WWE sources optimistic on CM Punk vs. Stone Cold

yeah that's another reason why I don't want it. No way in hell it lives up to the hype, and for a feud to get to that level it would require some level of physicality leading up to it, which I doubt would happen.

None of this is because I was at WrestleMania 38 and I want to say I was at Austins last match.... (considering I'm going to Mania 40 where this match would happen it doesn't matter).

I definitely agree with one part there. Definitely don’t do it if Austin isn’t planning on being there every week for it. We would need at least six weeks of Austin and punk throwing back-and-forth jabs at each other and promos. It’ll be the best TV in ages.

I like KO and everything but he was not someone that would’ve been on my list of dream opponents for Steve to come out of retirement for. I think if done, right, the one with punk would be way better.

I do agree with this. KO killed that shit by running down Texas until Stone Cold actually showed up in Texas to kick his ass.

Dale and I are on the same page. It’s not that the stuff with KO was bad, it’s just that it can be better.

My other point was just I don’t personally want KO to be Austin’s final opponent. Again, the program was fine, but it wasn’t a dream to see it like the Punk match is for me.

Yep, but to be fair Stone Cold didn’t feel comfortable to do it until the KO match.

In one interview Austin blames management for not telling him quick enough. He said he wanted six months to be in shape. By the time they offered the match to him, he said he’d be in no condition.
