I dont understand people who say it's selfish to do a suicide. Its his/her own life, he/she can do whatever he/she want's with it. Now if you forbid someone from committing suicide, just because you dont want him/her to die, even though he/she doesn't want to live anymore, has a disease or something like that, well then you're the one who's selfish. My life, my book, I write it, and I can also decide if I want to stop writing it. Of course if someone asks help and doesn't actually want to die, then you must help him/her.

Give your two cents then, dude.
Fine bro.

I find it disgusting that people can even say its selfish, people have it really bad in this world, some people may not notice it because some people dont talk about it because you dont know what goes on behind closed doors, someone could seem to be the happiest person on earth but then as soon as their door closes they burst into tears and think of the unthinkable, trust me on that I know. "Just get over it, people have it worse than you" So I should suffer because other people have it worse? Its not being a coward, its not being selfish, its called being depressed. When you are depressed you see no future or anything good in life, if you feel your life is that bad that its unbearable you do what you need to do.

IMO, if a person truly feels their life is no longer worth living, then they have every right to off themselves. And I can think of several situations where suicide would be the preferable option. If I'm in a burning house and there's the threat of being burnt alive and I have a gun nearby and am able to get to it and shoot myself, then you better believe I'm eating the bullet (just like the dude on The Departed.) If I'm dying of a terrible disease that's gonna slowly eat away at me from the inside, then of course I'm gonna look for an easier and quicker way out. Etc., etc. I will agree that some younger people are drama queens though and are simply looking for attention. I'm especially thinking of the attempted suicide crowd, who are quite often just attention whores willing to resort to asinine attempts to get noticed.

If I ever did personally kill myself, I think I'd jump off a tall building, preferably a skyscraper. Despite being scared of heights, I've always had a fascination with very tall buildings and what it must feel like to fall from that far up. Sure, it'd leave quite the mess but it wouldn't be my mess to clean up.

Also I think people who do live streams of their suicide or threat it to people are horrible and sickening people.

winning the hardest lottery ever? How about powerball? There are billions of people who won the 'being born' lottery, but I don't have 300 million to show for my troubles.
The odds of the load your dad blew to be the one that impregnated your mom, plus you being the sperm that made it out of that load far outweigh the odds of winning the powerball. How many loads have you shot into a Kleenex, in a condom, or into a girl on the pill already in your life?

Actually, I've been in that position before, and trust me, I was being selfish. The only way you can live life to the fullest, is the way you choose it. And people always see the EASY way out. Key word, easy. They never think beyond that and that's where the problem begins.

I considered it years ago, it became quite the dangerous obsession, but I did not want to leave any mess behind like family having to trawl through my possesions, plus i then felt guilty so luckily i moved on.

I think if you are dead set and organised enough to not leave a mess, except sadness obviously, go for it.

It's cause people don't really think about who they're affecting while they decide to go on with it. I'm now in a position, if my life sucked, I know where I'd want to go and I know who I would want to talk to. Plus, I've expanded my mind in a way, that I have many options rather than one.
