Thursday's TNA Impact Wrestling television show drew a 1.07 rating, up from the 1.03 rating the show drew last week. Impact averaged 1.35 million viewers compared to the 1.266 million viewers from the previous show.

Moving in the right direction but still some way off what they were getting before the switch to live.

Don't blame anyone for wanting to tune out on James Storm though.

Once again the first hour rates lower than the second, TNA really need to go back to the old start time. Great to see the Knockouts still outdraw everything else, would be good if they could actually get rewarded through that with decent pay. Surely if they draw the highest ratings they should be among some of the highest paid.

-- Thursday night's episode of iMPACT! Wrestling did a 1.02 (1.0) cable rating, with 1.3 million viewers. Those numbers are up from a 0.76 and 1.19 million viewers last week for the Thanksgiving episode, though it was down slightly from the last non-Thanksgiving episode which did a 1.07 and 1.25 million viewers.

The show rose a tenth of a rating point in the male 18 - 49 demographic while males 18 - 34 stayed even. The show ranked #34 among cable TV shows for the night in overall viewers, #26 among males 18-34 and #19 among males 18-49.

In addition, the quarter-hour ratings are below:

Q1: 0.92 rating - Hulk Hogan calling out Bully Ray, ring intros for the Knockouts match
Q2: 1.00 rating - Mickie James vs. Gail Kim, James Storm backstage with A.J. Styles, Hulk Hogan with X Division contenders, Bobby Roode promo
Q3: 1.00 rating - Christian York answering Roode's call-out, Bobby Roode vs. Christian York
Q4: 0.91 rating - Aces & Eights video, pre-taped Gut Check deliberations
Q5: 1.08 rating - A.J. Styles & James Storm vs. Daniels & Kazarian, Lockdown 2013 announcement
Q6: 1.02 rating - Samoa Joe backstage promo, Matt Morgan vs. Doug Williams, first part of Gut Check evaluation
Q7: 1.09 rating - Wes Brisco's Gut Check verdict, backstage confrontation between Hulk Hogan and Bully Ray
Q8: 1.04 rating - Rob Van Dam vs. Austin Aries, show-concluding stare down between Hogan and Bully Ray

Ratings are more consistent by quarter than I think I've ever seen.

After TNA's flagship program, Impact Wrestling, posted its lowest average ratings in six years in 2012, the promotion kicked off the new year by posting a solid rating last night (Jan. 3, 2013) on Spike TV.
The show scored a 1.14 rating for an average of 1.62 million viewers, the highest those numbers have been since late August of last year.

I didn't realise that last year TNA had it's lowest average rating for six years. I knew that it would have been lower than 2011 and 2010 but I didn't realise it had been that low. Good bounce back with the rating, maybe Sting returning did it for everyone.

The 1/17 episode of TNA Impact Wrestling drew a 1.15 cable television rating, with an average of 1.6 million viewers over two hours.

The wedding drew well. Can't find the breakdowns yet but this rating is around the same as the one for Sting's return two weeks back.

According to TV By The Numbers, Impact Wrestling airing on January 31, 2013 had 1,580,000 viewers (up slightly from 1,572,000 viewers). Impact Wrestling saw growth in the 18-49 demographic from 0.5 to 0.6. The show scored a 1.16 rating.

Enjoyed the show this week. Could see them getting a bit of a bump with the road shows coming up.

1.16 for 3rd week in a row as it writes in Wrestlenewz. Good that Impact Wrestling is getting better. I mean they are around the same ratings for few months but it was below 1.00, so its getting better. Also after TNA goes on the road I believe ratings will get better. Love the effort TNA is putting on to be a better company. Hope their hardwork pays off.

They have done well to hold that rating steady for a few weeks after having a terrible year last year with Impact. Going on the road should help make the show more appealing to the home viewers as well as it should produce a better atmosphere each week.

Last night's Impact Wrestling broadcast, which was the first show on the road under TNA's new taping system, finished with a 1.07 cable rating, which is down from the previous week's 1.13 rating.

I thought that it was an alright show and it was a much better presentation than their previous shows inside the Impact Zone. Next week is a taped show that they taped after this live show aired so it we can see how taping a show affects the rating.
