – Monty kicked out! Styles went for the Styles Clash, but Monty shifted his body weight and lifted Styles up, and he hit the Alpha Slam (double leg slam)! ONE! TWO! THRE – Styles kicked out! Monty pulled him up and went for an obvious Pounce, but Styles held onto the ropes to block it. Monty charged, but Styles exploded with a discus clothesline! Monty wobbled, and Styles capitalized with a quick springboard reverse crossbody! ONE! TWO! THRE – Monty kicked out! Styles went up top, but Kurt Angle ran over and got on the apron! He shouted at Styles, who turned and kicked him off! Styles turned back to the ring, but Monty was there! He climbed up and tried to fight him into a super belly-to-belly, but Styles elbowed him away and then shoved him off! He stood up, and he hit the Spiral Tap! ONE! TWO! THREE!
Winner via pinfall: AJ Styles (14:03)

As Styles celebrated, Angle rushed the ring and attacked him from behind. He pulled him up and tried the Olympic Slam, but Styles rolled through and hit a standing dropkick! He pulled him up and tried the Styles Clash, but Angle slivered out and jumped out of the ring. Styles taunted him, but then turned right around into a big lariat from Monty Brown! He picked up Styles, threw him into the ropes, and hit the POUNCE~~~~~~~~~~~~~! PERIOD!!! Angle climbed back into the ring, and Jarrett joined him. The three men stood tall over a fallen AJ Styles to close the show.
