Rob Van Dam Leaving?

There are tons of rumors pointing towards RVD leaving WWE later this year. According to J.R.'s Blog, he says he doubts RVD will leave the WWE. Shane McMahon is trying to get him resigned. And he hasn't been getting "buried" or jobbing to anyone, he won against Elijah Burke on ECW this week, and is going to be involved in a ECW Orignals VS The New Breed 4 on 4 match at WM23. So I think he will stay in the dominant company.

ECW Originals vs The New Breed is such a key idea. I look forward to this at Wrestlemania. I also have noticed that RVD has been booked to his full potential. They certainly make him look dominant in the ring; as it wouldn't be very smart to make him look inferior while trying to resign him. He said he will make his final decision based on money. We all know Vince isn't shy with cash.

Haha that makes me laugh, all the TNA guys think that RVD is heading their way but like he said himself, whoever offers more... I'm sure Vince can offer more then TNA if it means keeping one of the upcomming stars under the WWE flag. Also the ECW Originals Vs. The New Breed will be good, I hope its extreme rules, that will create alot of intrest from the ECW brand... C'mon why do you tune in on Tuesdays, not to see singles matches when Snitsky interfears and beats everyone up, we wanna see hardcore dammit!

Sure, why would RVD care about wrestling more and get injured in a more frequent manner while he is better safe in WWE with less wrestling and though less injuries with extra cash than TNA!!
It will be a stupid decision for RVD to join TNA. He better stay in WWE (may change brands to go to Raw or SD) but never leave WWE.

Rihanna & Britney Set To Shock With ‘S&M’ Remix

Britney Spears may be unable to sing her own songs these days, yet that hasn’t stopped fellow Pop force Rihanna from enlisting the 29 year old for a remix to her latest single ‘S&M’.

Speculation of a Fenty / Spears duet has been gathering steam all week, with confirmation coming courtesy of Not Beyonce herself, who wrote on Twitter moments ago:
“I got a #SEXY collabo comin your way supa dupa soon!!!! OH YEAH!!! By popular demand. Its BRITNEY BITCH!!!! One of the biggest worldwide popstars! U gangsta #EPIC.”
As long time visitors know, we favour keeping it real around these sides. Hence, it’d be deceitful if we were to suggest ‘S&M’ wasn’t a great track. It is.

However, what really is Britney adding to the song beyond her name at this point? Ms. Spears’ own tracks sound ‘phoned-in’ at best these days and her videos/performances are…well…yeah.

That said, we’ll hold full judgement until hearing the track.

For the third time in four weeks, the lead for the most No. 1s in the history of Billboard’s Pop Songs chart changes hands, as Rihanna’s “S&M” rises 2-1 to become her record eighth topper on the tally.

The coronation breaks Rihanna out of a tie with Lady Gaga and P!nk for most No. 1s dating to the Nielsen BDS-based mainstream top 40 radio airplay ranking’s Oct. 3, 1992, launch.

The three-way deadlock between the female superstars didn’t last long. Lady Gaga notched her seventh No. 1, “Born This Way,” two weeks ago. That track had displaced P!nk’s “F**kin’ Perfect,” which had reigned the prior two weeks.

(Rihanna also fell just shy of the summit with three titles that peaked at No. 2: her debut chart entry “Pon De Replay” in 2005; “Unfaithful” in 2006; and, “Umbrella, featuring Jay-Z, in 2007).

“S&M” propels Rihanna to the honor of most Pop Songs No. 1s after the song had already granted her the mark for most top 10s four weeks ago. The track is her 18th Pop Songs top 10; Mariah Carey ranks second with 17.

Here is a recap of Rihanna’s unprecedented eight Pop Songs chart champions:

Year, Title, Weeks at No. 1
2006, “SOS” (one)
2008, “Take a Bow” (three)
2008, “Disturbia” (three)
2008, “Live Your Life” (two) (T.I. featuring Rihanna)
2010, “Rude Boy” (two)
2010, “Love the Way You Lie” (two) (Eminem featuring Rihanna)
2010, “Only Girl (In the World)” (three)
2011, “S&M” (one, to-date)

As previously reported, “S&M” last week became Rihanna’s record-setting fifth consecutive No. 1 on the all-format Radio Songs chart, besting streaks of four each by Destiny’s Child (2000-01) and Usher (2004).

