WWE Smackdown
August 5th, 2004
Houston, Texas

Backstage: NEW GM Theodore Long is standing in front of a Vince picture and an MLK picture side-by-side. He says one man had a dream and the other had a vision, separately they shaped his world and inspired him to dream. Now, every day they inspire him to make Smackdown a better place. He says if you thought last week was good, this week will be better. HOLLA! HOLLA! HOLLA!

#1 Contenders Match for the United States Championship: John Cena vs. Rob Van Dam
So, this gets a ton of time and they continue this lowkey out of nowhere good chemistry they have like it's shockingly good. They work this like it's a big deal, chain wrestling and counters to start, which is neither guy's strong suit, it might be their worse but it's so smooth and crisp like where have these two been for the past 7 months? Both men have a counter for the others signature stuff, so they have to alter their game or come up with stuff on the fly just to get an inch of offense in. Cena starts resorting to some of his old heel stuff to that's fun, he doesn't go full heel but his desperation and facial expressions on not putting RVD away are great. RVD's kicks are nasty tonight, and credit to Cena he was leaning in and eating everything not putting his hands up to block. RVD busts out a sweet legdrop off the top for two, but Cena comes right back with a desperation spike DDT for two. Cena starts getting aggressive with back elbows, he does the 5 MOVES OF DOOM! He heads up top, but RVD stops him with a straight kick to the jaw. RVD hits a superplex but Cena cradles the legs for the inside cradle for the win. I guess Cena got one of his arms up during the pin. ***

Backstage: In the locker room, Booker is pissed that Cena won when Teddy comes in, he says he knows he can beat Cena and Cena can beat him. So he makes this a best of 5 series for the US Title. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! #1 Match at SummerSlam.

Eddie Guererro drives out in a sweet yellow low rider, he has Torrie, Dawn, and Sable with him. He still has Kurt's stuff which is set up in the ring. Eddie says the countdown has started, 10 DAYS TILL HE GETS TO KICK KURT'S ASS! But the auction on wwe.com ends tonight, he gets the girls to sign some of the items. Like the cast which Torrie puts on her leg, the wheelchair and the picture of Kurt that Eddie drew on. Eddie says Kurt will be wrestling for the first time since he beat him at WrestleMania XX, 5 months ago. He talks about how SummerSlam is WWE'S VERSION OF THE SUMMER GAMES~ and promises to leave everyone in the starting blocks. He then shows his Olympic parody commercial where he glued the feet of the competing runners to the starting blocks.

Rene Dupree (w/FiFi) vs. Orlando Jordan
Rene dominates for 99% of the match, but he gets cocky and does the FRENCH TICKLER! But OJ comes off the top with a crossbody for the win.

In the parking lot; WWE CHAMPION JBL pulls up. Josh Mathews goes to interview him, but JBL cuts him off and says he's been speaking around the country, and he's been asked if he's afraid of The Undertaker. Like another great American F.D.R. who went by his initials said, there is nothing to fear but fear itself, and he's going to call out The Undertaker in the ring tonight.

Kurt Angle (w/Luther Reigns) vs. Charlie Haas (w/Miss Jackie)
JESUS! Kurt looks rough like the drugs is making his arms look small while his chest and stuff look ripped. It's weird. Real good mat and counter wrestling exchange to start, I like that Taz and Cole talk up Kurt's ring rust so Charlie might have a chance not only to win the mat wrestling but to win the match. They shift from the wrestling into more of the Kurt/WWE style, I like that Haas is right with Kurt and sometimes one step ahead, as Taz now drops all the ring rust is gone. LOL Losing all the ring rust after 4 minutes, 7 if we're including the commercial. Kurt begins targeting the mid-section with knees and body submissions, Haas doesn't sell because he now doesn't give a fuck IDK! Kurt ends up hitting the Angle Slam, followed by the Ankle Lock for the win. **3/4

RAW REBOUND!

WWE Tag Team Championships: Billy Kidman & Paul London vs. The Basham Brothers
WHY THE FUCK DO THE BASHAMS HAVE A TITLE MATCH? Decent showing for the champs I guess, Bashams are still boring and just meh, and this has way too much Kidman. At least he's selling so he's not completely useless. London has a fun hot tag and debuts his 450 Splash to win.

Backstage: Spike and Rey WALK~!

Heidenreich/Heyman promo :mjcry

Rey Mysterio & Spike Dudley vs. The Dudley Boyz
This is fine, Spike hurts his knee a minute in after a dropkick so he sells on the floor the entire time. So we get Rey vs. Dudleyz for 4 minutes which is cool. Rey has a couple of nice comebacks, but the numbers catch up to him, they end up hitting the 3D for the win. After the match; Spike hobbles in and helps Rey up, BUT SPIKE KICKS HIM IN THE DICK WITH HIS "HURT" LEG. HE HUGS THE DUDLEYZ! He says to get the tables, and they bring one in. They put Rey on it, and Spike hits Rey with a Double Stomp off the top through the table, and they parade Spike around the ring.

Kinda of a weird time for the heel turn, he already has the title, but whatever, I guess they needed a heel cruiserweight.

WWE Champion JBL is in the ring, he says he use to be one of you Texans but is glad he now lives in NYC. He says he's not afraid of The Undertaker, and he calls him out right here and right now. COME OUT AND FACE THE GREATEST WWE CHAMPION OF ALL TIME! A midget Undertaker comes out :lmaolmao:lmaolmao:lmao JBL keeps talking shit until Mini-Taker enters the ring, he gets in, and JBL says he looks a lot bigger on TV. JBL gets down on his knees to look him in the eyes and says he's not a little wee bit intimidated by him. He makes about 5 short jokes before JBL going for the Tombstone the midget, but the lights go out, and real Taker is in the ring behind him. JBL says he hates midgets and throws it at Taker, who just bumps off the real Taker :lmao JBL fake leaves again but Taker doesn't fall for it. He kicks him in the head, but Orlando Jordan comes out and saves JBL WAT!

L0sDWJf.gif

BUT FUCK ALL THAT! LITTLE TAKER DOES THE TAKER TAUNT NEXT TO THE REAL TAKER <3 2004 IS THE GREATEST YEAR EVER! Taker is not amused so he Chokeslams the little guy.

WWE World Heavyweight Champion: Chris Benoit
WWE Intercontinental Champion: Edge
WWE World Tag Team Champions: La Resistance
WWE Women's Champion: Trish Stratus

WWE Monday Night RAW
August 9th, 2004
Cleveland, Ohio

Coachman is in the ring with the Diva Search Divas, Coach goes to tell us whos been eliminated but Randy Orton interrupts. He grabs Coach's mic and tells up that Chandra is eliminated. He yells at her to get out, and she's a loser, just like Benoit is gonna leave the ring a loser this Sunday. He says it must hurt knowing deep down that everything you've worked for is gone it can be $250,000 or the World Title. He says people are witnessing history, this is the last time he will be without the World Title. He then shows the footage of last week when he pinned Benoit. The Divas have now left the ring. He says it's DESTINY! pop-quiz, what did you do when you were 24? pay off the student loan? new car? move out of your parent's basement? WELL, I PLAN ON BECOMING THE YOUNGEST WORLD CHAMPION IN HISTORY! AND NOBODY WILL STOP ME FROM HAVING MY DATE WITH DESTINY! Benoit comes out now, he says he has footage of his own, him making him tap out. Orton shoves him and says there is no footage, he keeps poking him until Benoit locks him in the crossface. Orton taps. So Benoit breaks the hold and shows the footage.

