match just felt sloppy in general. no direction.

Right and Sasha/Bailey didn't fall apart when they botched suplex sequence.

Not even this match, anything on NXT is automatically great and then it's on Raw or Smackdown and it dies.

Some of that is on commentary. NXT commentary spends a great deal of time actually building guys and girls up. The likes of Mojo get talked up as much as a champ when they are working a match by the booth. That doesn't happen on raw or sd all the time.

NXT things sometime get the perfect world. Intimate crowd that watches them grow, announce booth that puta them over and doesn't go off on tangents, video packages, and optimal ring time.
