Absolutely fucking terrible, this is the worst rating of the year, .05 lower than one of the ones during the DirecTV/Viacom dispute that was the previous lowest.
- In what has to be disappointing news going into the biggest event of the year, Thursday’s episode of Impact Wrestling drew 1,118,000 viewers for a 0.86 rating. In comparison, the Vice Presidential debate drew 51.4 million viewers and the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Tennessee Titans NFL game drew around 5.6 million viewers.
Last night's (Oct. 18, 2012) episode of Impact Wrestling scored just a 1.0 rating and an average of 1.25 million viewers for the two-hour show on Spike TV. That's the lowest for a post-Bound for Glory (BFG) episode in the last five years.
In fact, last year's post-BFG show did a record 2.02 million viewers.
There are obvious differences to consider when factoring in this year's rating. The MLB playoffs on FOX did six million viewers for the San Francisco Giants vs. St. Louis Cardinals game. Plus, the NFL Network had a Thursday Night Football game pitting the San Francisco 49ers against the Seattle Seahawks, which won the entire night on cable with seven million viewers.
Last year, TNA faced no competition from the NFL at this time.
