Seems bizarre that they'd do this now, with ratings (and interest in wrestling) at such a low point.

Pretty sure this will be a massive flop, especially how they've said they are venturing into non-wrestling programming too. Everytime the McMahons have tried branching out into other fields its been a disaster, ie; WWE Films, XFL, World Bodybuilding Federation, etc.

I'm worried for the WWE's future tbh, they could take a MASSIVE hit here financially.

Wwe films is a disaster? It isn't the big hit, but the only film to ever set them ack and not return a profit was the Condemned. It makes money and in business that is what matters. Heck all their books and CDs have made money.

I severely doubt they make much money at all on those films.

The Marine tanked at the box office, not sure on exact figures but def. a couple million down at least.

Edit - It was 12 Rounds that was $2m down. Also, their last 5 films have made less than a million.......IN TOTAL.

It made a profit though through rentals. Only the Condemned tanked hard and just now made a profit. The others are all pretty much guaranteed money because they have a three layered deal with Walmart, redbox, and Netflix. The division just makes more than it put out, not a lot more, but more.

I find that funny coz I thought The Condemned was a great film.

I'm pretty excited about it, yet skeptical the network will ever come to the UK. If it did come as a sky channel that would be amazing!

Aren't there enough wrestling fans like me that will watch this channel almost constantly?

The Comcast deal is massive for them, that alone will make them a couple of million dollars each month. I think that this has a better chance of succeeding than past projects simply because Vince is doing a wrestling project rather than doing a non-wrestling venture. This is also a great way to get back some old school wrestling fans because WWE have an extensive video library and they can show things like RAW from the Attitude era, Nitro, World Class Championship Wrestling (which had so many great matches and great production quality for it's time), old ECW shows and PPVs etc.

Same here. I'm just hoping they realise that Sky Sports is the highest package available over here so it should be included in that.

For the UK members how did the Wrestling Channel work a few years back in the UK? Was it included in a different package or did you have to pay for it seperately?

I hope this comes to Australia, highly unlikely as of now though. Will probably be restricted to the USA and possibly UK.

The guys that I watch that stream RAW, Smackdown and PPVs said that they will probably be showing WWE Network reality shows and maybe even a 24 hour channel setup for it. Not sure on if he will be charging or not, more information will probably come closer to it's debut.

PWInsider.com is reporting that Tommy Dreamer and Joey Styles recently shot interviews for the upcoming WWE Network, which would indicate that there are plans to air first-run content on ECW and its past.

Additionally, Dreamer posted the following on Twitter: "Had a great time 2day @ #WWE ECW will live 4ever via #WWENETWORK."

Dreamer was huge in ECW, I can't wait to see how the WWE Network turns out.

The only worry I have for the network is how heavy is the editing going to be? Are the cusses gonna be censored? Blood scenes edited out / black and white? etc etc