Stacy Keibler, Nidia & Victoria vs. Molly Holly, Gail Kim & Jazz
NO!

Trish Stratus then comes out, Trish begins talking to them off mic and all the ladies leave together. Okay, then.

REGAL/HHH RECAP!

William Regal and Eugene are in a hotel, Regal is pretty banged up and Eugene says he doesn't want to be here, he has a match tonight. Regal says it's not wise to go now and says if they go now Evolution would just jump them and he's in no condition to fight. He goes to rest and tells Eugene to stay, but he LEAVES THE HOTEL ROOM!

SMACKDOWN REBOUND!

Backstage: Matt Hardy finds Lita alone in the dark, she says Matt might not want to go forward with this contract signing tonight. She says the doctors did the paternity test, and KANE IS THE DAD!!!!! FUCK YEAH! Matt starts kicking shit and leaves. What a chump.

JR is in the ring, with the classy red mat, table, and chairs. KANE comes out laughing and smiling away. Matt immediately comes out before JR can even introduce him. JR explains that if Kane wins, he'll marry Lita, but if Matt wins, Kane will cease all contact with Matt and Lita. (Even though Kane is the father of Lita's kid, so, Matt will be the sucka to raise another man's kid that he works with :lmao) God bless pro-wrestling. They all sign, and Kane starts laughing hysterically and says it turns out he's more man than Matt will ever be, Matt loses his shit and flips the table onto Kane. He then hits him with the briefcase that the contract is in. Matt and Lita leave, but Kane sits up.

Backstage: Coach has the Raw Divas sell us on Icecream, Joy rubs it on her tits and adds sprinkles so she wins. The rest just talk about it and lick it. what a bunch of losers.

Edge vs. Chris Jericho
Bruh, I don't remember this at all, but shit it gets 18 minutes. This is kinda weird like it's not worked as two friends going through a rough patch, but still, have respect cause they're not breaking clean and are taking shortcuts a lot. Edge is also tapping into his tweener faze, really aggressive. It's basically I'll get my shit in, then you do yours on loop. Jericho targets Edge's lower back but it only goes on for so long, before Edge just doesn't care. Jericho's selling, however, is great, Edge works the mid-section and Jericho sells it for 80% of the way the rest of the match. The match does pick up a lot when they start trading moves, and counters and near falls. For some reason, Jericho tries these running LARIATS! like he's Batista, he obviously doesn't get the KO like Batista does. This keeps going, I do like that 99% of Edge's offense was centered around Jericho's hurt mid-section. The match ends when Edge sends Jericho into the turnbuckles chest first, but Jericho avoids the spear because he saw it coming on the tron. So, Edge crashes headfirst into the turnbuckle and rolls him up with his feet on the ropes for the win. ***

After the Match; Batista rushes down and kills Edge with spinebusters and the KNOCKOUT LARIAT! As Jericho watches on and walks off.

Eugene arrives at the arena.

Eugene makes his way down to the ring, he begins yelling for Triple H, but HUNTER IS NOT IN THE BUILDING! HE'S AT THE HOTEL! FUCK YEAH! Hunter says he knows Eugene is mad, but he's mad at the wrong guy, he shouldn't be mad at him, he should be mad at himself. Triple H said he tried to warn him and told him to get out of the business, but he didn't listen, and that's the problem. He doesn't listen. He says you really think I was just gonna let it go when you cost me the world title. So he sent him a message last week with what he did to William Regal, but again you didn't get the message. Hunter says Regal even told you to stay, but here you stand in the ring. BUT HERE I AM! AT YOUR HOTEL ROOM! Regal is again blooded up and Hunter is standing over him. He starts beating the shit out of Regal and yells at Eugene are you listening to him, and says at SummerSlam he's gonna make the decision to leave the business for him. Eugene quickly leaves the ring and cries all the way to the back.

Diva Search Divas' are in bikini's YAY! But, Trish Stratus and the rest of the Raw Divas' come out, Trish says Eric has booked a competition, it will be the RAW divas vs. them in a dodgeball challenge @ SummerSlam.

Backstage: Hunter is now back at the arena with blood all on his knucks, he says he knows Eugene and Regal got the message. And Benoit is up next.

Triple H & Randy Orton (w/Ric Flair) vs. Chris Benoit
Eugene was supposed to be Benoit's partner, but the blueberry screwed up and has gone back to his hotel. So, yeah this is fucking great. We get Hunter/Benoit and Benoit/Orton for 10 minutes, Benoit takes the fight to both men early he keeps knocking Orton off the apron to fight Hunter in the ring. But the numbers and Flair's distraction allows Evolution to take over. They work on Benoit's chest and head, they get so aggressive and just take turns beating the shit out of Benoit who bumps and sells like no one else can. Benoit has these brief flurry of comebacks, with chops and forarms but the numbers are too much. He does eventually make that big comeback as the match breaks down, with all 3 in. Benoit counters the pedigree by backdropping Hunter to the floor, he locks in the sharpshooter in on Orton but Flair pops up, so Benoit decks him. Benoit then counters the RKO into the crossface but Flair comes in for the DQ. After the match; Benoit continues to fight off Flair and Orton, but Triple H hits him with a pedigree. He grabs a chair but Eugene comes down and attacks him, Hunter bails so Eugene takes out both Flair and Orton single-handedly. SMH! the only thing that upset me about the match was both Benoit and Orton wearing red, PET PEEVE TRIGGERED! ***

Man the hotel must be right next door to the building.

WWE Tag Team Champions: Billy Kidman & Paul London
WWE Cruiserweight Champion: Spike Dudley

WWE Smackdown
August 12th, 2004
Joe Louis Arena: Detroit, Michigan

JBL and Orlando Jordan come down to the ring, JBL's first hire as WWE champion was a gay, negro. Give this man some type of award. JBL says as one of the former great US presidents Richard Nixon said "I am not a midget" JBL says Taker may thing beating up a little person may intimidate him, but it didn't. He says for the last 14 years Undertaker has beaten them all, and he did not become Rich and Champion, by not having a plan. He says he knows Taker's weakness and has a plan. He says Taker looks to have the edge on paper, championships are won in the ring. He talks about how nobody thought he would win or keep the title, but unlike the shoddy machines made in Detroit, he's built to last. JBL then "GUARANTEES" at SummerSlam he will remain champion and will beat the Undertaker. He says the respect and love for him is now too much that he has to hand over the mic to his new "Chief of Staff" Mr. Olando Jordan. OJ says just like the people, he expected handouts and waiting for big breaks, but JBL showed him you don't wait. YOU TAKE! OJ says last week he stopped the Undertaker dead in his tracks and proved his loyalty. And proved to the world MY TIME IS NOW! JBL says just like our troops, OJ looked in the eyes of evil and didn't flinch, he says he's so proud of him that he got GM T. Long to book Orlando Jordan vs. The Undertaker, OJ puts on a brave face but is clearly scared.