All charts, including the Billboard Hot 100, where “S&M” has bulleted the last two weeks at No. 2 below Katy Perry’s “E.T.,” featuring Kanye West, will be refreshed Thursday (April 14) on Billboard.com.

Rihanna Sells Over 300,000 Tickets in the UK, Adds 10th O2 Arena Date

Rihanna is now a record breaking female solo artist with an incredible 10th headline date at London’s O2 Arena.

Rihanna is now, officially, the solo artist with the longest run of headline dates at London’s O2 Arena and thankfully, for us at least, who have had to update Rihanna’s tour schedule 10 times now, Rih-Rih’s tenth headline slot will be the last announced on her UK Loud Tour. Rihanna’s tenth O2 Arena date is set for December 20 and goes on sale this Friday.

Having just been nominated for the Best International Female Solo Artist at the BRIT Awards, we simply can’t get enough of Rihanna in the UK. You’d call the consistent adding of dates to her UK tour popular demand but this is about the ninth time we’ve announced new dates so we don’t think popular demand really comes close to what Rihanna is experiencing in the UK right now. The UK leg of her Loud Tour has been extended again and again, with huge venues, her singles are climbing and staying at the top of the charts and her new album is currently sitting pretty at the top of the pile.

After the smash hit success of her Rated R arena tour last year, Rihanna has announced that she is due to return to the UK in October 2011 to perform a series of dates on her Loud Tour. This will be the first chance UK audiences will get to see her performing her brand new mega-hit singles ‘Only Girl (In The World)’ and ‘What’s My Name’ from her new album ‘Loud’.

Rihanna’s Loud Tour UK dates are as follows…

Wednesday October 5: London O2 Arena [SOLD OUT]

Rihanna, Eminem, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars and Justin Bieber lead the finalists for the 2011 Billboard Music Awards, which were announced Wednesday morning (Apr. 13) at a press conference in Las Vegas.

Rihanna takes the lead as a finalist in 18 award categories, including Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Female Artist, Top R&B Artist and Top Dance/Electronic Artist. "Love the Way You Lie," her chart-topping collaboration with Eminem, places her as a contender in six song categories.

Meanwhile, Eminem is a finalist in 16 award categories, including Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Artist, Top Male Artist and Top Rap Artist.

Lady Gaga follows as a finalist in 12 categories, with three releases all competing for Top Dance/Electronic Album: "The Fame," "The Fame Monster" and "The Remix."

Pop heartthrobs Bruno Mars and Justin Bieber will each vie for 11 categories and face off for Top New Artist and Top Male Artist. Other Top New Artist contenders are Ke$ha, Nicki Minaj and Taio Cruz, whose song "Dynamite" is up for five awards including Top Hot 100 Song.

The winners will be announced at the Billboard Music Awards show airing live on ABC from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 22 at 5 PM PT. Tickets are on sale now at Ticketmaster.com.

The Billboard Music Awards take a holistic look at artist performance based on key fan interactions with music -- finalists and winners are determined by chart performance and social and streaming activity as chronicled in Billboard magazine and on Billboard.com during the eligibility period of Feb, 28, 2010 and Mar. 1, 2011.

The 46 award categories are based on measures provided by our data partners including sales data shared by Nielsen SoundScan, radio airplay monitored by Nielsen BDS, streaming data measured by Tubemogul and Nielsen BDS, social media consumption gauged by Next Big Sound and tour grosses tracked by Billboard Boxscore.

Today, Billboard launches a microsite for the 2011 Billboard Music Awards at www.Billboard.com/BBMA. Music fans can also follow news about the show and related events on Twitter (twitter.com/billboarddotcom) or Facebook (facebook.com/billboard)http://www.abcmedianet.com.

The 2011 Billboard Music Awards is co-executive produced by Richard Beckman, CEO of Prometheus Global Media, which owns Billboard, and Don Mischer of Don Mischer Productions.
