The thing with ROH is it’s technically a separate company. Unlike NXT, which is just a brand operating under WWE. Ring of honor has a completely separate ownership structure, and on top of that as far as I’m aware and someone can tell me differently if I’m wrong ring of honor, never advances an AEW storyline. I never have to watch ring of honor to understand what’s happening on an AEW pay-per-view or when I’m watching collision or dynamite do I have to have seen the ring of honor tv to understand what’s going on.

The champions are featured heavily but ROH storylines also only advance on AEW as well. Basically you don't even miss ROH if you don't watch the weekly, you just need to watch the PPVs and Collision. Which is a whole separate issue for me that we can move to an ROH or AEW thread lol

I do think NXT is still the best comparison for ROH tho, but it's not perfect so can be nitpicked apart if you want. But simply put, you don't have to watch NXT for any WWE storylines either and it's only been rare cases where you did. The viewership has also always show that, half WWE fans don't watch NXT at all

As meaningless as ROH is, I hope no NXT fans take offense to that comparison tho :slip:

Even AEW isn't stable. Dynamite moved a couple years ago (yes TNT to TBS is a move, different channel with different amount of homes it's in, even if it's the same parent company), air on 2 networks (or a Streaming service) and a separate streaming site for ROH. Then they do a Pay Per View model where to watch their premier events you need to spend $60 per show either through your Pay-TV or a streaming option. At the end of the day it isn't cheap to be a hardcore rasslin fan regardless of the company. Watching 100% of AEW will end up costing as much or more than watching 100% of WWE for most US viewers.
Funny to bring AEW (and NWA and TNA) up in a whataboutism-kinda way, when no one was really talking about other companies in here for some time... or at all even. Especially when it is about rationalizing all the financial and inconvenient hoops this company makes their fans (probably also partially as a loyalty test) unnecessarily jump through on a regular basis, even though they are already making a shit ton of money.

So are you gonna apologize for telling me I was wrong when I posted those channels? Surely since I didn't snap on you, like you did others. I feel like you owe me one.
You know what I've had it with your bullshit. You want an apology?

I'm sorry you're so fucking butthurt over anything I do.

Apologize to me since I was actually more correct than you (MOST providers will be covered, you said only 5 will be). So until you apologize to me you are nothing but a hypocritical piece of shit. I'm fucking done with your bullshit.

I’d argue NXT is much more important to WWE, but on the pay scale their PLEs are on the same ESPN and their channel is on free network television. NXT is basically the only WWE thing that I don’t think burdens the customers more if you wanna watch it. If you can get SmackDown you should be able to get NXT.

Like even if you wanted to argue that NXT was completely isolationist that brand I think they do a much better job of still promoting its own brand than you were commenting about ROH where you could still just watch AEW to see the ROH stuff advance lol

Which honestly depresses me because it’s like it’s not like Tony isn’t capable of taking his enormous talent pool dedicating like 30 really good guys that he’s not currently booking on dynamite make them dedicated ring of honor wrestlers have actual storylines being told on the weekly television that isn’t carried over to AEW TV because it’s not needed just have your ring of honor television build angles do actual in-ring promos and segments build up to a least a bimonthly pay-per-view because only three a year shit is dumb. Do one every two months and make watching ROH matter. It’s not hard.

The story you fucking posted listed

Charter, DirecTV, Hulu + Live TV, Fubo, Verizon Fios

The same as mine, yes it says SOME smaller ones. But that falls on the source for not listing some small local ones. Thats still not most. Because Cox Cable, Dish, YouTube TV, and Comcast aren't mentioned and those are just ones I know of. They are probably others missing as well. :lol so i mean that's not most at all my guy.

I'm sorry you can't read.

I’m told discussions with all of these pay TV providers are ongoing, and Disney hopes to have most of them done by the end of the year. It’s still unclear to me at this point if Disney can accelerate some of these discussions if their pay TV carriage renewals aren’t until 2026.

I'm done with this thread.

I've said my piece. I've given FACTS and EVIDENCE to what I had to say. Like it or not that's fine.

Sadly this thread has been commandeered by the "Fuck WWE and anyone who watches it" brigade that is currently ruining this forum for people who want to just chat about wrestling.

If it wasn't for Smark I wouldn't be here. It's not fun anymore.