Spike Dudley (w/The Dudley Boyz) vs. Paul London (w/Billy Kidman)
This is fine, but all over the place, thankfully it's mostly all London on offense, Spike bumps around like he's the face tho. Bubba attacks Kidman on the floor, just because then as London goes for the 450, D-Von distracts the ref so Bubba can pull Spike out of the way. Spike then rolls him up for the win. After the match; The Dudley family put the boots to them. Spike hits London with the Dudley dog and Kidman walks into the 3D. Rey isn't here after last weeks beating. *3/4

Tazz explains the Summer Games Relay rules. Team Booker of Booker, Luther, and Rene vs. Team Cena of Cena, RVD, and Haas. Okay, so it's a 5-minute time limit for the matches. If nobody is pinned, the next matchup comes in, first pin wins. BRUH! WHAT THE FUCK IT HEYMAN SMOKING?

Speaking of Heyman, another Heidenreich promo :mjcry

Backstage: Scotty II Hotty talks shit to Spike. Spike says he was friends with him before, but he wasn't a champion. Now he is, now he's reunited with family, and now he doesn't need friends. He slaps him, but Bubba and D-Von step in front of Spike, and Spike yell that Scotty won't do anything just like everybody else.

Backstage: Kurt busts into Theodore Long's office, he says Eddie stole his belongings and made a bunch of money off it. And now he wants his money. Long says the money went to charity. Kurt says he doesn't care and Eddie owes him money. Long says he's about opportunity, so he says Eddie is here and tells Kurt to go to the ring and gives him a slot to speak his mind in the ring.

Chavo Guerrero vs. Nunzio (w/Johnny Stamboli)
PASS!
Orlando Jordan (w/John Bradshaw Layfield) vs. The Undertaker
Decent Taker showcase, OJ kicks out of everything and even gets time on offense after a low blow. It really doesn't go anywhere so JBL nails Taker with a clothesline from hell for the DQ. After the match; JBL taunts Taker by putting the title in his face and they leave as Taker sits up.

GM Theodore Long is in the ring, he hypes up his first PPV as GM and it being SummerSlam. He brings out Kurt Angle, but then also brings out Eddie Guererro. Kurt says he had a legitimate injury and had to stop wrestling, and asks Eddie if he knows what it's like to have something you love taken from you, and Eddie yells at him "LIKE, WHEN YOU SCREWED ME OVER AND OUT OF MY WWE CHAMPIONSHIP" Eddie says he bleed and gave his life, heart, and soul for the title and he stole it away in the cage. Kurt says that's like the pot calling the kettal black, Kurt brings up Eddie stealing his stuff, and Eddie is like that was for charity. Kurt then brings up Mania XX. And says Eddie knows deep down he can't beat him and has to cheat to beat him. Eddie says he does what he has to do to win. Lie, Cheat and Steal, and maybe he's right, maybe he can't beat him without cheating. BUT WHAT IF I CAN? Eddie says Kurt has been hiding behind his GM role, FAKE knee injury just because Kurt knows deep down he knows he can't beat him and doesn't know who the better wrestler is. T.Long then negotiates a handshake, they are reluctant to do so but end up shaking hands.

Summer Games Relay Fucker Match: Team Cena (John Cena, Rob Van Dam & Charlie Haas w/Miss Jackie) vs. Team Booker (Booker T, Luther Reigns & Rene Dupree w/FiFi)
Booker and RVD kick things off, they do their usual, the time limit expires at 5 minutes so Luther comes in, thankfully they cut to a break and when we return it's a minute left with RVD making a comeback. Time limit again expires so Haas is in next, he goes to work on Luther's leg, it doesn't go anywhere and just filler, they cut to a commercial midway and when we return Rene is already in the match and witminutestues left :lmaolmao:lmao Dupree puts on a prototype of the STFU, but the clock expires, and Cena/Rene is the usual stuff done since the brand split. Time exspires, so we get Booker/Cena for 4 minutes until Cena uses a flashy rollup pin to beat Booker. FUCKING MESS!

WWE SummerSlam
August 15th, 2004
Air Canada Centre: Toronto, Ontario, Canada

The network edited out the "Summertimes Blues" theme :(

The Dudley Boyz (Spike Dudley, Bubba-Ray Dudley & D-Von Dudley) vs. Paul London, Billy Kidman & Rey Mysterio
The faces dominate early, London looks great on offense flips, and strikes but Bubba pulls him by his hair allowing the heels to take over. As good as London looked on offense, his true calling is getting his ass kicked. He bumps off everything, Rey has a decent hot tag, he's had better on TV's, he does hit a sweet 'Rana off the top for two, the match breaks down as Rey fights off all 3 Dudleyz and tags Kidman in. London has a dope dive to the floor using Kidman's back as a springboard. Kidman/Rey bust out the Heartattack into Rey hitting the 619 on Spike, and Kidman hitting the SSP but D-Von pulls him off the cover. He kills London with a clothesline on the floor and avoids a Rey dive, in the ring the Dudleyz hit 3D and Spike covers for the win. **1/2

Lita comes out for the next match.

"Till Death Do Us Part" Match: Matt Hardy vs. Kane
So this is short, and kinda backward, like they had a far better match at the previous PPV and that was NoDQ while this is just a normal match. This gets like 6 minutes, Matt jumps Kane during his entrance and connects with some awesome punches. He goes for the big moves early and goes for pin covers after everything. Kane's strikes don't look like complete shit, but I wish he would throw more uppercuts cause those rule 90% of the time. Matt hits the twist of fate on the floor and tries to get the count out win, but Kane sits up and gets in at 9. Lita grabs the ring bell and distracts the ref allowing Matt to nail Kane in the head with it, but Kane puts his foot on the ropes. FUCK YEAH! KANE DO IT FOR DA BABY! Matt tries one too many high risks moves so Kane chokeslams him off the top/middle rope for the win. KANE DA DADDY! AND NOW HUSBAND! Lita is on the floor devastated when Kane rolls out. He opens his arms for a hug but she runs off as Kane laughs. **3/4

ozJEGJT.gif

Backstage: Todd Grisham interviews Randy Orton, Orton says tonight is a night for celebration, as the most promising, best looking, and most charismatic young star in the WWE ascends to greatness. Cena then interrupts. He says it's the night that The Franchise opens up shop on Booker T's ass. Cena thanks Orton for all the adjectives to introduce him, and asks the fans in Toronto if they like Orton's chances. They boo, and Cena laughs and walks off. Orton says it's pathetic that he needs to steal his spotlight to get airtime because the only thing that matters tonight is Randy Orton becoming the youngest World Champion ever.

