I don't see it. I've only seen one match I'd legit say was a good/great match and that was against CM Punk. And honestly I'd say that 80% Punk.

Even in 2002/2003 I wouldn't say he could be a MOTN guy but his work ethic was much higher. Now a days his routine is get beat up for most of the match then pull a Hogan with a hulk up and do the EXACT formula every time. Punch, punch, kick, clothesline, duck, ropes, shoulder block, shoulder block, Prototype side slam, 5 knuckle shuffle, FU if reversed STFU. Rinse and repeat if there's no finish.

Cena literally works the same match week in and week out.

I see where you're coming from, but over the past couple of years, I've enjoyed a lot more Cena matches now than back then.

Also, his match against HBK in England was fantastic. Their match at 'Mania 23 was very good. His match against Umaga at Royal Rumble 2008 was so great as well. So I think he's got some 3 1/2, 4 star matches under his belt.

TBH I didn't care for either of his matches with HBK. Probably though because I was so bored with Cena at that point.

The match with Umaga was okay but nothing I'd ride home about. Although it's infinitely better than the IWC favorite with Lashley.

Aside from the match with Punk I think my favorite match from Cena is his 2003 match against Brock Lesnar.

That was when I thought I wanted Cena to be the WWE Champion.

Here's the official statement by WWE.
Jerry “The King” Lawler suffered a heart attack while commentating during last night’s broadcast of Monday Night Raw in Montreal. *We are hopeful Jerry makes a full recovery and returns to WWE in the near future. Our thoughts are with Jerry and his family.

As soon as Jerry Lawler is physically able, he will undergo a procedure to have a stent place in his heart according to PWInsider.

Jesus this is serious. It's safe to say his in ring career is over. He might not even return to announcing. That would crush him.

Retiring would be the best thing for him and his health at this point.

Did not enjoy catching up on Raw this morning. Best of wishes to Jerry and I hope for a speedy recovery.

That being said, I wouldn't be upset if this was the end of his announcing career. Obviously not under these circumstances though.

Oh, and Michael Cole is a god damn hero for gutting it out last night. Huge amount of respect for him.

Jerry Lawler's son, Kevin Lawler, was informed that Lawler will be able to return to normal physical activity, including wrestling again, once he recovers from the heart attack suffered on Monday. WREG-TV in Memphis reported Thursday afternoon:

"A CAT scan showed no signs of brain damage and doctors expect him to make a full recovery. Kevin talked to his dad for the first time today and says he sounded just like himself. He says doctors say his father is healthy for his age and they see no reason why he won’t be able to wrestle again."

You've got to be kidding me. Even if he didn't have a heart attack, isn't it time to call it quits after 40 years.

I have to agree with you. It's time for Jerry to hang the tights up.
