Last night’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW scored a 3.3 cable rating with hours of 3.26 and 3.39. This week’s show averaged 4,777,000 viewers.

Big increase after a 2.7 rating last week. I think that the John Cena/Nexus storyline drew the fans in this week, that was the major result at HIAC PPV and nothing else would have brought everyone back. Hopefully WWE can build on this and get the rating back to where it should be which is 4.0 and above.

This past Friday’s edition of WWE SmackDown! on SyFy, the third edition of the show on the SyFy Network, scored a final cable rating of 1.9 according to Nielsen Media Research.

The 1.9 number is up slightly from the rounded-up 1.8 last week, which was a notch above the 1.7 the show drew the week before for the debut of SmackDown! on the new network.

It is a good sign that the rating is increasing each week but that number is still poor. It should at least be in the mid 2's on the new network.

Jim Ross noted on Twitter that last night’s edition of WWE Raw scored a 3.1 cable rating with 4,500,000 viewers on the USA Network.

They are still stuck around that low 3 rating. They are going to need big changes in order to get the rating around 4 which is where it should be. Hopefully they can have a big rating next week. It is a three hour RAW, it is Old School RAW and it is the go home show for Survivor Series.

The November 15th special three-hour edition of “Old School” WWE Raw scored a 3.1. Raw scored a 3.2 rating in the show’s usual timeslot. The show scored hours of 2.74, 3.2 and 3.22.

So there was a small increase in the rating when you just focus on the regular timeslot. I thought that it was a good show, it was a lot of fun and it did a lot to promote the PPV which was key. Supposedly if this rating is good enough for WWE officials they will run another Old School RAW next year so fingers crossed this is high enough.

Last night’s edition of WWE Raw did a 3.3 cable rating off hours of 3.26 and 3.34 with 4,850,000 viewers.

The slight increase would have to do with the fallout from SS. John Cena being fired would have brought some extra viewers so people could see whether he was actually gone or not.

Hopefully next week The Miz being WWE Champion will bring in a lot more viewers.

What do you think the rating will be for next week, the first show with the Miz as champion?

The Nov. 29 episode of Raw drew a 3.1 cable rating with 4,760,000 viewers over the course of three hours.

The show’s usual time slot garnered a 3.4 cable rating with 5,125,000 viewers. Raw drew hours of 2.65, 3.35 and 3.41.

In the normal timeslot there was an increase over last weeks rating which is good for The Miz's first show as champion. Of course more than one show is needed to see what the ratings will be like during the AWESOME Era.

Smackdown did a 2.54 rating and 3,812,000 viewers. The show did hours of 2.49 and 2.59. Obviously, that blows away what they usually do Fridays on SyFy. USA is not going to take on another wrestling series (at least not at this time) but being on the more powerful USA network is not the only reason that the show did a better number. It also helped to be on Tuesday, a night when more people watch TV. SyFy should consider moving the show to Tuesday or Wednesday if they want the rating to improve.

First of all this is a great rating for Smackdown, it is much much higher than what it was doing on SyFy. I really like the point that pwinsider make about SyFy should consider moving the show to tuesday or wednesday rather than friday when most people are out. Actually this deserves it's own thread.

The 12/27 edition of Raw did a 3.1 rating with 4,557,000 viewers. The show did hours 2.99 and 3.19. The NFL game on ESPN did a 12.98 rating with 19,137,000 viewers, so it gave stiff competition.

Pretty strong competition there from the NFL however that should be expected each week during football season. 3.1 is around the average rating RAW has been doing lately and it is still pathetic but that is the size of the fanbase that is out there these days. Would take a miracle to get a 4.0 rating again.