Match #1 in the best of Five series for the United States Championship: Booker T vs. John Cena
So this also gets 6 minutes, which I'm really thankful for as they've pretty much been wrestling on TV every week since May. And all their matches seem the same. This one is in the same boat, they just have shorter time so they try to cram as much shit in as possible. Booker doesn't really pick a body part, he just beats on Cena kinda just filling up time. He doesn't once go for a cover, Booker hits a desperation hot shot and celebrates by hitting the Spin-A-Rooni, but as he goes to pick Cena up, Cena counters by hitting the FU for the win. **1/4

Triple Threat Match for the Intercontinental Championship: Batista vs. Chris Jericho vs. Edge
Another short one at 8 and a half minutes, I can't even call this a TV time match as RAW mid cards/Main Eventers are getting at least 1 12+ minute match a week. This is mostly average, and they stick to the formula of 2 in 1 out. Jericho/Batista is cool, but they've had way better interactions on RAW in tag matches. Batista goes for the Batista Bomb early, but Edge clips his knee so we get Edge/Batista now, its fine, Batista goes for the KO Lariat but Jericho stops him. Jericho vs. Edge is really the only real bright spot as they're building off their RAW match last week on RAW and their newfound tension. Jericho locks in the walls, but Batista kicks him off and sends him into the ring post. Edge then hits Batista with the Impaler DDT for two. Edge signals for the Spear but Jericho intercepts and shoves Edge down, Jericho then walks into a Spinebuster but Edge breaks it up. The match then ends with Jericho takes Batista off the apron with the Springboard dropkick, but turns and walks into a Spear by Edge and he covers for the win. I lied when I said Edge/Jericho was the only bright spot, Edge being BOOOOOO'ed in his own hometown was the highlight. Just cause it sets up Heel Edge. Lawler dubs this Bizzaro Land. **1/2

Kurt Angle (w/Luther Reigns) vs. Eddie Guererro
AWESOME Mat work to start, like WOW! They make everything seem like a struggle which makes everything seem so realistic, Kurt hits a German, but as he goes for the 2nd Eddie counters into an ankle lock, but Kurt sticks his thumb right in Eddie's eye to break it. Kurt hits an Angle Slam, then they proceed to battle and counter out of one another Ankle Locks, Kurt ends up winning that exchange, he keeps applying it and even has some modified versions. So, Eddie's ankle is hurt and Kurt begins targeting it. It's awesome and vicious, mid-way though Kurt unties Eddie's boot and ends up fully taking off the boot exposing the injured ankle. Eddie's selling is great, he's limping and doesn't even attempt to run the ropes or anything. So his comeback is lots of punches and suplexes. He hits the 3 amigos, but the ankle hurts him too much that it takes him too much time to get to the top rope, well that allows Kurt to recover, he runs the ropes and hits a suplex throw off the top for two. Kurt goes for another Angle Slam but Eddie counters into a DDT. Eddie tries another Frog Splash, but Kurt now rolls out of the way. 2nd Angle Slam gets two. Kurt locks in the ankle lock on the exposed ankle but Eddie sends Kurt into the ref taking him out, he nails Kurt and Luther with the boot and plays FAKE DEAD! as the ref recovers. Eddie finally hits the Frog Splash but Kurt kicks out. Kurt plays possum and as Eddie gets to his feet, Kurt locks in the figure four ankle lock combo and Eddie taps. Good shit. Awesome callback to mania with the boot coming into play. But this time it helped Kurt. ***1/4

Triple H vs. Eugene
So yeah, this isn't good. Like they start off with some good hate but they don't really maintain it which is mostly the Eugene gimmick's fault. E.G. So at first Eugene brawls and he's god awful at it but at least he taking the fight to Triple H, then as he's in control he turns back into that ahhh shucks happy go lucky shit. Triple H in this was great, not anything he really did but making Eugene look even more Blue. So, fakes a knee injury and DUMBASS! Eugene falls for it so Hunter punches him in the jaw. He methodically beats on Eugene tons of choking and ripping away at Eugene's face. Eugene has a shitty comeback as he steals all other wrestlers shit for two count, which is pretty funny. Flair comes out but is ejected after a trip. Regal comes out and KO's Flair with brass knucks, but Eugene turns into the Pedigree, and Hunter covers for the win. Crowd shitting on Eugene the whole match was fun tho. *3/4

Divas Dodgeball Happens, PASS!

WWE Championship: The Undertaker vs. John Bradshaw Layfield (w/Orlando Jordan)
So yeah, this is wildly known for two things. 1, the crowd not giving a shit about the match and just proceeds to do the WAVE! yeah, the fucking wave. In the early go it's a lot of brawling, punching, and boots, Taker works the arm, which is smart as he's trying to take the clothesline from hell away, obviously commentary doesn't pick up on it. But, Taker's arm work is pretty lazy like he just seems to be filling time, JBL doesn't sell it like at all. OJ gets involved leading to JBL chop blocking the knee, he works over it and it's fun, and in my ALL TIME FAVORITE HEEL ANTIC, BEHIND THE REFS BACK JBL NAILS THE LEG WITH THE CHAIR! Taker's knee selling is fun, but The Wave is already in motion by then. Taker fights back and tries some legwork of his own, as the crowd chant "Spanish Table" They start trading near falls and big moves, Taker wins the striking battle and hits the chokeslam but JBL kicks out, OJ distracts Taker allowing JBL to connect with the Clothesline from hell, but Taker kicks out. The ref gets bumped, and OJ hands JBL the WWE title, he hits Taker with it but the ref is down. OJ grabs Nick Patrick's hand and does the count himself :lmao but Taker kicks out. JBL hits a 2nd Clothesline from Hell, but Taker bumps into the corner. JBL goes for the corner punches, that Taker counters into the Last Ride for another 2. Taker lifts JBL up for the Tombstone, but OJ has the title. He charges at him but Taker gets the boot up. Taker grabs the WWE championship and nails JBL but the ref sees and calls for the bell. **1/4

After the Match; Taker begins taking out his frustrations. He keeps beating on JBL who is now busted open by this point. Taker rips the Longhorns off the Limo and slams JBL on the hood of the car. Taker goes to leave but rethinks it. He comes back down and CHOKESLAMS JBL THROUGH THE ROOF OF THE LIMO! LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL Taker leaves, and OJ pulls JBL out of the limo. JBL is stretchered out.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Randy Orton vs. Chris Benoit
So yeah, all the build, mini-interactions have lead us to this, it's totally worth the wait. They have this awesome, counter wrestling sequence in the first 5 minutes with neither guy wanting the make a mistake, but it's a total struggle to do anything. Orton locks in the Sharpshooter, but Benoit is the master of it "Right now" so he has a counter, and counters into the Crossface attempt. He still tries to apply it as they roll to the floor, where Orton sends Benoit arm first into the ring post. Orton does a great job targetting the arm, he locks in a couple of nice armbar and hammerlocks, they end up fighting on the apron with Benoit hitting a DDT on the apron with the good arm. HE TRIES TO FOLLOW UP WITH A TOPE SUICIDA, BUT ORTON MOVES, AND BENOIT HITS THE BARRICADE! FUCK! THAT SPOT STILL LOOKS AND SOUNDS SICK! Orton now drops all arm work and starts working the neck, in which Orton is at his best. He can do so many more vicious looking neck holds, and be HEADLOCK RANDY! He busts out the gut-wrench, into the backbreaker into the neckbreaker DDT that he hasn't used since Bad Blood :mark: Benoit's selling is good as usual, he does kinda forget to sell as he makes his comeback but it seems like they cut a couple of minutes out and go right into the finish. Benoit locks in the sharpshooter but Orton reaches the ropes. Benoit follows up and hits SIX Rolling Germans, but as he goes for the Diving Headbutt Orton gets BOTH BOOTS UP! HOLY SHIT! Benoit seems to be out, so Orton tries a pin but Benoit grabs the arm, he tries to lock in the crossface, but can't Orton rolls through, they struggle to get to their feet, Benoit again goes for the Crossface but Orton blocks and HITS THE RKO FROM NOWHERE AND COVERS FOR THE WIN! Orton's facial expression, of amazement, excitement, happiness, joy every emotion is on full display. CAUSE DESTINY! ****1/4

