TV Official Game of Thrones Discussion Thread

Re: Game Of Thrones Discussion Thread

I'm still on A Storm of Swords. They're such long books. I wish I had a month off of work so I could just read them all!

Storm of Swords is the next one. Clash of Kings is Book Two. And I just read one of the most genuinely surprising things I think I've ever read in a book. That came out of NOWHERE!

Re: Game Of Thrones Discussion Thread

Yeah, I know. I read Clash of Kings. I just can't believe that I'm still on A Storm of Swords. I've been reading it for a while!

Which part are you referring to? Most people have watched season 2 so I think you can mention it.

That one part involving that one thing that happens to that one major contender for the throne. When they're at his camp with that other major contender and a dead guy's wife. It literally comes from out of NOWHERE, randomly, in the middle of a chapter, and the chapter doesn't even end there.

lol

There will be more shocks and twists. You probably won't be ready for those either.

This one affected me so much because it was so random. It doesn't begin or end a chapter, it just...happens. Just like that. In the middle of everything else that's going on. And you kinda go "wait, that just happened?"

New Season is coming soon!!!!

My favorite show on TV by far...lots of big shit from the books going down this year. New Promo is below pretty epic with littlefinger doing the voice over.

Season 2 just came out today. I'm rewatching it right now. Just a heads up, Season 2 on Blu Ray is only $29.99 on Amazon. That is a tremendous deal! Just thought I should let you guys know before the deal is over. There is a great interactive feature that tells you the names of all characters in a scene with small back stories as well as a map to tell where where they are at. Anyways I can't wait till the Season 3 premiere. Less than one month to go.

Got all caught up on this in time for the new season tomorrow :mark:

I haven't read any of the books, but the first two seasons have been so amazing, I didn't even plan on finishing in time for the new season, but once I started watching, I couldn't stop.

"Men Don't Need Nipples" quote of the night.

But yea was a solid return for the show, there's a lot going on similar to last year and they do a good job of juggling everything and having decent transitions from place to place. Still most interested in the stuff going on with Jon beyond the wall and hope to see what's going on with the rest of the Stark kids next episode.

Yeah, the stuff with Jon still interests me the most after last night's episode. Daenerys and that army was pretty great too, plus dragons :mark:

The nipples part was crazy.

Jon and Tyrion are really the only two storylines that interest me at the moment. Sure there are dragons but they don't ever do shit really don't suspect much out of them until next season. The Stark kids need to grow some balls and go to the capital already.

Couple of pretty big absences too. No Jamie. No giant shemale guard. None of the younger Stark children.
