Information on Pay-Per-View Buys for WWE's Hell In a Cell and Battleground Events

WWE updated Key Performance Indicators today and it reveals that Battleground and Hell In a Cell drew a combined estimated 363,000 pay-per-view buys.

No word yet how that averages out but Hell In a Cell was slightly up from last year, which drew 199,000 buys. Battleground was one of the lowest bought WWE pay-per-views since Over the Limit 2011, which drew 140,000 buys.
it was Cena's return, HBK was involved and we were promised a definitive winner and new WWE Champion in the Main Event. So the hype was there for that HIAC show.

Though sure it will be somebody else's fault though.

Way to skim over Battleground.....the one where everyone thought Daniel Bryan was getting the belt.

Y U so low PPV buyz?

See I can cherry pick numbers too!

"The company's biggest star ever" return was announced 2 weeks before the show that should count more than some "troll" winning the belt

LOL because the new top babyface, and supposed babyface of the year isn't important? Atleast, you finally admit it.

Thought Daniel Bryan was the new Steve Austin facing the Authority.

Only "troll" here is you attempt. keep working at it.

Again, one show had two HIAC matches and John Cena. The other show had none of those.

HIAC matches, better build-up, the fact that Battleground as a first time PPV squeezed in between NOC and HIAC but that is all you need to know about the differences in the buyrates. It actually has very little to do with DB, Orton or the Authority.

OR..........You could easily say the HIAC was the second PPV in one month, 2 weeks after the much shat upon Battleground, which left everyone spitting venom.

LOL see how easy it is? Daniel Bryan headliner, CM Punk co-maineventer...you get PPVs that are the worst since 2011. Using the same logic you are.

Did you even read the story? It says HIAC was up from last year btw.

I am sorry but it was not headlined by punk AT ALL, he was in a mid card match, you somehow forget that RANDY ORTON was in the main event as well and I am a orton fan, but to excuse him but bash punk shows you don't like punk and have a bit of a biased against Cm punk, and bryan.

Why is Bret listed in your favorites if you care about drawing so much?

Battleground and Hell in a cell didn't do well because they are poorly organized PPV's and had next to no proper build up besides the shit storm that was the wwe title matches.

This is on creative not Bryan, Punk, Cena or Orton those 4 and the rest of the roster can only do so much with what there given and on top of that this authority storyline did nothing more then hurt Bryans momentum and its only the fans that are keeping him in such a high place right now.

As for Punk he's in a midcard freaking match for a rivalry that should've ended at Summerslam and not gone on any further.

Just to put things in some perspective - Battleground had one of the lowest buy rates since Over The Limit 2011, a PPV headlined by then World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton and WWE Champion John Cena.

Sometimes people just aren't interested in buying a PPV, no matter who's on it.

punk13, why are you acting like the HIAC buyrate was such a failure?

What a weak dig.

Bret Hart still drew more than CM Punk and Daniel Bryan put together. Him and Bulldog still hold the legit largest WWE crowd. LOLZ.....During the bad times of steroid trial.....Thats a fact.

And again, did you even read the story? It says Cena drew higher than Punk and Ryback last year.
