So... let me see if I can break this down properly.

- To watch RAW, you need Netflix.

- To watch SmackDown you need cable for USA Network.

- To watch WWE NXT, you gotta go to The CW.

- To watch WWE Evolve (god forbid), you gotta go to Tubi.

- To watch the tertiary shows and the archives, you gotta get Peacock.

- To now watch PLEs, you either need a specific kind of cable, or pay $30/month for the privilege of getting 5 matches, shitty booking, and shitty people on your TV screens.

Yeah, I was pointing that out the other day.

It’s hilarious. Although to be fair Tubi is free.

Theoretically, you should be able to get NXT and smackdown with the same package because CW is network anyway but yeah.

Outside of the obvious problems I have with WWE (the people in charge, the people they allow on their TV, the nut-hugging of far-right politics)...

Why the fuck would the average layman want to watch this shit when they change airing location every five or so years?

I don’t think changing your location every five years is a problem because they should absolutely follow with the best money but for me I think it’s separating how many things you have to go to to get all of their content. When it was just cable and Peacock that was fine, but Netflix, Peacock, and ESPN and cable to watch everything is just Ridonculous.

Fuck the money, just give us fans something coherent, god damn.
As a business, I can’t cosign that completely because if Fox wants to pay them more money to air SmackDown, then USA then by all means, but as long as it was all on cable and one streaming service, that was fine, but yeah, splitting it up this much is asking too much of your fans.

The problem is they are trying to price regular people out.

On top of this, ticket prices are pretty ridiculous now as well. Eventually people like Troop or Shane won't be able to probably even afford to go to shows.

If it was every year though, that would be different but every five years or so is fine.

I will say, though I’m happy that AEW has been consistently with TNT and TBS and hopefully it says that way.

That too. $30 for a streaming service if you don’t have cable, criminal.

I don't even think they want that or trying to, because they do know they need those kinda fans.

This is a conscious decision btw, they always say the "don't want all eggs in one basket" line and are very specific they don't want an international Netflix deal for the US bc the US has so many more options that want them.

The goal last year was cable, network, and streaming which that's succeeded in with USA, CW, and Netflix. I can't say the logic doesn't make sense to me, I think it's pretty smart actually. But doesn't mean I like it lol
