After Raw General Manager AJ Lee came completely unglued on last week’s Raw, one might begin to wonder if Mr. McMahon made the right decision in naming her the brand's General Manager on the 1,000th episode of Raw. Speaking of Mr. McMahon ... will Monday's WWE Hall of Fame guest have anything to say about a certain incident involving the boss the last time the two of them were in Montreal? Here are five things to look for this Monday on Raw at 8/7 CT on USA Network.
[h=2]Bret Hart returns to Montreal[/h]
As revealed during an exclusive interview with Raw General Manager AJ Lee, WWE Hall of Famer Bret "Hit Man" Hart will return to Montreal for the first time in 15 years. (WATCH) Inside Montreal’s Bell Centre, what will The Excellence of Execution have to say after revisiting the city that played host to one of the most infamous incidents in WWE history, involving himself, WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels and Mr. McMahon?
[h=2]A powerful new alliance?[/h]
With Paul Heyman at his side, Brock Lesnar rocketed to the top of WWE, ostensibly ending Triple H’s career. Last week – after WWE Champion CM Punk brutalized John Cena – The Straight Edge Superstar hopped in a car driven by Heyman. Just how tight is the relationship between these two? (MORE) Is Punk looking to leverage Heyman to help extend his already-impressive title reign (now nearing 300 days)? Although Lesnar left WWE, Punk has shown no signs of leaving the WWE Universe hanging, and certainly has no intention of letting anyone take his title any time soon.
[h=2]Is AJ Lee a pant-suited powder keg?[/h]
After AJ Lee’s meltdown last week on Raw, questions swirling around the WWE Universe ask if she is truly fit to lead the Monday night brand. (VOTE NOW: IS AJ FIT TO SERVE?) She may be forbidden from putting her hands on a Superstar or Diva by the WWE Board of Directors, but that doesn’t mean she’s just going to sit on her hands. Will she be out for retribution against Vickie Guerrero's slaps and taunts? Or will someone else on the Raw roster be next to feel her wrath?
[h=2]Brogue Kick backlash?[/h]
GM AJ Lee may appear to be losing control on Raw, but SmackDown General Manager Booker T was all about taking charge last Friday on SmackDown, when he banned Sheamus' Brogue Kick. The World Heavyweight Champion adapted and used his new Cloverleaf submission hold to defeat David Otunga, but losing the ability to use his signature maneuver could be a big concern for The Great White's title match against Alberto Del Rio at Night of Champions. Will the champion still be able to put his best foot forward next Sunday, or say anything more about Booker T's controversial ruling on Raw Monday night? (MORE ON THE CLOVERLEAF)
[h=2]Rekindling Cena’s fire within?[/h]
Brock Lesnar may have ended Triple H’s career at SummerSlam (PHOTOS), but don’t forget what John Cena did to Lesnar in their brutal encounter at Extreme Rules last April. (PHOTOS) CM Punk should take notice, especially if he’s thinking of launching another sneak attack on Cena like he did last week. Certainly, that’s no way to earn respect from the man whose very mantra is “Hustle, Loyalty, Respect.†With the biggest prize in WWE on the line at Night of Champions, has Punk made a huge mistake by attacking Cena, and possibly lighting a fire within one of WWE’s most dangerous opponents? And is there any chance the WWE Champion might start paying that price Monday night?
