Yeah, seeing Samoa Joe in nXt on WWE TV was a surreal moment for sure, and it's surprising that he kept his name.

Women's match was definitely match of the night by far. Becky has improved so much, and Sasha is just too good. That's what women's wrestling should be, and I wish the ladies on the main roster got that kind of support.

Zayn and Owens served it's purpose well solidifying Owens as a cold hearted bastard heel, and Sami as the underdog that never gives up no matter what. Owens post match promo with Renee Young was pretty great as well.

Actually, that's not entirely true. WWE has a history of changing superstars' names. Seth Rollins wrestled a few SmackDown dark matches as Tyler Black, John Cena wrestled as the Prototype for most of his developmental run, Mr. Kennedy wrestled for a month on VELOCITY and Heat as Mr. Anderson and I'm sure there's plenty more. Not to mention the subtle changes to Neville, Rusev and Cesaro when changing from NXT to WWE. It's entirely possible he'll Wrestle as Samoa Joe in NXT and be repackaged when called up to Raw.

To be fair to Rollins, Kennedy and even Cena, Samoa Joe has more name value than they did before their names were changed.

I think it'll boil down to merchandise royalties. Joe should be able to make a higher percentage than some other guys who's names are owned by WWE. If they don't like that, they'll change his name. Don't really see that happening though.

The NXT Championship picture is loaded with potential match ups. Owens is doing good as a heel.

I think that Sami Zayn may need something to get an edge over Owens. Something that will make him more aggressive, not like himself. Perhaps he can don a mask, change his name up a bit and change his style a bit to combat Owens one more time? Kind of like a more heel like alter ego.
