Only 347 (as of December 2011) people have managed to climb the seven summits-the highest peak on all seven continents. John Layfield will be attempting to plant a Bermuda flag on the top of the highest peak of every continent in an effort to raise money for kids in Bermuda through the Family Centre. This will take place over a 2 year period.

Basically JBL is doing charity work and WWE is sponsoring him to do so, I spotted this on WWE.com and figured I'd look around and find out the entire deal about it. He's unsuccessfully climbed Mt. Elbrus because of bad weather but will return.

Do you think JBL will do it? What do you make of WWE sponsoring, what do you make of this gesture over all?

DISCUSS!

Very cool thing for JBL to do, and for WWE to sponsor it. I've always had respect for Bradshaw, but it definitely went up with him doing this.

Been following this on his facebook page for weeks. He was training hard in NYC for it too. He climbed something like 500 flights of stairs in a day not too long ago.

He looks like he's lost a lot of weight and it's unfortunate about the storm, he seems geniunly upset about having to turn back.

But like many people said, he's done way more than anyone else would.

I'd rather have JBL on TV than this but it's still a nice gesture.

JBL is a class act. I've been following some of his summit stuff on his facebook. He seems like he really cares about this which is really nice to see.

Glad WWE got behind him in as well. Best of luck to him.

Former WWE champion JBL released a YouTube video suggesting he is stopping his mountain climb quest of Mt. Elbrus. JBL, who is battling frostbite, says he was at 17,000 feet of the climb with another 4-5 hours to go. However, bad weather is supposed to be rolling in where he's located, prompting "one of hardest and saddest decisions I have ever made" to end the quest.
