This game taps into the part of you that followed traffic laws for 15 minutes in Vice City when you were young. You lose a lot of the world building by playing on rails. The camp is meant to be abandoned for days on end. Arthur should spend weeks in the woods hunting, to the point of Javier checking in on him after being gone for so long.

That's why I got Arthur to draw all the points of interest in the parts of the map he could explore, I'm looking forward to seeing John's shitty drawings for the ones in the south later

Just finished this absolutely beautiful cinematic horse ride that came out of NOWHERE on my first playthrough. I think it's actually my favorite part of the entire game. This dude D'angelo WENT OFF

Looking forward to that was what got me through finding those goddamn snakes in Guarma

So I'm on chapter 6, the first part the chapter seems to be the "peaceful" part relatively speaking so I'm gonna start some side missions before progrssing the main story. The veteran ones are gonna be heartbreaking

I am at the point where I'm doing everything on Earth I can think of that makes sense between main missions bc everything just gets worse after each one

I've done most of the chapter 6 side missions already, also discovered a PC only one was added to consoles that I'd never even heard of lmao stumbled on it by chance when I ended up near fucking strawberry bc of a mission and decided to ride back the long way to camp

Since a great game and a well told story, but besides that it also accurately shows a time in American History where the old was dying off and the new was coming ahead. It is also one of two games to ever make me cry, the other being Red Dead I, and it is such a damn shame that Rockstar has done fuck all with it and instead focuses on GTA V, which is a far inferior game both story and multiplayer. The world feels "real" you can hang around the camp all day and here folk songs both American and Mexican, and the characters feel unique and different from the others. I can go on and on about how amazing this game is, but I am sure that would get tiresome.

Yeah I found this out through Googling but then found it in the sugar field in Guarma anyway so went ahead and got it lol

Ah, gotcha. I know way too much about this game, lol. Though if I start a new, I uninstall the updates and play like how it was when it was release due to being able to go to New Austin and completing the challenges

Yeah I kinda wanted to do that with Arthur just for his drawings but I felt like saving some stuff for John to do after the Epilogue is over should be fun

It's almost impossible to do anything in New Austin with Arthur.

Note to self: if you accidentally hit a chicken with your horse at Butcher Creek, the entire village will come at you with vengeance and you won't be able to start the side mission
