Firstly, to TDK's comment that Airfixx quoted:
Dude, honestly, if you didn't know it was PG or whatever, would you know the difference? Raw is the same now, in terms of storyline quality, edginess, and all that, as it was in 2006. The only thing difference is less swearing.
Trust me, I'm the last one who would like "kid friendly" stuff, but how can you say this really is? A guy punting a boss in the head? A man RKOing a woman?
The fact is, yes, it has been "toned down" a bit, but I don't see it taking away from the progrm that much.
It'll be more attitudeish later anyways, is a few eyars. WWE is just trying to rebuild its audience, by attracting new fans (younger), because the old ones have pretty much moved on 9which is why ratings were down for like all of 2007). So they have to gain new fans, and the way to do that is get young fans. In a few years, once those fans are older, wwe will probably shift to more edgy material.
As for now though, it doesn't really both me.

I really enjoyed Raw last night.
Edge's promo was good, and it was good seeing him on Raw.
The matches, except the Kane one, were all pretty good, and so were the promos. I have to agree with noumenon though... Cena is getting fucking cheesy as hell.
But pretty solid Raw, with a few twists, and I enjoyed HHH showing up at the end.

I thought last night's Raw was good, I think the show is on the up-turn.
It was interesting to see Triple H turn up to defend Stephanie. Obviously they're married in real life, but on the show they got "divorced" years ago. Are they finally going to admit on the show that they're together?

They only have to go as far as saying she's the mother of his children.

He must've been squeezing a boot out of his ass.
...and people are considering this man for lead acting roles.

Life is stupid.

Thats what I thought, but they never officially recognised on Raw that they have kids. They got kayfabe divorced before it could happen.

awesome Raw:

Ending segment by far was the best partof the show - really looking forward to this feud.

I actually thought the Jericho/Piper segment was really f*cking(gotta keep it pg, lol) good. Loved the emotion in Piper's face/voice. Jericho beating him down was great too.

Edge promo prior to Cena interrupting and his "the champ is HERE" with the you can't see me hand shaking was priceless - loved him running around the ring saying - you were wrong, wand you were wrong and hey you little kid, in a few years you'll be wrong too. Cena was boring, r is for rematch, sounded like a blueberry on meds.

HBK poking JBL until his finger came out his bakcside (lol) was funny as all shit because I was like "OMG, that shit has to be the most annoying shit ever" and then HBK gets ready to leave and comes back and actually says what I was saying, lol.

4 1/2 outta 5 stars for this Raw (half taken away for women and Kane/Noble)

I'm really liking Raw right now. Though it does seem a lot more of a soap opera these days i'm still really enjoying all aspects of the show.

Oh and before i even go on does it not seem like the brands might be united for a little while here?

Vickie just said at the beginning of raw that when Shane and Steph are absent she's in charge and well... Randy just totally wtfowned them both.

Triple H coming to the aid of steph and shane is wierd from a oblivious kayfabe point of view unless you seriously wanna go down the road of Steph asking her ex-husband for help.

Can't see Triple H taking the reigns of Raw because well.. Vickie fucks with him a lot in SD and if he had/could have power all this time then wtf right.

Vickie being there would mean Edge is there and after the Edge/cena confrontation it's easy to say that this time around they're going to focus on promo's rather then matches. We've pretty much seen all that Edge/Cena has to offer anyway match wise, Right :dunno:

The promos will be solid anyway. Unlike last time they're going to be family friendly and will most likely be Cena chasing Edge around Raw and Smackdown while the rematch is booked for WrestleMania.

Triple H is going to run wild on Legacy and Legacy is going to run wild on Trips. Triple H will be on Raw but will Legacy be on SD?

Jericho has been shooting for weeks now. I don't know if it was writers and/or piper playing with me but the first thing piper said to jericho was. "im going to shoot with ya". They could be playing off of what has happened but either way it makes for great entertainment haha. He is really playing it ike he's engulfed in his role not breaking kayfabe on larry king and he punched a female fan for being obsessive and rude.

I like him more because he did it, but jesus christ i don't expect a face turn anytime soon

Santino's girlicious makeover suits the character completely. I like his timing on it too as i'm sure we're going to get jokes about Santino looking better then Beth and some of the other Divas. Which is probably the only entertainment i'll get from women matches. Santino is the womens divison.

Mike Knox and Rey were solid. Mike Knox is making sure everyone takes notices and Rey is looking better every week. Weak spots in the match but that's typical and expected. Really nice tilt-a-whirl, weak finish but whatever it was given time.

See my previous suggestion, they only have to play the "Mother of my children" card.

Thats what I thought, but they never officially recognised on Raw that they have kids. They got kayfabe divorced before it could happen.

I understand that, but "We didn't tell you X" is far more 'sellable' than "Oh, when we told you Y, it wasn't actually true".

What I suggested doesn't as such require WWE to break kayfaybe and call themselves liars.

Also worth noting that Steph's having kids HAS been mentioned on WWE TV.

Also... (I've yet to see Raw yet, but...) Just to put a proverbial spanner in the works:

Who says Orton is gonna CHOOSE to face an extremely psyched & pissed off HHH @ WM?

...Wouldn't it be smarter of him to take on a man with no overt motivation to set them apart?

^^^ See I was thinking the same as well, with Orton not challenging Triple H, but still who ever the World champ would be going into mania because you'd have to think that Orton would be smart enough to not challenge Triple H while he's that pissed with him, that's going to be a hard task to accomplish. But if he were to challenge the World Heavy Weight champ instead, wouldn't he think Triple H would still come after him and cost him his match? Orton would have to keep looking over his shoulder's the entire match.

Off of the subject.... was there any mention of MitB qualifiers last night.

...... and please keep Vickie off of RAW. I've had enough of her on SD that I turn the tv when she's on it. I missed most of the opening segment because of her.

good point airfixx on why would Orton choose to face HHH - I really don't know other than deciding that he could care less about HHH and his anger and that he is out to destroy the McMahons and HHH (who was the leader of Evolution and who turned on him) and build his own Legacy - they could go that route.

What if Orton decides to face Edge due to what you said. Then Cena is chasing after Edge so they make it a triple threat at mania and then out of the blue the throw HHH in the mix cause he wants Orton and we have a Fatal Fourway Unification match with Orton vs. Cena. vs. Edge. vs. HHH with Orton coming out as the undisputed champ (this leads to a future feud between a face Orton and heel Jericho)

What if Cena appears on SD this friday and beats Edge? ...That opens us back up for Cena/Orton if he chose the WHC. LOL

One thing I'm certain of, we won't be seeing Edge/Orton one-on-one.

As for the idea of a unification 4-way.... Only if it's an elimination match.

What..? Are you on drugs. That was the most brilliant performance I've probably seen on Raw. I guess a Blue dyked out birdie or twitchy voodoo witch character is much more praisable.

Are you looking at his face? He looks like he's taking Khali up his ass. Not Khali's cock, mind you, I mean the entire Khali. Headfirst. Up to the ankles.

He looks insane, imo, or moreso the way he use to when he was a crazy heel.

Orton or HHH? Cause both looked pretty fuckin nuts last night.
And as I said. I hope this is the return of a little more aggressive, Jeans, leather jacket...sledgehammer weilding psychotic HHH.
