Antonio Cesaro will now be simply known as Cesaro in WWE going forward. WWE has already updated his profile to reflect the change along with his official Twitter account.

Hmm..apparently this is supposed to start off his new face turn and split from the Real Americans. I don't mind it honestly. Its not like its a full change like they did with Curtis Axel. This is like when Dave Batista was shortened, and when Christopher Daniels was shortened.

Newsworthy, shortened a name for cosmetic reasons.

Atleast it's a lastname, unlike Divas. Probs get a first name when he is in a position of power like a GM.

WWE Intercontinental Champion Big E Langston's name on Twitter and the WWE website now just says "Big E." There are still mentions of "Langston" in his Superstar bio but he's now being referred to as just Big E
Can totally see them doing the same with Erick Rowan and just calling him Rowan soon.

That's how you push people now, ONE NAME.

People need one name to chant so they don't all confused like Daniel Bryan chants

This is all leading up to the debut of Antonio Langston.

Could catch on, I think Cesaro is kinda cool.

Well, I say 'catch on'. More likely it will be totally forced and the change will go blatantly unacknowledged. Wouldn't be so awkward if they'd done this earlier is my point.

Can totally see them doing the same with Erick Rowan and just calling him Rowan soon.
Harper too, as they call them Harper and Wyatt enough to drop the first names.

I think 2 names can fit for Roman Reigns, Daniel Bryan, and Bray Wyatt. I do prefer one word names or at least unique names like The Undertaker, The Miz, Triple H, etc.

I think it depends on the person but some wrestlers have simply gone over using just one or two syllable names. Easier for them brain damage, redneck wrestling fans to remember.

I don't mind this change at all, though. Should be fun to see him get a solid push since Swagger is laggin' despite the fact I am a huge REAL American fan.

More thinking it's more for those fans who try chant his and fuck it up....now all they got is "Cessaro! Cessaro! Cesarro!" and not fuck it up with that clap after every four syllable name.

Personally, I don't like one name characters, Sheamus should have his O'Shaugnessy.

Actually really dislike this decision and I don't know why because I know it won't be a big deal. Just seems so weird to only hear him referred to as Cesaro now even that that's what he was called most of the time anyway. Seems pretty pointless when the name was fine in my opinion. But like I said, not a big deal so this is the last I'll complain about it.

Only reason Im ok with Sheamus name is fans may just say SOS ... That shit doesn't vibe with Kofi on the roster and his music

Because people just can't chant "Sheamus" like they always did? Some wrestling fans are Blue and slaves to trends, but c'mon a little credit here.

I'm perfectly fine with this, then again, I didn't see the problem with his full name. Going to be pretty bummed out of the Real Americans split. But Cesaro is a hard worker and deserves this.

Apparently they've dropped "Langston" from Big E. as well.