I think what WWE should do is move Smackdown to USA Network that way there both of WWE's flagship brands are on the powerful USA Network & shows are back to back n both live. Then USA is owned by NBC, I say for a Sunday night prime time show they put that supposedly return of Tough Enough show on NBC Sunday nights @ 9PM - 10PM I would then remove wwe superstars from the WWE product all together. Bring back NXT to maybe lets say NBC on a Thursday night @ 9PM - 10PM? Those are my suggestions. Keep the 2 blockbuster shows on the highest rating nights for prime time TV n also on the same network. Then put WWE's 2 side shows on NBC during the prime time spot later on the week but on night where the next day is still a work day there for people are not out late n are home watching tv before bed there for chances of a good rating on WWE's secondary programs are worth a shot. But thats just my thoughts

Not sure if USA Network would give them prime time two nights a week. Yes RAW has helped them immensely in the ratings war against the other networks but I can't see them giving up another night for wrestling. It would help Smackdown's ratings a lot being on a bigger network though since they would get more exposure then just being on SyFy which still doesn't add up. I don't mind the Superstars program but then again I wouldn't miss it if they dropped the show. Tough Enough on the weekend would be a great idea since there wouldn't be that much competition and it should draw a good rating on a Sunday night.

Last night’s WWE Raw did a 3.3 cable rating off hours of 3.32 and 3.26 with 4,900,000 viewers on the USA Network.

Still can't move from around that low 3 rating. A 3.5 would look pretty good right now which is a bit sad. Hoping that leading up to WM we start getting some much better shows which will then translate into better ratings.

Last Friday’s go-home to Royal Rumble edition of Smackdown did a 2.01 cable rating with 3,024,000 viewers on SyFy.

That is one of the biggest ratings I remember seeing since Smackdown went to SyFy. Promising that the rating increased before the Royal Rumble which is what WWE will want to happen. Hopefully Smackdown can build on this rating since normally they put out a good show.

As noted before, the January 31st episode of WWE RAW scored a 3.48 cable rating with 5.29 million viewers. This was the most viewers for RAW since March 29th, 2009, the night after WrestleMania where Shawn Michaels gave his farewell. This was also the highest rated episode of RAW since August 30th, 2009, the 900th episode special.

This week’s show opened strong with a 3.81 quarter rating. In a segment breakdown, Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov vs. Nexus lost 784,000 viewers, which is very bad for that point in the show. Randy Orton punt kicking Husky Harris and the confrontation with Ted DiBiase & Jerry Lawler gained 337,000 viewers.

Daniel Bryan vs. Tyson Kidd lost 304,000 viewers where Edge vs. The Miz gained 220,000 viewers in the 10pm segment. This is better than last week’s Edge vs. Miz at 10pm segment but still low.

Eve Torres & Natalya vs. LayCool and the Usos vs. Mark Henry & The Great Khali dance-off lost 129,000 viewers. The preview of The Chaperone with Triple H lost 172,000 viewers while the RAW Rumble main event gained 1,198,000 viewers and did a 4.04 final quarter rating. This was the first time RAW had an overrun rating of over 4.0 in a while.

Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

The Royal Rumble did it's job and pushing new stars during the PPV helped increase interest in RAW resulting in the higher rating. The figures for the mainevent are fantastic even if the match was quite sloppy.

Shows how badly WWE have booked the tag team division when it loses 750k viewers. The viewers don't care anymore just like WWE don't care. A comedy tag team against Nexus clearly didn't work so maybe if they put the titles on a proper tag team it will help rating viewers. The dance-off between tag teams also lost viewers, you would think that an actual match would have kept people watching.

Hopefully RAW can hold and build on this rating during the next couple of months heading into WM.

The hype from the return of The Rock, the road to WrestleMania and the interest in the 2-21-2011 promo led to Raw doing a solid 3.9 rating, with 5,860,000 viewers. The show did hours of 3.85 and 3.85. As I mentioned over the last few days, this is exactly what WWE was hoping for in the ratings.

Excellent rating for RAW. Just shows what some good booking can do for the show. The Rock back certainly helped and everyone wanting to see the wrestler from the 2-21 promo kept people tuned in. It was a good show and it did deserve a high rating like this.

Can WWE break a 4 rating before they hit Wrestlemania?

Generally this is not surprising. After whatever sorry PPV is before Wrestlemania WWE actually starts to make sense booking wise and does PHENOMENAL shows. Which usually involves higher ratings. The ratings again drop off after one month or so; regardless, it is awesome to see the ratings are improving.