mNBcoDK.gif

Benoit leaves the ring, as Orton celebrates but he comes back in. They have a staredown, and Benoit offers a handshake. Orton is hesitant, and Benoit yells at him "TO BE A MAN!" and Orton shakes his hand. Benoit nods at him and walks off, as Orton celebrates to end the show. DESTINY!

Q9v40pJ.gif

Final Thought; I remember watch this match when it aired like, I was 12 at the time. And I remembered thinking throughout the whole build that no way Orton wins, it's Triple H's title, and he's the man, so no, no, nah, Orton is just a statistic on Benoit title list. But HOLY SHIT! When he countered and roll out of the Cripple Crossface and hit the RKO and covered for the win. MY MOUTH DROPPED! Not in a bad way, as I was fully on board with 2004 Orton, my head always thought Benoit would win but my heart wanted Orton cause he was coming off arguably so far one of the greatest years ever and it's only been 8 months. So when he won, i was so ecstatic I ran around the house, yelling "HOLY SHIT" & "DESTINY" I'm pretty sure I was throwing up the Orton pose and think about it, this was 4am in the UK so yeah, my mom got pissed when she came downstairs, but I didn't give a shit. ORTON WAS THE SHIT! Who would know in 24 hours my grin would turn into heartbreak forever, well only for 14 days as it was my Birthday on the 29th and i was off on holiday.

WWE World Heavyweight Champion: Randy Orton
WWE Intercontinental Champion: Edge
WWE World Tag Team Champions: La Resistance
WWE Women's Champion: Trish Stratus

WWE Monday Night RAW
August 16th, 2004
London, Ontario, Canada

NEW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION! RANDY ORTON COMES OUT! He not only has his amazing golden shower pyro but gold balloons and gold confetti :mark: Orton says their cheering them now, but last night you all thought i was in over my head, and no way in hell I could beat Chris Benoit, let alone surviving the Crossface, Sharpshooter and 6 German Suplexes. YET HERE I STAND THE YOUNGEST WORLD CHAMPION IN HISTORY! He asks for all the 24-year-old men to stand up, he has the camera show them, and Orton says take a good look at the average 24-year-old, he then asks them to take off their shirts. Some do mostly FAT fans. Orton makes fun of them. He says he's just plain better than everyone else and says if people think him winning was a fluke. IT WAS DESTINY!

http://filecloud.io/n8g1rms07
(Insert, THE AMAZING VIDEO PACKAGE THAT WWE EDITED OUT ON THE NETWORK! BUT I FOUND IT)

Orton says he did what nobody else could do, and says yeah he's a little weak but he's Randy Orton and is unlike other past champions. He says get use to this sight, because the RANDY ORTON ERA HAS ONLY JUST BEGUN! Chris Benoit comes out, he says Orton's first title defense will be against him, Orton says he's heard and knows about his rematch, and says they can do it in 2-3 weeks. Benoit says Orton doesn't get it, and he's not gonna wait. TONIGHT! THE REMATCH

All or Nothing Match: Rhyno (w/Tajiri) vs. Sylvan Granier (w/Rob Conway)
If Rhyno wins, Rhyno & Tajiri get a title shot at Unforgiven, but if he loses, they'll never get a title shot and must break up. Okay, then. This isn't good, it's pretty basic, Sylvan works the back, Rhyno doesn't sell and has shitty mini-comebacks. He does end up hitting the GORE for the win.

KANE tells us that next week, he and Lita are getting married. LIVE on TV in Anaheim, California YAY!

Tonight: Edge/Kane for the IC title & Benoit/Orton for the World Championship.

Backstage: Coach tries to interview Lita, but she walks off, she walks into the woman's locker room where the other Divas' Trish, Jaz, Molly and Gail throw her a surprise bridal Shower, Molly gifts her Birth Control, Condom :lmao Gail framed their first kiss, and has this awesome mashup picture of what Kane and Lita's baby will look like. Jaz's gift is a vibrator that she calls the BIG RED MACHINE! :lmao Lita is pissed and storms off, Trish mocks her as Victoria shows up, she slaps Trish and walks off.

SHAWN MICHAELS! BACK AT UNFORGIVEN!

Gail/Victoria, happen I didn't care. After the match, Trish and Tomko run out and attack Victoria but that big woman comes out and helps her as the crowd chant for "STEVIE" FUCK ALL OF THIS!

Kane comes out and dedicates this match, to his bride to be Lita.

WWE Intercontinental Championship: Kane vs. Edge
So, this is Eric Bischoff's wedding present to KANE :mark: Edge goes right to work on attacking Kane's legs, he does a somewhat decent job selling until he shoves Edge off the top and Lita comes down before the break, Kane starts working the neck, strikes and vice grips holds. They both just stop selling and start exchanging strikes and near falls. The ref gets taken out after Kane shoves Edge into him, Lita trips up Kane, and Matt Hardy runs out to hit Kane with the Twist of Fate. He leaves, and Edge hits the Spear to win. Just wait 8 or 9 months, these 4 meet again in much better circumstances. **

After the Match; Kane gets up and brings Lita into the ring. He gets on the mic and says nothing can upset him because he's getting married next week. She slaps him, and Kane says that's the way he likes it, and it's gonna be a hell of a honeymoon.:kane2:

Coach is with the Diva Search Diva's he shows a pretape of if the Divas can choose to pick who gets eliminated next who would they vote off, they all vote for Carmella, except for Carmella, who wants Joy off. THAT BITCH! Michelle McCool is voted off.

Chris Jericho vs. Batista (w/Ric Flair)
This is much better than the PPV, it's kept at 5 minutes, they do the traditional power vs speed, Jericho is great at trying to knock Batista down but can't, and just as it seems like he's about to Flair interferes behind to ref back to give his animal control back. Awesome finishing stretch with Jericho avoiding all of Batista's power moves, as Batista tries to block the walls at all cost. Flair gets on the apron but Jericho springboard dropkicks him down, he hits the Bulldog and as he goes for the Lionsault Flair pops him in the jaw for the DQ. **3/4

They continue to beat down Jericho, Batista hits a spinebuster, but Edge comes down, he circles the ring like he wants to enter but instead backs up the ramp and watches on. Batista hits the Batista bomb, as JR and King bring up, Jericho doing the same last week.

