I finished the last mission of the main story last night and even though it goes straight into the Epilogue I just paused and put my PS4 in rest mode for the night I had to process

I just got approved for the loan to get Beecher's Hope with John and I stopped at the blackwater saloon for drinks and poker to celebrate and I've won like 5 straight hands and made $12.50 off a $5 buy in

Update: got the house built and wrote the letter to Abigail so she'll come back. I decided this was a good time to pause story missions to do some completionist stuff. I've now done all the bounty missions including former PC exclusives that were added during my hiatus of this save lol I'm working through getting the Bandit challenges done now which is actually kind of meh for me bc I actually don't like playing as an outlaw and I'm cringing every time I lose honor lol my canon is that it makes sense for John to resort to this stuff before his family gets back as he's stressing about the new life and having to pay back bank loans and what not. Made more sense than saving it for endgame to me like I probably will for the rest of the challenges and collectibles

Marston doesn't realize that it's not only his family that stops his outlaw lifestyle.....we saw that when the epilogue started, he's been relapsing the entire time.

It's not until he sees what happens to Micah and Dutch where the road ends if he doesn't stop fucking around.

So until that part.....outlaw away.

Bruh I stopped to play poker at Flatneck station on my way back to blackwater and i just had an Ace high straight, ended up betting crazy high along with one other dude....he had the same fucking hand so we split the pot I'm fuming

I just did one of the Evelyn Miller side missions as I take a break from being a criminal and doing the bandit challenges and I really wish they woulda put more strangers that were John exclusive lol I know I coulda saved some for him but they made way more sense to do them as Arthur so no. At least i have a ton of stuff to do after the main story is over still with him between the rest of the collectibles, challenges, and completing the compendium which will take ages

I've been having a lot of fun going through this really fucking slow tho, like I'm taking everything day by day lol camping at night and maintaining my diet as I have to stop and hunt for more food sometimes which I try to do realistically instead of just running up on some deer Rambo style even tho that works way better

And then I'll randomly stop and play poker for like 4 in game hours lol I think "today" I might just go into blackwater and stock up on supplies then get drunk and play poker before heading out to do more thievery in Valentine
