Braun Strowman VS Jinder Mahal VS Sami Zayn
Another Number One Contender, triple threat match was made official for the Payback pay per view event. This time concerning the WWE United States Championship and it came about after a trio of superstars put their names forward. Those being the "Monster Among Men" Braun Strowman, Jinder Mahal and Sami Zayn.
With Strowman stating that he passed out he didn't tap out at Mania, whereas the pair of Mahal and Zayn said that they should have won the ARMBAR. And they blaimed each other for their eliminations in the match which led to Harper getting the win.

The Bar VS Enzo Amore & Big Cass
The final match added to Payback was a tag team match between the Bar and the duo of Enzo Amore and Big Cass. This match came about after both tag teams blaimed each other for their lost at Mania.