Coach brings out the remaining Diva Search Divas in bikini's VOTE!

HERE WE GO! THE MOST IMPORTANT 30 MINUTES OF RAW THIS YEAR!

Backstage: Orton is nervous for his match when Triple H comes in, he tells Orton he knows what he's feeling last night was the biggest night of his life and now he has Benoit breathing down his neck, and now he's doubting himself. He says it natural. He asks Randy does he understand what he did last night? and what that title means? he says last night he became the youngest world champion in history. He says Flair didn't win his first world title until he was 31, and Dave would give an arm just for a title shot. He says Orton did what no one has done, he beat Benoit. He tells him to go out and be Randy Orton, he relies on that talent, ability, and what got him to the dance. And what got him to the dance is Evolution. He says to go out there and be Randy Orton, and Evolution will take care of the rest. There is no problem because Evolution is your solution. And after, there'll be the celebration of a lifetime, like only Evolution can. CHAMP!

WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Chris Benoit vs. Randy Orton
FUCK YEAH! Benoit gets sick of Orton holding the title and taunting so he jumps Orton from behind and proceeds to destroy him, chops, strikes, headbutts, knees, and suplexes, it's all Benoit for the like 10 minutes straight. Orton does his best just to survive, but not run. Wheather the storm and find an opening. Benoit hits a superplex off the top and covers for two. He continues to just violate Orton, AND BUSTS OUT A FUCKING DROPKICK OFF THE APRON! Something he hasn't done in years, just to show he's a man with nothing to lose and will do whatever it takes to get his World Title back. He drops Orton shin first onto the steel steps as we go to break when we return Benoit has him already in the Sharpshooter. BRUH! WE GOTTA RELEASE THIS CUTS IN FULL! Orton manages to get to the ropes to break the hold. Orton finally finds his opening as he counters a suplex to the floor and dropkicks Benoit off the apron into the security barriers. He follows up by sending Benoit chest/arm first into the ringpost. fucking Orton hits a knee drop and sells it like he did more good than bad to is damaged leg :mark: I love as the match goes along, Orton gets more aggressive and is starting to feel it, he's back to RANDY ORTON! The nerves are gone, the doubt is gone. HEADLOCK RANDY! as he busts out some of the holds he did last night when he worked the neck, as he back to working the neck again. He hits the gut-wrench, into the neckbreaker move for two and back to HEADLOCK RANDY! He goes for the crossbody, but Benoit ducks and Orton crashes and burns to the mat. Benoit then hits a front suplex and hits the Diving Headbutt, HOLY SHIT! He did it with Orton on his back so he can't get the double boots up. FUCKIGN GOAT! Benoit hits the Triple German's and teases the 4th, but locks in the Crippler Crossface. Orton keeps trying to roll through, he makes the mistake of rolling into the middle of the ring, Evolution run down but Benoit knocks them all down, he then turns and Orton hits a sweet RKO and covers for the win. CLASSIC RAW MATCH! ****1/2

glt3RDF.gif

After the match; Batista slams Benoit's head into the steel steps to knock him out, Evolution begins to celebrate. They all hug and talk. Batista then hoists Orton up on his shoulders with Hunter giving him the thumbs up......................................BUT HE STOPS SMILING AND GIVES ORTON THE THUMBS DOWN........................AND BATISTA DROPS ORTON TO THE MAT! Triple H then jumps on Orton and starts beating the shit out of him, they all take turns beating him down. NO! Hunter yells at him that he's not The Man, and Batista yells that he's nothing without them. Hunter nails Orton with the belt, and he's busted open. He punches away at the cut until Orton's face is covered. Batista hits the BATISTA BOMB! And Hunter follows up with a Pedigree. Orton is out cold and Hunter grabs the belt, he yells "THIS IS ME AND WILL NEVER BE YOU" And RAW goes off the air.

So, I've only ever seen this 2 other times in my life, 1st, when it aired live and 2nd, a couple years later when I started getting into downloading matches, so around 05/06. I've seen the beatdown like at least 100 times tho. So, back to when I was 12 and watching this live, I remember thinking oh this is AWESOME! Hunter is gonna take a back seat and allowing his protege to be world champ, what a guy. BUT THEN THE THUMBS DOWN HAPPEN! And I swear to god, it was like I was the one getting dropped. I couldn't believe this was happening, my beloved group of Evolution was ending right before my eyes, I might as well been shot in the back. HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN! 14 years later it's still a classic moment, a top 10 RAW moment in wrestling history and still makes me feel a way.

WWE Smackdown

John Bradshaw Layfield and Orlando Jordan emerge out of a brand new limo, and this.....

bUa1lGk.jpg

OJ helps JBL into the ring, JBL says if you people don't mind, he's in tremendous pain which includes a splitting headache. He says to keep it down, and with what happened at SummerSlam and then having to deal with an inferior Canadian hospital, he's lucky to even be here. OJ says you people should show some respect, JBL says he had a DREAM that at his WWF Hall Of Fame induction a clip would be shown of him pinning at SummerSlam, but the Undertaker robbed him of that by getting DQ'ed on purpose, and save himself the embarrassment of passing the torch, and what followed was criminal and heinous. JBL proceeds to show pictures of Taker destroying him. He says that unlike the Canadian army, he's been to Iraq, and he thought he had seen the face of evil, but now he knows what evil is. JBL says to stop booing, since they're the ones who protect this country. He says Taker will get no rematch, and he guarantees Taker will never again be WWE Champion. The Undertaker comes out, and by the time it takes Taker to the ring JBL and OJ have bailed out of the ring. They escape through the crowd as Taker gets in, but JBL left the title behind, and Taker holds it up.

WWE Cruiserweight Championship: Scotty II Hotty vs. Spike Dudley (w/The Dudley Boyz)
This is 96% Scotty, he does all shitty offense but D-Von distracts the ref allowing Bubba to trip Scotty up while he does the worm setup. Bubba beats him up on the floor and rolls him back in. Spike doesn't really do shit, and Scotty goes right into a comeback lol. Spike avoids the corner charge and hits the Dudley Dog for the win. *1/2

After the match; Spike makes Bubba hit Scotty with a SPLASH! and kicks him in the dick.

CARLITO CARIBBEAN COOL!

RAW REBOUND! Evolution :mjcry

Heidenreich NEXT WEEK :mjcry

Billy Kidman & Paul London vs. Chavo Guererro & Jamie Noble
So this is fun, Chavo and Jamie isolate London early, they don't really pick a body part just do whatever on offense, fucking London the good kid he is, sells whatever they work on, so like they do something to the head, sell the head, to the arm, sell the arm, kick in the chest sell the chest. His comeback is awesome, and Kidman's hot tag is actually good, due to the bumping of Noble and Chavo, the match breaks down with London hitting a sweet spinning heel kick but as he goes up top, Chavo shoves him to the floor. It's 2-1, Kidman hits the BK bomb but Chavo rolls him up and grabs the ropes for the win. **1/2

Backstage: Theodore Long finds Brian Hebner, he tells Hebner to go find the Dudleyz and Cena, cause he's booked a Dudley vs. Cena tonight.

