I just really fucks with the OG monster movies like Nosferstu and Frankenstein plus the (hot take alert) SUPERIOR sequel, Bride of Frankenstein

Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, and Son of Frankenstein is the greatest Horror Trilogy ever. And yes, Bride of Frankenstein is superior in every technical aspect.

There's some good OG monster movies, but I doubt if you were just including those, they would fill up a majority of your top 100.

True but I think they would be in upper tier at least, its hard for me to make lists lmao I'm better at just talking about what i like

70's was peak Giallo and Supernatural gothic horror. You have movies like Deep Red, Suspiria, Dawn of the Dead, Friday The 13th, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, It's Alive, The Omen, The Exorcist, Jaws, Alien, etc coming out around the time and then you have the super obscure horror hits like Last House on The Left, The Sentinel, Black Christmas, Phantasm, The Hills Have Eyes, and When A Stranger Calls.

Don't lump Friday the 13th into the 70s. All 8 of Paramounts films were in the 80s.

70s was great for Italian horror, but I was mostly meaning US and Canadian films. I'm sure there's still good horror overseas.

I also wasn't discounting the 70s, just asking why you were discounting the 80s.

Don't lump Friday the 13th into the 70s. All 8 of Paramounts films were in the 80s.

A lot of 80's films kinda follow the same formula as each other and at times blend together.

Give me a killer with a mask and have him or her slash up teens.

Did you watch the Fun House segment? Bray does like Finn and IS conflicted, but the Fiend got to remove the Finn.

Thriller's are designed to create tension and suspense. Horror Movies overlap into Thrillers more often than not.

I grew up on horror movies.....figured out the formula and ruined it for myself....I know when every jump scare and fake out to jump scare is happening. Know all the tropes and cliches.

Best Horror movies are the ones that don't need to show you the scare but fucks with your head. Jump scares shit like that all great but the ones that break your mind make you question everything .