Eddie Guererro comes down to the ring, he says he and Kurt still have unfinished business, of who is the better wrestler. He says they need a tie-breaker, right here tonight. Kurt comes out and asks if the crowd wants it, cause he came for some action. He then refuses and says not only did he win at SummerSlam, but he made him TAP! and he doesn't need to prove it again. Eddie again says it's 1-1, and whether Kurt likes it they will get it on again. He calls Kurt not man enough, Kurt loses it for a second but calms down and says he won't fall for it. Eddie then says seriously speaking, Sunday night, Kurt did outwrestle him and was the better wrestler. Eddie says he's never had someone outwrestle him like Kurt did and earned his respect. He says he still doesn't like him but they share the same level of respect for their wrestling. He says he knows Kurt denied his challenge but hopes he is man enough to shake his hand. Kurt doesn't fall for it, Eddie says it's all foreal homes. Kurt thinks it over and comes into the ring, they shake hands but Eddie nails him with a right hand, he cleans house and grabs the mic again and says "Kurt should have known him better than that, BECAUSE HE JUST LIED~!" Luther runs out, they surround the ring and try to close in but Rey comes out to even the odds. Kurt and Luther leave.

Booker T joins commentary. Booker shitting all over Cole > this show.

John Cena vs. D-Von Dudley (w/Bubba-Ray Dudley)
This goes like 3 minutes, it's a pretty basic Cena showcase. He ends up winning with the FU!

Smackdown Throwback! Smackdown Debut August 26th, 1999

Rob Van Dam vs. Rene Dupree
NOPE!

KENZO SUZUKI IS BACK! He attacks RVD for being shit.

GM T.Long hands the people in the truck a video to play when he gives the que.

FUCK YEAH! KANE AND LITA Wedding invitation

$1,000,000 TOUGH ENOUGH COMING SOON! Wait, how come the men get a Milly, but the woman only gets 250g's :side:

Theodore Long is in the ring, he says his goal is to make Smackdown even bigger so he's resigned the Big Show. UGH! LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL THEY THEN EDIT IN THE SD POP when he asks if the fans can't wait to see the Big Show back. He then books Rey/Eddie vs. Luther/Kurt NOW!

Eddie Guererro & Rey Mysterio vs. Kurt Angle & Luther Reigns
This gets 15 but i can't get into, maybe because it feels house showy and the Eddie/Kurt, and Rey/Kurt interactions just feel below average. Luther is still god awful. This whole show has been one big pile of shitsoup. It killed any buzz I semi-cared for this match. The match ends with Rey hitting the 619 and Eddie nails the Frog Splash onto Luther for the win.

After the match; Kurt comes down, and throws paint on Eddie's car.

Tonight: Edge vs. Jericho, IC Championship & The Wedding from HELL!

Coachman is in the ring and brings out the Diva Search contestants in bikinis. Tracie is eliminated, Coach says their assignment is to tell Coach how great he is, in 5 minutes or more. BUT FUCK ALL THAT! THE ROCK IS BACK AGAIN! HOLY SHIT! WHY DO I NOT REMEMBER THIS? The woman all lose their shit, while Coach is pissed. Rock runs off Coach and starts to do his usual charm on the ladies. He says he knows what they are thinking "DAMN, Look at the Rock" & "And, Damn I'm getting so WET! from the perpetration of the lights" He then says Lilian use to work at the sperm bank, but got fired for drinking on her day off :lmaolmao:lmao Rock talks about how nobody likes Carmella, and how they share the same thing a few years ago nobody wanted him around, boys in the back and the fans now look at him. He then asks her if she thinks the same....................IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU THINK! Rock talks about the ice cream segment and says it wasn't entertaining, nobody wants to see that cause the people want to see them eat pie. Tajiri comes out with a tray of pies for a pie eating contest. Rock asks Tajiri what his favorite type of pie is, and he says POONTANG PIE! The girls eat the pies, Joy doesn't eat the pie, she instead talks wreckless to Carmella :( Amy licks the pie and it's HOT! Carmella rubs it on her boobs and feeds it to Tajiri, Maria puts some on her nose and licks it off, Christy puts the mat on the mat and rubs her ass on it. BRUH! Tajiri's facial expressions are amazing. BUT FUCK ALL THAT! Coach is back and has La Resistance with him, CALL BACK TO DECEMBER WHEN THE ROCK embarrassed La Resistance. Coach says he's gonna beat their asses, Rock then clears the ring of the ladies and the pie. He challenges them to BRING IT! They all brawl, the heels get the upper hand until Rhyno makes the save. They all hit their finishers and celebrate. Rock is bodying these random 25-minute promos during 2004.

Backstage: Kane arrives with his tux bag, and whistles.

Recap of Evolution turning on Randy Orton.

Backstage: Triple H is taping up his fists, Flair and Batista say they spoke to ORTON WAT? Hunter asks if he's good with it, Flair asks are you sure he'll go along with this. And Hunter says Orton is no longer in charge of his destiny, they are.

Backstage: Lita is in her dressing room, Kane comes in, he says he knows it's bad luck to see the bride before the wedding, but nothing will stop them from getting married. He says he wants this as an all-white wedding to signify the purity of his child, which is why he's going back on his word and wants her to wear this. He then pulls out a white wedding dress and laughs. He says he knows she doesn't want to do this, but she should cheer up, because it's a nice day for a white wedding.

WWE Intercontinental Championship: Chris Jericho vs. Edge
Much better than the August 9th match, as this is only 10 minutes instead of 19. So a lot of the filler and bullshit is cut out, they're still playing off this new dislike for one another, Jericho still does face stuff like break clean, but Edge who's on the verge of turning soon doesn't. I like how these two have no problems just punching one another in the face seemingly as hard as possible. Edge targets the head and neck, but seems to all be cut out due to the commercial. Jericho has a nice comeback, and they have some really nice sequences into near falls. Jericho avoids a spear and tries to lock in the Walls but EDGE counters into an inside cradle, but as the ref counts to three, Jericho's foot is on the ropes. So, during the break, the match is restarted. BRUH! The go another 3 minutes with again Edge's offense being cut out due to the break, and we return with Jericho's comeback. They go right back to near falls, Edge caught Jericho trying a Crossbody, and dropped him groin-first on the top rope due to momentum. And the ref calls that a DQ. Edge then hits the spear because he didn't hear the bell. Match was really hurt by the breaks and the fuckery finishes. ***

New LOOK Evolution come down to the ring, Hunter says there's been a lot of talk about destiny lately, but he doesn't believe it, he says you choose to the things you want, and those things have consequences. Orton made a choice not to be a disappointment like his Grandad and his dad, Orton chose to roll with Evolution. The consequence was Orton's success, and then he made another choice. Orton could have just softened Benoit up for him, but Orton CHOSE to win the World Championship, HIS World CHAMPIONSHIP! And the beating last week was the consequence of that, but it was a warning, and tonight, he has another choice to make. He can come down to the ring, hand him the belt, and lay down so he can take back HIS title, and if he does that, he'll let him live, and Evolution will walk away from him. But if he makes the wrong choice he will make sure Orton will cease to exist period. He calls Orton out, and Orton comes out looking sad and conflicted. Hunter orders Batista and Flair to wair on the floor and calls for a ref to come out, Orton looks at the belt, as Hunter yells at him to hand it over. Orton holds it out, and Hunter grabs it, but Orton won't let go. ORTON SPITS IN HIS FACE, FUCK YEAH! FUCK NO! ORTON NAILS HUNTER WITH THE TITLE AND RUNS OFF THROUGH THE CROWD! Orton holds the belt up as Hunter is livid in the ring.

Backstage: Victoria is pleading with Eric to stop the wedding, but HUNTER COMES IN AND PIE FACES HER THE FUCK OUT OF THE WAY :lmaolmao Eric then makes Triple H vs. Randy Orton @ Unforgiven.

William Regal (w/Eugene) vs. Ric Flair (w/Batista)
FLAIR GOT A NEW ROBE! This shit looks fire, holy shit. So, this is good, like really good. no seriously really fucking good. They have some good mat wrestling, but they just pounding away on one another with strikes. Regals' uppercuts are a thing of beauty, he tries to target the head but it's short-lived. Flair's chops sound great, but Flair takes a fucking backdrop onto the floor. Neither really as control period, it's just all great looking and sounding strikes. So basically, it's a fight. Batista gets involved behind the refs back allowing Flair to lock in the Figure-Four, the ref yells at Batista so Eugene rolls the Figure-Four over. Batista throws Eugene into the ring post, but Benoit comes down and brawls with Benoit on the floor. But, in the ring, Flair pulls out some brass knuckles but so does Regal :mark: They bump into one another and Regal manages to get the punch first so he covers for the win. GOOD SHIT! ***

SMACKDOWN REBOUND!

My words won't/don't do it justice, the greatest Wedding in WRESTLING HISTORY! Just watch.

WWE Smackdown
August 26th, 2004
Fresno, California

Tonight: Match #2 in the best of 5 series.

Eddie Guererro comes out, minus the weekly car. Eddie says he's gonna make this real simple, last week Kurt Angle ruined his low rider, and defaced his personal property, so he's gonna deface his face. He says he doesn't want to wrestle, he wants to fight and calls Kurt's ass out. Luther comes out instead, he says Eddie wants a fight and says he's seen a lot of fights in his life, prison, bar, street fights and says if Kurt wanted to he would beat him. Kurt shows up on the tron, and challenges Eddie to come meet him in the parking lot right now. Eddie runs out to meet him. Kurt then takes off running to in front of a car. Eddie chases him around, and Kurt yells not to touch his car. Eddie pours garbage on it and starts breaking the windows with a pipe in revenge. Luther Reigns runs over and throws Eddie onto the hood. He and Angle leave in another car, as Eddie gets up. GM Theodore Long comes over and says Kurt was lying, and this is HIS car! Eddie doesn't believe him, and Long has security take Eddie out of the arena for the night because of REASONS!

In a pre-tape, Kenzo cuts a promo saying he attacked RVD because RVD drives a Japanese car when he should be driving a car made in the best country in the world, the United States of America. I LOVE AMERICA!

Rob Van Dam vs. Kenzo Suzuki (w/Hiroko)
FUCK YEAH! Pissed facial expressions RVD is back, he pearl harbors him when Kenzo is being carried to the ring. That was the peak, as it's all downhill after, terrible strikes, no sells and just god awful stuff. RVD connects with an inside cradle and pins him. After the Match; Rene and Kenzo team up to beat down RVD, they then leave together. NEW FRIENDSHIP!

In the parking lot, T.Long is still crying about his car, he keeps saying that's all he's got. I guess the GM role ain't shit. JBL and OJ pull up in a limo, JBL yells at him for not returning his calls, and for making him come to Fresno. He demands to know what he's gonna do to that menace The Undertaker. Long says he wants a title match tonight, but JBL is still in the neck and back brace and says he can't. Long says his Chief of Staff, Orlando Jordan will defend the title for him then, against DA UNDERTAKER!

Chavo Guererro (w/Jamie Noble) vs. Billy Kidman (w/Paul London)
This is short and garbage, nothing happens. Kidman wins with an awful looking SSP his knee goes right into Chavo's head. Chavo is knocked out cold. AWFUL!

I SPIT IN THE FACE OF PEOPLE WHO DON'T WANNA TO BE COOL~!

In the parking lot, T.Long is still getting his car cleaned when Kurth and Luther return, Kurt makes fun of the car and Long says it's his car. Kurt is shocked, so Theodore books Kurt/Eddie next week, in a 2 out of 3 falls match. But tonight he has to wrestle against Rey Mysterio. He then forces Luther to help clean his car.

Match #2 in the best of Five series for the United States Championship: Booker T vs. John Cena [1]
This is cool, they don't really change much I've noticed, Booker works the head but Cena doesn't sell it, he has decent comebacks but the Booker iso went on far too long, Booker gets a horrible looking backslide with his feet on the ropes to win. **1/4

Cole announces that Match #3 in the best of series happens on a house show in Sydney, Australia, but have no fear they will show images and have retults next week. SMH!

Paul Heyman is in the ring with Josh Mathews, he talks about how the last time he was on SD, he was on his knees and emasculated, but now he's back with confidence and introduces his new big dog. Heidenreich. Heyman says it seems like so long ago that he was living in fear when he was being chased by the Undertaker, but now with Heidenreich by his side, he has big plans for the future. Josh then asks if Heidenreich can live up to the hype? Heidenreich beats him up, and Heyman says that's not hype. LOL!

BIG SHOW VIDEO PACKAGE! Cause we don't remember this 7foot 500lb giant who when he last saw him tried to murder the GM of the show.

Kurt Angle vs. Rey Mysterio
So this starts off great with mat wrestling, Rey starts off well, but Rey would come back and even get the better which frustrates Kurt and seemingly pisses him off. So Kurt would come back with even more intensity, and Rey would have a counter for that. They do it 3 or 4 times until Rey ditches all the mat stuff and turns it into his match of spots and speed as we go to break when we return, Kurt is working the head, neck, back, mid-section all of it. So, obviously none of it gets sold cause Rey has trouble selling 1, you think he can sell 4 different body parts. LOOOOOOL! Rey has his usual comeback, and they turn it into a counter of finishers exchange. Rey does manage to hit the 619 but Kurt catches him in mid-air and powerbombs Rey for two. Down comes the straps, Angle Slam is countered into a DDT for two. Kurt then counters a 'Rana into this flashy victory roll for the win. **3/4

SMACKDOWN THROWBACK! November 11th, 1999 - Arnold Schwarzenegger punching Triple H.

RAW REBOUND!

WWE Championship: Orlando Jordan (w/John Bradshaw Layfield) vs. The Undertaker
This still isn't good, but thankfully it's only 6 minutes. Taker does get all his signature shit in, OJ can barely get offense in and when he goes it gets shut down pretty quickly. Taker hits the Tombstone, and JBL pulls the ref out for a DQ to save his championship. After the match; Taker rips off JBL's halo, neck brace and back brace, and Chokeslams him in the ring. *1/2
